Grandma and Grandpa in rocking chairs, on the porch, side by side, rocking. After awhile Grandma looks over at Grandpa lovingly, and sweetly says "I'm sure proud of you"......... Grandpa says "what did ya say?"........ a little louder she says "I'm sure proud of you"..........Still not making it out he says "HUH?" ........."I SAID I'M PROUD OF YOU"......... "Well, I'm tired of you too!"

I don't know if I don't recognize the "real joke" here. I can only say that when I started learning English (in school at the 7th grade) and learned the days of the week I memorized Wednesday exactly like this in my head so that I would write it correctly!
So yes, I feel the same way as written in the picture! 
If that happened to me on the church bus, I just put the bus in reverse, accelerated sharply, then braked hard. Door closed. Also the remaining kids on the bus got a kick out of it.

Sometimes at my job, the whole walk-in cooler smells overwhelmingly like pickles. Somebody bumped the pickle bucket again.
