I think you are right. I see God as owning everything. Only the chosen or the elect are what you call His personal collection if you will.

As for the contradicting part I am gonna have to think of a better way to state it. I believe the wedding invitation is to all. He gives it to all to be fair and just. In claiming you are without excuse. When you reject that call you are doing it of your own free will. When you except it you are doing it because you were chosen. When you do awnser you also come to Him because of His loving patience and perseverance in your life. When you get on you knees that time you really ment it. It wasent because you had a gun to your head. You did come to Him with your own free will that day just like he knew you always would.
Thank you for explaining. I feel challenged at times to express my understanding well also. In Rev someone
answered the call but was thrown out any way. Remember that story? He was not properly clothed. I do not
believe Scripture teaches free will. The whole world is under the influence of and been deceived by the evil
one and we are told specifically of some who have been taken captive to the will of the devil. That does not
speak of a will that is free at all. It is Jesus Who sets us free. Slaves to sin, lovers of darkness, people who
suppress the Truth in unrighteousness are bound to the nature they were born with until it is changed.

"Free will" in the Bible? ~ Freedom is something believers are called to (Galatians 5 verse 13). We need Jesus to “set us free” (Galatians 5 verse 1). If Jesus has not freed us from the bondage of sin, then we are still slaves to sin (Romans 6 verses 6-7). Freedom is found in the presence of the Spirit (2 Corinthians 3 verse 17). Only Jesus can give us true freedom (John 8 verse 36). Only through His lovingkindness can we truly make choices unfettered by a nature that is inherently hostile toward God.

I just dont like this idea of throwing all free will out the window is all. I guess I dont like it when it is implied God made the unbeliever not believe in Him.

And yet we are told the world does not know God. We are called out of the world. A distinction is made for a reason...

John 17:9 is also talking specifically to and about the Disciples of Jesus. The Verses before explain this.

Amazing how many take a single verse out of complete context and use it for something it doesn't mean.

Boy, you can say that again!
I tried to get @Magenta to start a baby food company and appoint me as CEO. However, she refused!
You know people say things like that gw whatever guy as if the natural man seeks after God when God's Word says he does not.

People like that run around like others here acting like they needed no help from God at all... while they ignore what is said of the natural man and ascribe to him qualities, characteristics, and abilities possessed only by the spiritual man. They make no distinction because they do not know the difference and refuse to acknowledge all Scripture has to say on the matter. They cannot see what they are blind to.

Not everyone is as stubborn as you were, Magenta.
Every Christian owes it to the truth of God in Christ to stubbornly hold to the truth of Christ and his teachings when encountering false teachings.

As I have stated before, some of us were raised by Christian parents
and have believed in Jesus and the words of God all of our lives.

In my case, as a shy nine year old I just needed to build up enough courage to walk down the aisle
during a revival service and profess my faith in front of a large congregation.
Here's the hard truth. It doesn't matter how you were raised. Or what you did at a young age.

The point is,the truth is, does God know you,any of us who profess ourselves to be in Christ, by name? As was written in his Lamb's Book of Life before the foundation of the world?

Only those names are his.
The Elect of God.

We are told repeatedly by God/Jesus, we do not choose him. He chooses us.

We say we believe in Jesus. But we don't believe that what he told us?

It's what we are by virtue of being born in Adam. We were by nature... It is the natural man.
Noah was the tenth from Adam was he born as an object of wrath ?

“These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭6:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Do you see how these men weren’t objects of wrath ? And all were born of Adam

By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:4-7‬ ‭KJV‬

many born of Adam weren’t objects of wrath who did right before the lords eyes another would be job who also knew he would rise again when his lord came.

“There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.”
‭‭Job‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

when you read Paul sis your really far into the story of what happened . Those men weren’t objects of Gods wrath because they lived upright lives and didn’t provoke his wrath against wickedness and sin. That’s what Gods wrath is come for the sinfulness and wickedness of mankind. So we need to repent whether you label someone “ spiritual or natural “ they need to hear and believe the gospel or they will never receive the Holy Ghost.

those who live on unapologetic sinful lives like Paul’s saying are the objects of wrath

“And you hath he quickened, who were dead in your trespasses and sins;

wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:1-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it doesn’t mean if your a human he’s saying if you live a sinful life it makes a person an object of wrath.

look what he’s saying in chapter 5 of the same letter to the same people

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; ( he’s talking to Gods children on his church ) and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:1-7‬ ‭

When a person receives the spirit ( which is what makes one spiritual ) then this is for them sister

“Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:12-13‬ ‭

a that’s not for someone who doesn’t believe and hasn’t received the holt ghost it’s for those who have like this

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s not that the Holy Ghost forces us to suddenly be holy magically , we still have to yield to God still resisting temptations and following the spirit our companion leading us home.

it’s why Paul wrote all those things about it like this is more ( note he says he’s said this repeatedly )

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: ( long list of sinful attitudes and behaviors ) of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:16, 19-21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It always comes back to doing evil provokes his wrath honestly if you say a persons natural or spiritual doesn’t change that they all have to face the same judgement of the same Lord and same word. God rewards those who seek him and we aren’t spiritual until we believe the gospel can’t possibly receive the spirit without believing the gospel …..everyone has sinned themselves that’s what condemns and corrupts us we arent born that way or predestined that way at all many men were observed by God to be righteous and godly men and all came from adams flesh and blood

we all became objects of wrath when all had sinned and fallen short and there was no one left worthy …..,sin provokes his wrath

These folks weren’t born condemned but what they did provoked it

because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be poured out upon this place, and shall not be quenched.”
‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭34:25‬ ‭KJV‬

would you agree they provoked it by thier rebellious deeds and he wasn’t angry with them prior ? But actually had chosen them as his people ?

Ezekiel 18 verses 4 plus 32 ~ Behold every soul belongs to me both father and son are mine. The soul who sins is the one who will die. For I take no pleasure in anyone's death, declares the Lord God. So repent and live!

I love the example FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD and I John used a word that literally means Universe as in the entire creation and many will argue that still only means a few not the entire creation.

The blind will always be blind and all we can do is ignore them.

Your posts are too long for me to absorb all at once. Scripture says none are righteous. Nope. Not one. Are you saying some
are or were? God says David did all God wanted except in the matters of murder and adultery. Yeah, very righteous. And let's
not forget that census. But we were all of the world before being called out of the world. Does this need explanation?

If any had their own righteousness they would not need Christ's. I put on His, and thank God for it.

No. Jesus's payer was not only for His Disciples.

[Jhn 17:20 KJV] 20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
