I think what many miss about Europe,Canada and the others is that at this point the US goes from one set of policies to another set as quickly as we go from Republican to Democrat presidents. One POTUS reverses agreements made by one POTUS then the election comes and the new POTUS reverses everything the one before them did. On again, off again,on again off again why bother with the US at all regardless of which party win's when it comes to defense and economy it's the same as hiring an employee who calls in sick every other day of the week. It won't matter who wins next time it's at its end it seems.
I don't think so. As the leading consumer nation in the world, the world like it or not has to negotiate with us.
Also, if the economy is doing great by the end of the 4 years, it would be stupid for the next administration to choose those policies to attack. If they were wise, they would only attack those that their voters have issues with and not their wallets. But Democrats as of lately have been self-sabotaging so who knows?
Like the way we buy oil from the country that killed 3,000 americans? But I think I already mentioned that earlierIn the George Soros school of thought in US and elsewhere, there's this confusion that USA is going to die if it doesn't have allies while USA pays money and military to protect half of allies while said-allies go and do business with US rivals and foes for which the said-allies want protection from.
Make it make sense.
Can't. It's liberal logic. Nothing makes sense.
You never commented on trade we have with countries who have killed far more Americans. Care to now?Like the way we buy oil from the country that killed 3,000 americans? But I think I already mentioned that earlier
People may not always think big themselves, but they can still get very excited by those who do.
Morning RA!"The final key to the way I promote is bravado. I play to people’s fantasies. People may not always think big themselves, but they can still get very excited by those who do. That’s why a little hyperbole never hurts. People want to believe that something is the biggest and the greatest and the most spectacular. I call it truthful hyperbole. It’s an innocent form of exaggeration—and a very effective form of promotion."—The Art of the Deal, p. 58
In other words: Manipulate, Manipulate, Manipulate!
Very curious how the Donald believes deceiving people is somehow a virtue; like he's doing them a favor. It explains why he viciously attacks anyone who calls him on his BS: he operates in BS; take that away and he's got nothing.
Those countries aren't currently committing worldwide terrorist attacks either. You never commented on trade we have with countries who have killed far more Americans. Care to now?
Really? No covert ops? How do you know? Those countries aren't currently committing worldwide terrorist attacks either.
Yes, Dude never ceases to amaze us with his access to what must be top secret intelligence that he has no qualms about sharing on a public forum.Really? No covert ops? How do you know?
And what are these terrorist acts?
I didn't say that... though I don't have much to add on this thread, as both sides have valid points. My view is that America is at war, and Trump is a wartime president. So out of necessity, he is doing some things that under ordinary circumstances should not be done - or at least should be done differently. And this is because the things that ought to have been done were not done for a very long time.OK I am completely confused, I thought both you and CommodoreTeach had both decided to leave this thread. Are you speaking in doublespeak? This could be the source of the confusion.
I'm hoping the actions of Trump finally put an end to the long-reigning occupying power.
