Bro, the situation is ripe for him to do that because the liberals are more clueless and lost in delusions and identity crisis.
They don’t understand the basic concepts of society such as safety, jobs, health and education.

I might have told how my wife and I went to Canada a couple yrs ago on a day excursion from our cruise ship, and took a tour of St. John's Nova Scotia area I think. The bus guide made it seem like we were in communist China with how insanely over the top their laws were if you were caught doing VERY minor Offenses like fishing a minute after sunset. And she was very gleeful to report how they would confiscate your stuff and throw you in jail. We wanted to get the h*ll out of there.
I bring this up, so that people can see just how awful, and aligned with the CCP Canada has become. From killing large amounts of their own citizenry through "assisted suicide", to fining, jailing, and reeducating people that speak against the LGBTQ mafia, to persecuting the Amish.

I view stories about the US making Canada the 51st state like shooting tear gas into a building before the SWAT team comes in. We are now in full blown war with Russia, Iran and China and so the news is now filled with tear gas to keep people confused and befuddled.

You’re making a strawman of my beliefs. I’m not even a liberal.
I am well aware of the history of this country. We were built on breaking away from a king and separating powers to avoid the concentration of powers.
This administration is doing whatever they want, regardless of Congress and the courts. This is directly in violation to the constitution, our for father spent a long time deciding what type of powers the president has and doesn’t have to avoid having an all powerful king like they escaped from in England.
The constitution only allows for two terms.
