What does God say about immigrants?

When a stranger resides with you in your land, you shall not wrong him. The stranger who resides with you shall be to you as one of your citizens; you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt” (Lev. 19:33-34).

Exodus 22:21 ESV
“You shall not wrong a sojourner or oppress him, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.

Numbers 15:15-16 ESV
For the assembly, there shall be one statute for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you, a statute forever throughout your generations. You and the sojourner shall be alike before the Lord. One law and one rule shall be for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you.”

Of course, Heaven and God's kingdom-to-come have entry requirements.

Is Israel justified to limit who can emigrate there? Are Israel's Jews obligated to become a minority in the only Jewish nation in the world?

As an American and as a Christian I believe that the U.S. SHOULD welcome ALL who want to come on one condition; that they pledge their agreement that they will respect and abide by the U.S. Constitution rather than, for example, Sharia law or some other belief system.

As a Christian, what are your thoughts, please?
Just a quick note:

1.) These verses only address how an immigrant should be treated AFTER he is allowed in.

2.) These verses DO NOT ADDRESS the issues preceding the immigration: such as whether or not a particular country should allow immigration at all, and to what degree, and at what times, and under what stipulations and conditions, and from what countries, and to what sorts of people. None of these issues, which we currently debate, are addressed in these verses or in any others.

3.) In a nutshell, neither these verses nor any others, as far as I'm aware, address the legal issues regarding how a sovereign nation should conduct it's immigration policy.

God bless, and have a great Sunday.

Correct, there is no biblical directive concerning what a country should or should not do as far as establishing immigration laws. I think God left that up to the magistrates. So that a Goddly nation will have Goddly magistrates and then they would do what is best for the nation.

Taking the idea immigration into our homes ,your houses. Should we have a completely open policy? Most of us have families would we not want to know the character of those we invite in? Would we invite in a drug kingpin etc.? People who are crossing the boarder illegality are starting out by breaking the laws we wish them to abide by . Kinda make sense they would lie? Legal immigration is how half my grandparents got here.

The Scriptures you are providing do not properly fit because illegal immigration is ILLEGAL! Try this one:

Romans 12:8
The one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
Romans 2:13
For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified.

America is not a Theocracy.

Immorality is making open borders a policy that then permits an influx of illegal aliens, including Chinese nationals, terrorists, and cartel members involved in sex trafficking, and drug smuggling including Phentynal.

Immorality is abandoning national security.

While President Trump supported and assured a border wall construction project, the Pope chimed in and decreed border walls are immoral.

He said this from behind the border wall that surrounds Vatican city and the Holy See.
Tom Homan responds to the Pope's criticism.

I think it depends on the reasons for limiting it. The US shouldn't just allow free reign, but should make it easier for people to come here legally and become US citizens. What MAWA is doing is very offensive to God in my opinion. They really just want to make America white again. That's what their agenda is all about; it's not Christian at all.

Under the Biden administration we witnessed an ILLEGAL immigration invasion of America (with hopes of more future democrat voters) which is not Christian at all. Who said anything about making America white again? Would you prefer to see whites become the minority in America? Apparently that was Biden's plan, even back when he was Vice President. When you want to overthrow a country it makes it easier if you can turn the majority into the minority.

Hey brother!! Long time, no see. I believe you are correct. But there were borders in the Bible and there is nothing said against having them and they were respected. Apparently the pope has never read the OT.

Those who mistreat immigrants do so at their own peril. You have been warned.

Matthew 22:34-40
But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. 35 And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him. 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

Yep, you can love them all the way home. You can pray for them, visit them if you wish to. But if they come here illegally they have broken the law and must go back.

California moves to give unemployment benefits to illegal immigrants as border crisis grows

https://thepostmillennial.com/calif...nts-as-border-crisis-grows?utm_campaign=64487

Democrat politicians in California have been considering a proposal that will grant illegal aliens residing in the state the ability to receive unemployment benefits, as Title 42 expired last week.

Sen. María Elena Durazo (D), who sponsored the bill, lamented that illegal aliens "continue to be shut out from California’s economic success" despite their work in industries such as agriculture, clothing and construction, according to Fox News.

First of all "these people" were sent here by God, not Biden. This is the fulfillment of the plague of locusts brought into our coasts by a strong East wind and then spread throughout the entire land. Trump removing them is also of God, because people prayed and repented, and God sent a strong west wind to drive the locusts into the sea. The East wind is globalism, the west wind is nationalism, and the next plague to hit will be the three days of darkness. That plague is also the same time that the rapture takes place and that plague takes place before Nisan, because after that plague Moses and Aaron (signifying the two witnesses that will be with those left behind in the wilderness) says this month is the first month of the year for you referring to Nisan. The time is close.

So we're in the tribulation now?

Interesting, I will keep following along to hear your POV.
