Janet Yellen already told us we have reached the debt ceiling. There is no longer a way to raise more money from debt.

This doesn't mean the US is about to get foreclosed upon. If this were me or you that is what it would mean, but for huge corporations, fortune 500 companies and something as big as the US government they will always wait until the building collapses of its own accord. Kind of like those barns that farmers stop using but don't tear down.

Already 50% of the world is no longer buying US debt and many of those countries are selling it. This means the "barn" is being abandoned.

Trump is not going to restore the US to the status of being the number one economy and envy of the world. He is fighting an organized retreat. The US ran a $2 trillion dollar deficit in our budget last year. That has to stop immediately. We take in 4.5 trillion in tax revenue and over $4 trillion cannot be touched on our budget, those are obligations that if you don't keep you have declared bankruptcy by violating your fiscal obligations.

That means he must cut everything else. Yes, some things will be graft, or absurd. But there is no way we spent $2 trillion last year on drag queens or bribes. So there is going to be a lot of very painful cuts. But here is the thing, if you cut $2 trillion in government expenditures you will also be cutting tax revenue from those contracts and all the people that were employed that just got laid off. So going forward our tax revenue will fall too, not as fast as our overall expenses, but for every $1 we cut in spending we may cut $0.20 in tax revenue. So in 2026 instead of 4.5 trillion in tax we may only pull in $4 trillion.

Yes, there are things that can be done, but there are no easy choices. For example he could manipulate the gold and silver markets to help pay off debt, but by so doing it will cause havoc to the world's economy and all electronics industries and so will certainly have negative consequences to our exports, imports, and tax revenue. He can go to war but we all know that in reality war is a big loser and there are no winners. He can also go to an austerity budget, but doing that will also cause the world to suffer greatly, not just the US and at a time when everyone is going to war, probably result in a World War.

Those are his options, so when you understand that weigh that against some government agency being cut. Would you rather lose the department of Education or would you rather have WW3 go nuclear? Your choice.

Yes I agree with your overall reasoning here, I think overall my point is that when it affects vulnerable children, advanced planning and some understanding of why some departments were created would be best.

Well, let us play this your way. Trump fired employees at the National Nuclear Security Administration and now is backtracking like a hooked Marlin in The Mexican Gulf/American Gulf/Soon to be known as The Alphabet+ Gulf to get them back.

It is concerning that he is more into the firing of people than actually knowing whom he is firing. USAID or NNSA. Does he know the difference?
I think he does because he’s been dealing with beurocracy since the 80s in New York realty estate.
He’s firing admins and layers of managers as supposed to technicians.

For example if I was the CIO of the IT dpt I work at, I would immediately fire about 50% of the workforce since they’re useless admins or managers.
Not only they don’t help, but they create barriers.

This is what Musk has revealed so far with this beurocracy which pays people who are 200 years old social security checks.

Will there be small mistakes along the way?
Sure.

But I’m willing to forgive them when I compare them with the left’s sales pitch where they want to convince me that a man in a dress is a woman.

I beg to differ. NNSA cannot be classified as an organization where mishaps like this are seen as “small mistakes along the way”.

The “Learn as you go” administration is at it again.

Trump is working against a hard deadline of March 14th. Currently we are working on Joe Biden's budget, they didn't pass a new one, and the deadline is March 14th. If they can't fix this by March 14th all confidence in the US evaporates. Interest rates on credit cards will go up, most people will lose their credit, and the US economy will go the way of James Dean.

Because DOGE is making huge claims of finding trillions of dollars of fraud and because Trump is canceling programs, canceling budgets, laying off people, and buying out people for early retirement we have not lost the confidence of the world's bankers yet.

Yes I was thinking there was a reason for working so quickly.

BTW there is some very good research done that theorizes any country that has interest payments higher than defense will collapse. Which of course is where the US is right now. So anyone who wants to call this chicken little and people have been complaining about the debt for years, it is only just recently we passed the threshold where interest payments became our biggest expense.

The same goes for my wife's employer. 50% could be fired and the company would make 100% more profit. Just imagine if we had common sense regulations. No 'layers' of watchers. .......We would all be very rich.

But when half the population gets hand outs......They want their easy money.

If you didn't want this to happen then next time try to stop your friends when they try to sell me a man in a dress as a woman.
Cheers.

So Trump is using all three strategies. The spoils of war can help put assets into our credit column, manipulating gold and silver can help pay down our debt, Tariffs and cutting the US budget can help make our economy sustainable. I suspect behind closed doors he is claiming that Greenland is also the spoils of war for the US providing most of the funds for the war in Ukraine.

Yes but sometimes carelessness can lead to the death of the patient.
Of course.
But, it is being done in the face of inevitable death.

In the Army, they teach all soldiers how to stop the bleeding.
You must be trained...
Civilians normally have no idea what to do...
And, fear the sight of blood.

So...

You just stand by and watch those who actually know what you do not know how to do.
Hide your eyes if need be until it is over.
God supplies deliverance of a nation...

He changes times and seasons;
he deposes kings and raises up others.
He gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to the discerning.

Thats strange, because not long ago, the AFD was against the USA . There are more supporting Putins russia. Alice Weidel calls germans in an interview in the US Magazin "the american conservative" slaves of Amerika. The AFD is anti america and anti europe.
That sort of makes sense though if you consider the election because when Biden was President AFD was against the US but now under Trump they support the US. Biden supported Ukraine and was against Russia, while Trump is more supportive of Russia and less of supportive of Ukraine. Thanks for clearing up things about Alice Weidel though because homosexuality is "not supported" by the right wing ideas in US politics which was why I was curious about Vance making his comments supporting the AFD.
