Well, not sure who told you that God is supposed to answer you directly in the form of a miracle, because nobody in my church told me this.
So when i thought that i was dying and stuck in bed for 1 year without moving, i thought that it's time for me to go.
But, God showed me a Miracle and healed me.
Don't know why i got this and why doesn't a child who's dying from cancer is not getting this, but i was at peace either way.

He is in control and i was already grateful and satisfied from hearing others getting Miracles and i didn't expect one but when i got one, my spiritual tank is filled to the maximum now and i honestly can't wait for God to come over to all of us and begin His Second Return.

I have too many people complaining from too many sides. Every day at my job I hear people complaining about politics, relationships, customers, fellow employees... And yes, complaints about the church and God too... Anything they even mildly dislike or find the least bit distasteful... And they can't do one thing about all these things they are complaining about, and certainly I am not in any position to do anything about them. But they complain about all these things anyway.

Shoot, sometimes I actively avoid talking to some people because I know they will turn any conversation, any topic into yet another recitation of their same old complaints.

And you are out here actually looking for complaints? Like, not even just entertaining complaints and enjoying them, you are actively SEEKING them?

And not only that, but you came online looking for them. You couldn't get enough complaining in your personal life, so you came to an internet forum to solicit complaints from people around the world!

There is only one thing I know that can start to rationalize such an incomprehensible issue. There's an old saying: one man's trash is another man's treasure. Maybe this is like how some people enjoy smoked oysters while other people find them repugnant. Of course I can't imagine why you would enjoy people's complaints, although I have seen other people enjoy it when they listen to people complaining. But then again, some other people can't imagine why I enjoy smoked oysters.

You mean like yesterday I was at the mall with my kids, and I ordered from Wetzel Dog the mini Dog bite snacks and drink and it costs me $21 bucks!! Ouch...

Did you ever hear the song "I'm not in love" by 10cc? You know that part in the interlude where the lady keeps on repeating "Big boys don't cry?" Yea, that's a lie. Some pretty big boys cried or wept in scripture, and among them are Jesus, David, Jeremiah, Paul, and Peter.

You have no idea (or maybe you do) how many days I have been like a dead man (on the inside) walking. At least hundreds of them, if not thousands of them. It's all part of the process of dying to ourselves, so that we might live for Christ. Is it painful? Yes, but new life only truly comes after an old death.

Brother, it's been a process and I'm still learning and growing. When I read Hebrews 12:6 "For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth." the Holy Spirit let that verse sink into my heart, and I believe it, because God can not lie and then it then some of my pain, it kind of made sense...well somewhat, I had to look up scourgeth because it's not in the other translations, it means to discipline with a whip or flog.

How did I receive healing? Honestly only through God's grace, I was on my knees for weeks, crying out the PSALMS of David, and he answered one my prayers, which increased my faith to pray more, which lead to another answered prayer and changed my heart. I tell you this brother, nothing increases your faith like an answered prayer.

Honestly I pray for those so they don't lose their faith in prayer. It's really hard when God doesn't answer. But I learned that you can fast until you hear from God, like Daniel.

Praise Good man. I was pretty mad at God and when things didn’t work out like I thought, then I got confused, offended, and pretty much lost my faith. I’m gearing up to seek God again, I just have it quite got up the gumption yet. Ive allowed doubt to creep in. I put a lot into that fasting and prayer, and then to get nothing out if it was a big hole in my spirit.

If things don't go the way I want, it is often up to me to decide if I will go with the way things are going instead.

Of course I don't have to... But it's usually the best way to go, if I'm not going to get my way anyway.

It occurred to me that I don't find myself asking God for much of anything other than to let me know that He hasn't left me. Maybe that's the same coin. Where you get angry, I struggle against falling into despair. And it doesn't even help if I were to share how He lets me know that He sees, and hears, me, even if I'm only speaking in my heart, since doing so would only result in the opinion that I'm entirely bonkers.

For sure, there are many who left the faith, when they prayed for something, like for example, healing of a dying family member, cancer, etc. and it didn't happen. We are human, if you don't have doubt you aren't human. How long can you endure? That's tough man...
at 52, can I wait and be faithful like Joseph for 13 years? I'd probably crack. But if the Lord wants to sustain you, he can and will.

Yep, there are many verses about why God doesn’t answer - unconfessed sin, not giving finances because of ill intent, not healing, not His time, not His way, etc etc.

It’s kind of like when Israelites (and Hophni and Phineas) got the Ark if the Covenant in the camp. They were so pumped that the ground shook. And yet they were both defeated and died, and Israel suffered one of its greatest defeats. Of course we know that Hophni and Phineas were totally corrupt and thought they could go into battle and win just because they had the Ark. Not only was God exceedingly angry, but He destroyed them and Eli completely. Many of us think we can just seek God and that’s it, or fast and think God will automatically adhere to us, but it doesn’t work that way. I’ve learned that if you fast and God is not telling you to, or you have unconfessed sin, then you are in danger of stirring Gods wrath against you, as I did. Then you’re worse off than when you started. God will not bend to our demands or requests if we do not meet His criteria. Period.

And so, many Christians have invoked His wrath and sought Him either with unclean hands or unconfessed sin or wrong motives and are now in a bad situation. What can they do? Tough one.

Hi Burn, I appreciate your honest question and I commend you for being plucky enough to ask it.

I don't know what you are petitioning God for, but it's possible He hasn't answered the way you want because He knows it's not the best thing for you.

I was mad at God for several years. And to this day, I have to acknowledge it as the dumbest thing I ever did. FINALLY I realized that my anger was ruining my life and my relationship with Him. So I turned over the thing I was wanting/hoping/praying for, and asked Him to make me content without it.

And honestly, I have to say He answered that prayer. Not the prayer for the thing I wanted, mind you.... it's been 15 years since and still no dice. But He DID answer my prayer for contentment. So I really can't complain. And along the way I learned something about trusting Him and His plan and timing, too.
