Slain in the spirit?

I don't know what these folk would have done on the day of Pentecost. Any slight move of the Spirit and they blame the devil! If the power of the Holy Spirit moves on them I think they'd clean pass out!!

Agreed and supported by scripture, we are to take EVERYTHING to the God head for confirmation, many stop and salvation and fail to continue to grow in Him, to walk in vital one on one relationship as He requires. This relationship promises to guide us in ALL truth, that we no longer lean on our own understanding.
We notice this in the use of I,me and my, we are no longer our own when we are in Him, our thoughts are to be His thoughts, our actions His actions as we are being conformed to His image.

The way I see it regardless what church I went to my relationship with him was what brought about the event I surrendered control of his temple as we are not our own and our bodies are his temple the laying of hands is in scripture my foot was healed and God was glorified and praised for it so in all accounts it seems obvious this was a move of God like the wind he goes and does what he pleases.

I admit though there are some who fake these things but going in with skepticism will always end in skepticism it is the opposite of faith it is doubt and doubt is a poison to the soul.

I hope one day my eyes will be healed too though that church is not all there either as any church would be some people tried to speak tongues over me at the alter but sadly it was fake I know the real thing anyone can claim to have the gift of discernment but the spirit speaks to the spirit and I don't like fake tongues it is a gift you either have or don't not one you practice and eventually get it right

Unfortunately, all we have to go on is Blain's account of what happened. If he says what happened, happened, it's not my place to try and take it away from him. I won't call him a liar, yet I remain skeptical which seems the most prudent course of action considering the times of deception we're living in. If others want to take his word for it I guess that's up to them; it's not really any of my business.

Maybe slain in the spirit is not the correct term for it but surely you have encountered his presence before right? imagine his presence but immensely to the point your body cannot handle it it is like that which happened to paul when Jesus showed up that is the best way I know to describe it like his presence is so powerful you lose your strength

I don't doubt the Lord's power at all. My doubts are in false teachers and false prophets.

I fully understand. It does still happen but.. well anyway. For me that one time was it. Most as I think I said just fall back because they don't know other then.. everyone else does This is about a word you used "experience" I was taught from the start you never run with "experiences". You never chase after them. But believers do have a tendency to tell God (His sweet sweet spirit) just what He can do and not do. If I go in "pfft I don't believe in that" that is exactly what I will see nothing.

When I was young I did haha.. our choir going to other Churches we sing then go pray. Some Chruch in some city I had never been to. That afternoon after Church went for a walk alone said "lord I know you called me but I don't know to what". That night we sing and then go out to pray for people. I see Roy M to my left but he was not praying for someone ..someone had his hands on him praying. I just knew it was God and .. lol thought ooh maybe if I go over there he will pray for me.

So I go over and he does. Takes his hands of Roy M and puts them on me and said "My son I have called you but you do not know to what I will open all the doors. You have great faith........" so forth so on. Even though I knew it was GOD I still went to my Pastor and asked if 1 he knew the man and 2 if that mans word could be trusted. The Pastor (Jim R) said yes.

Slain in the spirit happens all the time. Not going to talk about things I am not part of don't see. Where I have been yes some must fall. When you are face to face and ask.. many will tell you.. no way was I going to fall but next thing I knew I was on my back and His presence was all over that Church. Were human haha so your always going to have those that take it way farther then He does. I am not there God nor teacher not paster nor Apostle so.. I think their Father can handle them better then me

Here is a question and a story I visited a church called rebibal for Christ this place was unlike any other church I have been to the spirit hits you like a wall when you walk in. well the preacher was a woman and she was preaching powerfully as I listened I began to feel a kind of trance take over and my head kepts falling backwards but I resisted it until the third time now I had a broken foot at that time but the spirit took over my body and I began walking to the stage barely aware of what was going on

she kept preaching seeing me walking to the stage and as soon as I got to the top she put her hands on my forehead and my body fell backwards but was caught by several people who began speaking tongues over me I even tried to resist and get up but my body simply wouldn't and I saw a portal open and jesus was smiling at me

Now this was what I think is called slain in the spirit but my question is if this can be explained with scripture

No, but it would have been impressive if she had healed your foot.

(Now, being slain with Christ is scriptural :^)

WHY does so many say it's all of the devil?

If any of you were there, what would you judge? Would you say it was all of the devil because Aaron was totally outnumbered?
Yes Satan performs many "manipulative miracles"..... but why?
The sorcerers did the same thing to copy Aaron's miracle, to try to prove their god was just as mighty.
That still happens today in services when God's power is present to do great things.
Aaron's serpent bore fruit by swallowing all the others. Theirs could do nothing.
That's the same difference today... The Holy Spirit brings forth purpose & fruit... real results.
Few understand that the devil is always present to copy God's work, only his has no lasting results.
That is the REAL REASON why so many say it's of the devil, because some of it is.
Blain is still walking on his fruit, so if you judge, you better make sure it's righteous judgment instead of self-righteous judgment.

BTW, Satan does this to copy ALL the gifts of the Spirit as well.
And yes, because the righteous is few, we're still outnumbered.
Theirs brings only excitement, while ours cause us to do exploits for the LORD.

The way Blain described it is he got a touch from the Holy Spirit. I have been in hundreds of churches, I'm well aware of what some are about. This was not that situation.

Well, I know a very good speaker,he reaches young people. He can convince people with his way to speak. He is a charismatic, claim to have the baptism of empowerment, speaks in tongues and is a Catholic who teaches and defend their doctrines.
In my understanding someone who claim to is full of the Holy Spirit cant teach lies and false doctrines. His bishop calls him the bridgehead under the evangelicals.
There are leaders in my church they follow this man. And I ask myself, cant they see the danger of his teachings? In our days is very common the saying: Jesus United, doctrine divided. This may be right. But if it is of cost of the biblical truth. Then this saying is not right. But this we have today!
As I said the practice of falling backwards I know only in charismatic circles. And it is also practices in some other religions like the hinduism.
I understand that you dont see the problem.
I know Christians which have no problem to believe messanges of angles. Ore believing people which have extrabiblical revealations from Jesus himself and visited Him in heaven.
Since I became a child of God, I can discern false teachings. Its a gift which was suddenly there. And I realise that many havent this gift to discern the spirits.
It is not that I will to discredit you. But I do not believe that such practices are from the heavenly father given.

The other speaker you mention is a perfect example of what we should avoid: people who demonstrate "miraculous powers" but who don't teach the truth (that being Catholicism in this case).

You see that is the thing I didn't believe in it either until I surrendered to the spirit and it happened to me I cannot stand fake people so if they were doing something like that I would have no part of it but she just put her hand on me she didn't push I fell backwards as if thrown and was not hurt

So their tactics was not there now you can think I am lying if you wish but all those fake people are the reason why when it does actually happened people get a bad rep for it

Yes, they are protected. But that doesn't mean the devil isn't present. During alter calls, what do you think makes sinners & sometimes saints not go up front for prayer?
As many have said in the past, Satan is more committed to going to church than we are. There wouldn't be ANY spiritual warfare in the church service if he wasn't there.

Jesus said you will know them by their fruit. If christians believes this teaching stubbornly, many wouldn't be listening to the praise & worship of a lot of churches whose preaching they refuse.
