This is hogwash. There is one law. You can show nothing in scripture that supports this claim. It's simply a desperate, pathetic attempt to justify legalism
Please reply.....

I have clearly shown that obeying the law is not legalism if your motive is love.

"There is one law" you said....
If there is one law, are we condemned by it or not?
Does the one law covict or does it show that we have sinned?

Sin is the transgression of THE LAW.
John 3:4.

If the law is not valid and has no power we are not sinners. Rom 7:7.
If we are not sinners we do not need grace and we do not need forgiveness.

If the law includes all laws ( old and new), and is valid and does point out our sins today we have two problems

1. All the Laws including circumstances and blood offerings are very hard to keep today. The list is very cumbersome like going to the temple each year.
Some of these law are impossible to keep.
And if all these laws are valid we have no chance of practicing love. Rom 13:10

2. If the law is valid and points out our sins we are all condemned to death.
We need salvation.
We need forgiveness from each law we transgress.
We need to confess each sin.
We need to repent of each sin.

If all these laws are valid we need to confess lots of sins and repentance means we turn from the evil and sin no more...

If the one law is love we need to understand what love is. Define love.

Paul said love is the keeping of the law quoting some of the 10 commandments.

Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments. Jesus quoted many of the 10 commandments.
The 10 commandments are an expression of love.

This apparently is based on the claim of one man. I'm not convinced

all the evidance in the world will not convice someone that has made up their mind.
type in "beavers that rest on the sabbath". i did and more then 10 sites came up talking about it. some were science based and some were from a biblical base. if you open up your heart and allow yourself to see it is amazing what you can find... there are lots of other animals that rest on the sabbath too.

If the law is not valid and has no power we are not sinners.
Sin existed before the law. Believers are dead to the law, so sin is not imputed to them

For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Romans 5:13

The covenant is between Israel/Judah as embodied by the 11 disciples and God. The son of God was the mediator.
The old covenant was between God and Israel. The new covenant is between God the Father and God the Son. Only God can keep an eternal covenant.

Why do you keep claiming the law is for everyone when the scripture tells us it was only given
to Israel?
because the promises given to Israel are for me. By Christ i am an Israelite
In Christ we are all one.
We are the heirs of Abraham If we are become a child of Christ by faith.

Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

That makes me an Israelite. Not a gentile.

Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Jeremiah 31:31-34

Why do you ignore the scripture?
all scripture is given by inspiration
This was written when there was no new testement. but it applies to the new testement too, so i believe in obeying all scripture.

2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

There were certain rules that proselytes, ie, gentile believers, had to follow in order to attend the Jewish synagogues. Those rules given by James were to prevent them from offending their synagogue hosts and thereby lose access to scripture. It has nothing to do with Christian behavior apart from that situation.
So your saying that prohibiting sexual immorality was a rule to obey in a synagogue?

Where does it say this?
Well you have to believe (faith) and acknowledge Christ as lord (obedience) to receive the circumcision of the heart, which is the sign of new covenant membership, as circumcision in the flesh was the sign of old covenant membership.

Matthew 5:48
Therefore you shall be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

You have already failed the test and you did not overcome!

Heaven is not for you.
my perfection is found in Christ
Justified before the Judge i will have no sin against my name. By faith in Christ i am able to stand without fault or blemish.

but i have a war agaist self. the flesh is constantly trying to have it's way. If i was perfect i would never give in to the flesh, and i wish that was the case and aim for that to be the case, But i am humble enough to admit it is not the case. I'm in the process of being sanctified by faith in Christ.

Are you perfect before you confess and repent?
Luk 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Rev_3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
1Jn_1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

I didn't ask this. I asked where it is written in the covenant. Can you show it to me?

Look up proselytes of the gate. They had to abide by the rules James mentioned in Acts 15. Proselytes of righteousness had to become circumcised and observe the law of Moses
