how did he get baptized he was physically being crucified on the cross by the Romans. That doesn't make any sense.. He got baptized by the Holy Spirit.
Actually he was baptized by John the Baptist

Matteüs 3

14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? 15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

People often say he was not baptized but they are ASSUMING he was not. They don't know.

but it's not a requirement for salvation. We are saved by grace through faith alone in Lord Jesus right?

yes, thank you. I would love to get baptized and my church is planning to have a service I believe in November. But my previous Church I have never seen them baptize anyone with water and the pastor went to Dallas Theological Seminary and was an esteemed pastor.
communion yes, repentance and alter call, yes..

Thank you so much for your answer

ok this makes sense I didn't know that.

That was Jesus' baptism, not the thief's.

Jesus had no sins to be forgiven of. He was baptized as part of
fulfilling the law regarding priests prior to assuming their duties.

It was also a fulfillment of prophecy identifying the Messiah to John.

so I'm good right?
If you are saying you do not want to get baptized, I would not say that was good.

You may need a bigger spoon to stir things up. I suggest not looking for loopholes.

Is this a Biblical verse? If so please show it.
Acts10-43s.png

Acts 10:43~ All the prophets testify about Him that everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins through His name.

during summer vacation and when i was in a lake in the dessert. I said to my son... I baptize you in the name of Jesus..
and he did it to me. It was kinda of for fun but also kinda serious and we both went under first me, then him.

Looking for loopholes is a sign of a impure heart.

Jeremiah 17:9-10

So you have been baptized. That's good .:D

Romans10-9.png

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart
that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

:)

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever "believes" in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

This was like the first bible verse I learned. They said, just believe this in your heart and you will be saved.
