Hey Everyone!

Across several threads, we've seemed to be slowly amassing a list of foods that some (unnamed) people seem to believe are deserving of a place of eternal isolation and shame.

Here's a list of the most commonly mentioned Food Farces we have seen so far:

1. Miracle Whip
2. Grape nuts
3. Decaf coffee
4. Margarine

And, the biggest culture clashing, riot-inducing suggestion yet  - Vegemite! (To all our Aussie friends -- I did not suggest this, I just had to record it as a candidate nomination made by the people!)

1727451745864.jpeg

Please don't be offended if one of your beloved favorites is on the list! For instance:

* I happen to like Miracle Whip as part of tuna salad.

* Margarine might have a place for those allergic to dairy or for anyone not liking the richness of butter.

* Decaf coffee is helpful to those of us with caffeine sensitivities.

* Grape Nuts apparently doubles as kitty litter (not to mention, Mittens will get plenty of fiber!) 🐈

* Vegemite... Well, we're working on that one!

What about YOU?

* What foods do YOU want to see included on The Very Controversial List of Foods That Belong in the Lake of Fire?

* And what foods are already on the list that you want to defend? (And why?)

This is no surprise coming from me, but the list needs COFFEE COFFEE COFFEE. The End, No If's Ands or Buts! Fat lady sang. Judge made his judgmement. Crossed the finish line. No further comments necessary. *ahem... excuse me
😂
How's that for controversy for you? haha

Vegemite belongs. I had an Aussie friend send me some and I had just a tiny taste and I was done. Bleh.

Peas. I've hated peas all my life. Not only the taste, but the way it feels in my mouth. I can literally gag trying to eat them. As a young kid my parents wouldn't let me off the table till I ate my peas. I could sit there for 30 or more minutes and not touch them. They'd have to give up and say just one or two bites. I'd gag trying to do that little bit.
Same for beans, especially in chili. Taste and texture are unbearable.

Anything spicy. I have a Very low tolerance for heat in food. The strongest I go is mild sauce from Taco Bell. It used to be that was too much for me too. I'm talking two or three drops per taco. 5 tacos wouldn't even use up a whole packet.
I'm even cautious of pepperoni on pizza. Some are too hot for me.

I'm quite a picky eater so I could go on, but those are some of my tops.

I definitely do not like decaf coffee. I don't use Miracle Whip, but I'd use it if it was what was available instead of Mayo (I use avocado oil mayo).

I've been considering ordering a jar of Vegemite to see what I'm missing out on.

As for food I personally can't stand...I'm probably going to get some hate for this, but I can't stand pineapple on pizza, sushi, or pickled beets. I'd rather eat seasoned roasted crickets (and have done so) rather than any of those foods. I'm not particularly fond of caviar. I'd still eat it over those 3 things that I can't stand.

Also, fruity alcoholic beverages. Why a lot of people think all women like those things, I don't understand. Fruity alcoholic beverages belong in the same pit as decaf coffee in my personal opinion.

My favorite thing to consume is coffee - no sugar, no cream, no flavorings!! I have a big thermos mug of it next to me as I type. It'll never show up on my hate list.

Anything with hydrogenated oils is good for using as a candle, so it belongs in a hot place. By no means should they ever be fed to an animal.
Most seed and vegetable oils, corn, soybean, etc can be mixed with bar oil for chainsaw chain lubricant.

I put Canola as THE worst oil.
It's shortened rebranded name for Canadian Industrial Machine Lubricant.
In spite of it being toxic, it's approved by the FDA for human consumption. What does that tell us about the FDA? It's not even good for equipment.

But get this, I've had state registered dieticians and MDs argue with me, with straight faces, that it is "PERFECT NUTRITION" along with gmo high fructose corn and rice syrup. Add some pea powder for protein and you got something worse than soylent green to pump into helpless victims aka patients. That stuff can go to that hot place called hell along with the psychos who force it on those in need.
The MDs, dieticians, those who poison patients are not in positions of "health care", but rather cause far more deaths than all the Ted Bundy type cannibals, mafia hit men, and assorted criminals on the streets of America. Let's think about that for a minute. 🤔
Medical doctors have only gotten worse since Jesus was upon the earth.

25And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, 26And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse."

Oh yeah. Miracle Whip. I love it. I prefer it over mayo, but happy with either. I tend to overuse mayo (or Mircle Whip) when I use it. I like a lot of it. Put it on a sandwich and it's nearly oozing out. 😋😋
Mustard is often good with either as it cuts through the taste and adds a little spark.
Or mixing ketchup and mayo (or MW) together as a dipping sauce for burgers 😋😋
Don't care for condiments on the burger, but it won't stop me from eating it still haha.

Oh. And Pineapple on pizza? Sooooo good. My favorite topping.

As mentioned above, sushi can go too. In fact anything from the water except for canned tuna fish, can go as well. Should've had that on my list above. One of my tops.

Funny seeing Carrie mention that she hates fruity alcoholic drinks, despite it being expected all women like them.
I don't drink, but as a guy, I'd probably prefer fruity drinks. Appletini looks and sounds delicious haha.
Guess we swapped places there. 😂

LoL It's just been my experience that women are expected to like fruit alcoholic beverages (even women seem to expect other women to like them). I know a man who prefers fruity alcoholic beverages. I see no problem with people liking what they like. To each their own. I'd just prefer a plain ol' beer. Preferably Colt 45, PBR, or Modelo.

Anyone who doesn't like Brussels sprouts can give them all to me. It's one of my fave veggies, might even be my favorite.

Yeah, i see that a lot myself.
I remember watching Scrubs and one of the main characters, often considered less masculine, drank appletini's and any guy around, and sometimes women, would complain or pick on him about it haha.

As a non-drinker I'm really not phased by what people drink. Though I have tried beer a few times and no thanks.
Funnily enough my dad drank beer and used to say "you don't drink beer for the taste, it doesn't taste good" 😂
I tried wine and few times, not great but bearable. The only one I ever really liked was made out of some kind of fruit, with a strong fruity taste. That I could have drank a lot of haha.
During my testing phase drinking my favorites were wine coolers and some kind of minty milkshake type mix I had to blend together. I hated everything else haha.

At this point, every food known to man causes cancer in laboratory rats. So I say, try to eat healthy, but enjoy the things you like in moderation. And do some form of regular exercise.
And do a little research. The body needs 90 essential vitamins, minerals, and amino acids daily. The food supply was designed to give calories; not nutrition. This is the reason so many kids are overweight now. Powdered supplements can greatly improve your health rather cheaply.
I personally wouldn't put GrapeNuts on the list. I get nostalgic eating wood chips and pebbles. What little boy hasn't eaten those things.

I'm guessing he was the odd one 😂
My view is that it's an acquired taste. Similar to vegemite. Objectively, at first taste, beer is bitter and just not nice, but there's something about it (maybe the sourness or contradictorily, the sweetness?) that makes me keep wanting more.

I've never tasted them, just don't like the way they look. One of my daughters had some somewhere and loved them so she asked me to get some and prepare them. I told her if she wanted Brussels sprouts she'd have to get them and prepare them herself. She wasn't very happy with me...

I’m glad I didn’t have to get an acquired taste for vegemite. Beer, on the other hand, a Lonestar in my left hand, like a song goes lol.

I think you are correct. Having said that I always liked the taste, I blame my grandmother. One time I seen her giving one of my infant cousins a drink of beer. I was a preteen at the time. I asked, "Do you think it's a good idea to be giving babies beer?" She responded, "It's good for them! I gave you beer when you were a baby!" Hmmm, that explains some things...

Yes. My dad said you have to keep drinking until you get used to it. But once you do that you enjoy drinking it.

I am very sensitive towards anything bitter, hence my strong dislike for coffee and beer.

Oddly enough despite my feeling of coffee being Satan's urine, I actually enjoy the smell of it, both before its made and when it's being made. Plus a bit of nostalgia as my dad drank black coffee every morning, even into his 90s.
