Thank you for your honest as is, sharing I will be forthright with what I know, it will be extremely hard to find a woman who also knows what I know and is prepared to weather what is unfolding now…

Yes I can have just a online friendship possibly relationship but the problem comes is I don't know if based on prior experiences of my past whether I will be able to let my guard down internally as how can one expect to flourish when the storms are on the horizon?

It is therefore then better to weather the storm and once the storm has passed then it would be the correct season to flourish…
I'm not really sure, then, what the purpose of your thread is.
You seemingly have already made up your mind about marriage, so why are you asking about it? Anytime someone promotes the idea of marriage you instantly shut them down.
Your mind is clearly already made up. So what is the reason for this thread?
And this seemingly divine revelation of the future that you're not sharing details about, so it's not about teaching anyone anything. I'm confused.

The purpose was to share as a single man I have a desire for a relationship marriage but due to circumstances I cannot see how that could be fulfilled. It is not that I have my mind made up but my expectations in-line are realistic.

As for the divine revelation. Suffice to say it pertains to 2020 and involves all events specifically since then to the unfolding of WW3 that begun "officially" in April / May 2024.

...it was also to garner as to whether others feels a similar way. In a way to test the "temperature" so to speak.
My temperature is lukewarm.

I'm 46 and still single, mostly due to apathy. I'm not opposed to finding a nice lady and getting married, but I'm not exactly spending a lot of effort looking for one.

Now if I do happen to find a nice lady and marry her, I will probably be very happy. But it will happen or it will not happen. I'm not going to waste a lot of time trying to make it happen.

Yes... my point is that in order to have a relationship, you had to meet someone, then to meet someone you need financial stability as no matter the fact that women are supposedly equals we still are expected to provide that financial safe haven so what happens when you can't. Exactly no interest...

Hello! 👋 To answer your question in my own opinion...everytime is a trying time...but I understand what you meant...especially if it is a long distance relationship...this will be my advice to you dear brother..don't worry about what's going on in the world put your trust in the Lord and carry on... Take an unexpected turn ☺️ Find someone, get to know her, propose and get married if that's what you want☺️ I know a beautiful happily ever after adventure that started in what you called "trying times" ☺️

God bless you 🩷

All I know is, if you wait until life is perfect you will never do it. The present is always going to be trying, uncertain times.
I am not waiting till life is perfect basically I would start a friendship online and see where it goes. What I was trying to convey is that there are certain societal expectations and if you are lacking in your ability to fufil them. Then it is a significant stumbling block.

Dating sites like Christian Mingle? No I don't think so.

Most dating sites require significant financial investment of which I am not in the position to do so currently.

I am not attending local chuches in the traditional sense. No for me it will have to be His grace and will when it is the right time with the right person.
It does cost about $25/mo for 6 mos here is US and about the same in other countries where it's operating. Dating sites aren't for everyone, but for others they've worked quite well.

To clarify I haven't had a stable job for over a year so I am definitely not in the position (where our currency im South Africa the Rand is significantly weaker approximately R17.6 to 1 USD.)

So definitely not.

That is something else I have heard all my life. We are about to have a financial meltdown that will make the Great depression look like a tiny economic dip.

Of course it may happen next week. But it hasn't happened yet in all my 46 years. But I sure have heard people talk about how it's about to happen, for all my 46 years.
I have heard that one all my life too...
I have heard about the 'rapture' all of my life - should I disregard it because I have not personally seen it come to pass yet?

No, but I wouldn't hold my breath for it right now. They'll start calling you little boy blue.

Just a sideline here but pertaining to the "rapture" most are waiting for... Are we so sure the "rapture" is for the righteous and that it is not, in fact for the wicked?

The wicked(Lawless) one will be in charge of all 'left behind'. Only believers are called in the Rapture, not unbelievers.

Yet isn't it interesting... lets look at the scripture... Mark 7:13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.

Matthew 3:10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Matthew 13:29-30 But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.

Matthew 24:40-41
Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Notice it is the wicked who are uprooted "raptured" not the righteous.

We went from looking for a relationship to preaching some kind of crazy new heresy.

I have to give you props for the insane leap though.

Heresy no, it is not, the idea of the "rapture" comes from a Scottish woman... Margaret MacDonald... it is based on her "visions"... also those at the time had an assertion that her visions were in fact from the devil.

If we look at the Bible where were Almighty God's people ever "raptured" away from there trouble?

You don't remember anything about the last part of 1st Corinthians 15?
