Hey Everyone,

Yesterday, @Godsgirl1983 and I were having a conversation about donuts -- particularly the Simpson's infamous pink donut (that I have actually had in real life at Universal Studios Simpson Land in Florida:)




For anyone wanting a little break from some of the heavier topics and worries of life we face every day, come on over and make the vote that REALLY counts -- at least here in the forums!

* WHAT is your favorite kind of donut, and why? For intance, do you like a raised (yeast) or cake donut, and in what flavors?

* If you don't like donuts, what other kinds of treat do you prefer?

* Do you insist on a freshly baked donut, or are prepackaged/marked down/stale versions still acceptable?

* What is your drink of choice with your donuts? (Is it always coffee? Even when it's fall and warm apple cider comes into play?)

* What are some more unique donuts that you've tried? Covered with candy? Smothered with cereal? Done up in an elaborate theme?

I can't possibly list every type of donut in the poll (which will only allow for about 10 answers,) so I'm just going to try to cover the basics. The poll will be multiple choice (so you can pick more than one,) and just for fun, you'll be able to see others' answers! :D

Don't just answer the poll -- come back and give us the REAL roll on how YOU feel about donuts!!

ARGH.

No matter how many times I try to proofread, I ALWAYS miss something.

I KNOW there is a mistake in the poll -- I originally split "Cream Filled" and "Jelly Filled" into 2 different poll answers and forgot to replace the second "Jelly Filled" when combining them.

Those who are used to my threads/polls know there is going to be at least 1 (or 20) typos in them, so I hope this won't distract from the fun!

Come back to the thread and tell us all about any answers that you don't see on the poll! :D

While I do know this is an actual type of donut...

I have to laugh out loud at the fact that it also sounds like a description of a person (or type of skivvies.) :ROFL:

Where is the listing for pink donuts with sprinkles? Or even just pink donuts as 1 category and sprinkle topped as another?
What kind of biased poll is this?
A poll for jelly- filled loving donut eaters that's what!

Why bother voting in this poll?
Those jelly fillers are just going to "win" since it's already rigged that way!
The one I want isn't listed so I might as well not even bother voting!

FINE! I'll vote. The closest option to the one I want is "round" so I guess I'll have to settle for it (and hope once chosen that it appoints "pink donut with sprinkles" as it's designated representative!)

If one didn't know this was a poll about DONUTS...

They would think this post was from a REAL voter who was actually making important decisions about issues that ACTUALLY count. :LOL:

I'm trying to keep it at a strictly PG-rating, but I couldn't resist. :ROFL:

And, disturbiningly to some, my own parents aren't here to provide the "guidance" needed for the "Parental Guidance" rating -- in order to try to keep me in line! :D

I was simply trying to say, "If only we had another candidate that we felt could be a viable alternative." ;)

But out of respect for this site, I will try to keep things as respectful as possible.

(I hope it's ok if I jokingly call you Susie-anna once in a while. I started that because of your telling us you were a pacifist in the Pillow Fighting Thread, and I was like, "Oh sure, tell us another one, Pollyanna!" :D)

But of course, in this case, it's Susie-anna instead. :p

I say a prayer before I eat a LOT of foods... And often add in a sub-clause asking that the calories won't stick.

Unfortunately... I don't think that last part is working. :(

I picked round too along with most of the others. Loved donuts for sure. Good stuff.
