The foundation is Christ.

You are either BAPTIZED into christ. Or your baptized INTO water.

I was baptized into Christ by God himself. I have a sure foundation.
Notice Jesus words concerning the foundation. He said man was to lay a foundation UPON a rock. And we know that Jesus is the rock. So what is the foundation that must be laid upon Him? Jesus explained. Those who hear and do what He says are laying a proper foundation upon Him.

"Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:

He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation ON a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great." Luke 6:47-49

It is due to one's trust in Jesus that individuals believe and accept His life giving message first presented by the Apostle Peter on the Day of Pentecost. This truth coincides with Hebrews 5:12-6:2

You don't believe God washed away your sin when he Baptised(washed )you in his holy spirit?

But you believe a preacher was able to wash away your sin by giving you a bath in water years after God washed you?

Sounds very strange.
I believe the word of God. And it reveals over and over that belief and obedience to the water baptism command is when sins are remitted, not at the point of receiving the indwelling of the Holy Ghost. This is by God's design. Who are we to question Him?

Upon submission to God's command, it is He who brings about the reality He declares. He said so. I for one believe Him. The preacher or baptizer is nothing more than a vessel God uses to assist those who wish to obey God.

I've never read where water washes sins away but if you say it does, then Christ would not have needed to die because John the baptist was washing sins away long before Jesus died.

Do you believe Jesus washed the disciples sins away the day his washed their feet or after that when he Baptised them in the holy spirit which came after his death and resurrection?

Paul's explanation in Romans 6 pertains to water baptism. He reveals the reality that comes about upon obedience to God's command.
Sorry Bud, there is no water in romans 6. it literally says I was baptized (placed into, or immersed into) Christ.
1 Cor 12 speaks of spiritual gifts. Spiritual gifts flow from those who have first been indwelt by the Holy Ghost as part of the NT rebirth experience.
It still says I was baptized into the Body. No water is involved. Your not anointed but e spirit until you are first cleansed, there are no spiritual gift for the unsaved.
Gal 5 deals with the error that those who experienced the NT rebirth, as initially revealed by the Apostle Peter, had to comply with the OT mandate of circumcision as well.
It still says you were baptized INTO Christ, not water

Keep in mind that human beings are made up of spirit, soul and body. As such, I believe the requirements associated with the NT rebirth, as set forth by God, deal with each of these aspects. Consider Paul's words in 1 Thess. 5:23. They reveal man can be blamed in any one if not all of these areas:

"And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.:
You better get Baptized by God or non of these will concern you

The water does not wash away sin. It is belief and obedience to God's established command in association with Jesus' sacrifice that brings about the spiritual reality as scripture reveals. Notice Ananias' words to Paul:

" And he said, (Ananias) The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, (Saul who became Paul) that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth.

For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.
And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord." Acts 22:14-16)

Water baptism introduced by John the Baptist was the first command relative to the gospel of Jesus Christ. (Mark 1:1-5, Luke 3:3-7) It was later modified to include the name of Jesus in accordance with His death, burial and resurrection. Jesus prophesied this would be preached in all nations beginning in Jerusalem. (Luke 24:47) And it began in Jerusalem on the Day of Pentecost and will continue until He returns.

Jesus said do a lot of things, Your stuck on one command and claiming it is required to be saved.

You better obey every one of them, and perfectly. Or else your still lost.

The foundation is Christ, I was baptized into christ.

Not ny works, My work is no foundation at all..

So...he kept all the commandments, but it didn't lead to eternal life?
Apparently, he did not love God above all... which is why it is said, you cannot serve both
God and mammon, for if you try to serve two masters, you will end up hating one and
loving the other, or being devoted to one and despising the other. So in actual fact
he had not kept all of the commandments, nor was he willing to give up his riches.

So we're the disciples washed clean of their sin's the day Jesus washed their feet or after Jesus had died for their sins and washed them in the Holy Ghost?

Apparently, they were already clean except for Judas.

John 13: 6 He came to Simon Peter, who asked Him, “Lord, are You going to wash my feet?”

7 Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”

8 “Never shall You wash my feet!” Peter told Him.

Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with Me.”

9 “Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not only my feet, but my hands and my head as well!”

10 Jesus told him, “Whoever has already bathed needs only to wash his feet, and he will be completely clean. And you
are clean, though not all of you.” 11 For He knew who would betray Him. That is why He said, “Not all of you are clean.”

In obedience to water baptism we are buried with Him wherein our sins are destroyed. (be baptized in the name of Jesus FOR the remission of sins) It's not about the physical water it's about believing and being obedient to God's command; that is what brings about the spiritual reality He says it does.

I believe people have a hard time seeing this because they've never heard, or don't accept that water baptism is to be administered in the name of Jesus Christ.

Paul actually says, why continue in sin? Don't you know that your sin was dealt with upon obedience to the command to be baptized? As such, don't serve sin any longer.

"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin." Rom 6:1-6

Please take the time to examine the scripture again. Jesus Himself said the man laid a foundation UPON a rock. And we know that Jesus is the rock.

Also, keep in mind that Jesus expressed the need to lay a proper foundation immediately after telling those in Matthew 7:23 He never knew them.

Note that water baptism is only one of the foundational elements required to be saved. This is revealed in Hebrews. The comment "not laying AGAIN the foundation" speaks to the necessity to lay it at one point:

"Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
And this will we do, if God permit." Heb 6:1-3

According to Peter's message inspired by Jesus, everyone living in the NT must be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of sin. I accept that as written. Just as I accept that believing in Jesus, repentance, and being indwelt with the Holy Ghost is necessary in order to be born again.

If that were the case then Jesus would not have needed to Baptise(wash) them in the holy spirit.Water would have been sufficient .Same water the Pharisees used to wash with.

To be baptized in the name of Jesus is a reference to water baptism.

"Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. " Acts 10:47-48

Why did Peter think what God had cleansed would still be unclean,?Did he not get the message?
