Salvation is the greatest thing God has done for us. It has allowed us to be born again and receive God’s love and acceptance into the family and Kingdom of God. It is a marvelous thing. Kind of like being born. Child birth is a miracle and is fascinating to talk about and was a great experience.

Even so, how long should we focus on the fact that we're born? I don’t think I need to debate if I’m actually born or not. The same way it is with Salvation. Yes, it’s great, but at some point, we need to begin progressing beyond salvation to greater truths and experiences of the Christian walk.
In 1 Cor 3:2 Paul says,
I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able;

There even comes a point of moving past the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and praying in tongues and prophetic utterances. This also is a great experience, but it too is to be used in ministering and gaining spiritual ground, moving farther on in the Christian walk.

Hopefully this is well received and will help steer some of the threads away from only debating salvation and other base discussions.

This happens on a Christian forum, not in real life.
This happens in real life too and i don't feel like sharing the most distasteful encounter i've had with a Protestant co-worker regarding salvation ... but someday depending on the conversation i might share the story.

Or people knocking at your door.
- Hi i'm here to save you.

Hmm, that doesn’t sound good.

Gotcha. Well, do you have any questions. I know right, lol
Suggestions about what? Stopping people talking about Salvation?
That's nonsense and you know it. You can't control free-will.

Well true.

I guess I was a little frustrated with Christians who just keep debating Salvation. Yes, there is a “crossing over” but once you’ve been saved and “crossed over” it’s time to get passed it.

But, everyone has their relationship with God, and each salvation experience is different. That’s why Baptism is important, since it helps solidify salvation when the enemy makes a person doubt it.

Exactly. Everyone has their own experience about it and they like to talk about it.
When you've been a Christian for a long time, frustration or anything along those lines should not bother you. Nothing in life should bother you, including suffering .... which is the last thing in this world that still bothers me after all these years.

I think a real challenge for us in these days is to get good fellowship. I thought coming on here would help, and it has to a point, but I still need to find a church/ group to tie into.

But are you saved? Really? Do you know if you're saved?
“And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.

And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.”
‭‭Numbers‬ ‭21:8-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:14-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die.”
‭‭John‬ ‭12:32-33‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:1-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”
‭‭John‬ ‭10:7-9, 11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If we trust the savior we’ll be saved but “salvation” is from this

“and to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

when he shall come to be glorified in his saints,

and to be admired in all them that believe because our testimony among you was believed in that day.”
‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭1:7-10‬ ‭

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭4:16-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible,

and we ( who are still alive ) shall be changed.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:52‬ ‭KJV‬‬

were being promised salvation from the lake of fire where the ungodly are punished

“but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. ( just before this happens believers will all be saved the dead raised up with the lord and those alive also changes and raised up to save them from the sudden destruction but we have a promised land )

Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:7, 10, 13-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.”
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:2-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Good fellowship for me is talking to God first, which is something i do 24/7 and i thank Him for everything and ask Him to help me with anything i need.
Then comes family, then friends.
So i'm very happy even if i was alone as a monk, despite living in a city, because God is my fountain.

I understand what your trying to say but that is not what Paul was saying " For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans? For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not mere human beings? "

Progressing beyond salvation something we still do not fully understand. Adding baptism of the Holy Spirit speaking in tongues. We do tend to look at all this happening over two thousand years ago yet to God it just happened over two days ago and we have even started to begin to understand any of it.

Now if you had a Church and you were teaching them this and its been a few years even then yes you need to say something. But your not talking to just one group as Paul was. He taught them. Here you have some that believe once saved always then those that believe you can lose your salvation. We have those that believe gifts are gone vs gifts are for today on and on.

Again we tend to see thousands of years have passed so heaven must have all moved on right? Well this is not the real realm. In heaven there is no time and space and just over two days ago the son of GOD was born and you think they stopped worshiping praising Him? Just wait till your in heaven.. and you start to just talk about how Christ came to earth.. oh they will just light up and start singing and worshiping because there is no time there. That is something also we do not understand. It never gets old. Yes to grow on and on yes. No matter how many times we talk about it. Its His word and He will show you something you read a thousand times yet.. how did you miss that? I don't understand how. It happened to not to long ago. HAHA after He showed me something. I thought.. its right there.. i read it so many times. Now I could say it and some here already saw it.. yet I didn't.

I disagree. You’re not getting what I’m saying. But it’s okay

People talk about things they want to talk about..

No one is forced to join in discussions they do not want to talk about..

If there is a topic you want to talk about the best way to have it discussed is to open a new topic and write the opening post to start a discussion about it..

Forums are very simple places..

Why do you not understand salvation?

Salvation is asking Jesus into your life. Praying Jesus, come into my life. Forgive me of my sins. I surrender my life to you.” If you ask Him to come in then He comes in. Revelation 3:20 says “Behold I stand at the door and knock. If any man hears me and opens the door, I will come in and sup with him and he with Me.” Where is the mystery?
