that would be a silly god. Actually no God at all. God only elected who He knew would believe? That's not election. that's a powerless being waiting to see what man will do first before sticking his neck out.

I'd say it's silly. Very silly.

You mean those born into the world who stray from birth, at enmity with God, God haters as scripture teaches, who cannot even appraise spiritual things know they are sinners and care?

Sounds backward to me.

Perhaps because it's not truth?

Without giving chapter and verse?
One's mere opinion remains his own, and perverse.
I don't swallow the propaganda that some do.
If they show chapter and verse they used?
It gets exposed, as to their ineptitude in comprehension of what is being said.
"Goebbels says repeat a lie often enough and people will believe it."

Some desire to position themselves above others into having authority over others.

The lie they promote is their hope of achieving such a goal.

They will lose their authority when enough people see through the lie for what it is...

............... the truth will make you free to walk away from such people with rigidity of thought.

Rigidity comes from not allowing oneself to consider that there may be more to what one has decided something to mean.

God is not a one dimensional thinker.
False teachers are.
When one knows God intimately through sound doctrine, one can sense a false teaching easily.

Interesting point to ponder.
False teachers are socially inept in the presence of angels.

Why wouldn't it harmonize?
Because the elect are born into this world and are among every tribe tongue and nation? That would equal the world, no?
3:9 ....... not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

Why not?
Those would be the ones that gets his vote.
He elects them!

Calvinism desires a irrational 'benevolent tyrannical' God.
One who all must bow to whatever He wants them to be.

If God's sovereignty were as some make it to be?
We would find no passage in the Bible that says ..."they reap what they sow".

How long can you hold your breath?

Don't you know?

That appealing to reason is an insult to God's "sovereignty."

Isaiah 1:18a

“Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the Lord...

And, if that won't work?
Their hyper sovereign God will say?
I'll make you do it anyway.

Stubborn people are naturally drawn to some false doctrine. Why?
It gives meaning and purpose for keeping their stubbornness alive.
Its one thing they naturally do so well.

And? If they continue to try to save their "stubbornness life?" They will lose it.
Lose it, because they deny Christ who wants to live through them by means of truth.

Irrationality testing we all must face in fighting the good fight...

You sure do a lot to help us understand your position. Don't you?

Are you waiting for God to sovereignly zap us into submission to what you have accepted as to being the truth?

And why couldn't that mean the elect? God not wishing any should perish?
The usage of Greek Peter chooses to use for "any" is τινας which means in general Anyone.
The usage of Greek Peter chooses to use for "all" is πάντας which means literally "Everybody."

So the words Peter chooses to use clarifies it means God wants "All Persons" saved not just some.

And for the most part; it's a worthless topic. I'd rather get a legitimate rebuke about something that I did wrong than ever see or hear this topic. It adds virtually nothing to anyone's walk with God, and edifies no one.
Only if you are choosing to be of the non-elect.

Conformed? Conformed to what?
To the image of His Son.

”For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.”

It’s the promise of sanctification.

That image we will be 'conformed to" will be what we all manifest with our Resurrection Body!
We will be bone of his bones, and glorious flesh of his glorious flesh!

That is what we were chosen for,

Not to save us. But, rather. Chosen for what He predetermined for us to become as a result of having salvation.
For example. Both Moses and David will have different resurrection bodies than ours. Moses and David were not
chosen by God to be the Bride for His Son.

Its interesting once one is made able to put it together.
If not?
Its confusing, leaving the believer defensive while denying he is being that way.

Hi, Genez. Provide some scripture for us, please. Moses and David were not chosen for salvation? I ’m not buying that because Romans 8:28-30 doesn’t say that.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

And here in 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14, what does it say?
But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
——————
Different resurrection bodies? I definitely need some scripture for your claim here. Are you referring to the first resurrection to immortality when Jesus returns at the second advent?
Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

I believe everyone has a choice. Why not, all are held accountable. Are they not
Yes I totally agree with what your saying there . imagine we had no choice but then we get judged by our actions

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

a imagine they never had any choice and were never accountable but he’s just judging them based on what he made them do and gave them no choice in

what a God that causes peoples actions then judges then as if it’s thier fault holding them accountable

Man was made free then became slaves to sin the gospel sets us free again to choose life .

yes everyone will be held to account based upon the judges judgements in the gospel

God so loved the world of believer

Jesus did not die to redeem the sins of all mankind, if so, all mankind would have eternal life, and even you know that the scriptures do not teach that. He only died for those that God gave him (John 6:37-39).
Bolded added...;)

1 John 2
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world of the elect.
3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.
8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.
9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.
10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.
12 I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.
13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.
14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.
15 Love not the world of the elect, neither the things that are in the world of the elect. If any man love the world of the elect, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world of the elect, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world of the elect.
17 And the world of the elect passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

The passage continues:

"Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified."

It is about sanctification.

We are already His flesh and His bones.

"For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones."

This is an echo of Adam's declaration over woman (Eve):

“This is now bone of my bones
And flesh of my flesh"

And later, the declaration from the tribes to David:

"Then all the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron and spoke, saying, “Indeed we are your bone and your flesh."

This is Kingdom language. It speaks of a bond that cannot be broken.

One only "waiting for heaven" does not understand this. And they have no frame of reference for representation nor appreciation for the fullness of the ministry of reconciliation, whereby God has chosen all in Christ to represent Him and His character in the earth now and forever, even into the next age.
