Mat 13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

That's the church.
Bear in mind that just a little bit earlier (in Matt8) Jesus uses the SAME phrase "the children of the kingdom" in the following way:

[COMPARE these two verses where this phrase is used]

Mat 8:12
But G1161 the children G5207 of the kingdom G932 shall be cast out G1544 into G1519 outer G1857 darkness: G4655 there G1563 shall be G2071 weeping G2805 and G2532 gnashing G1030 of teeth. G3599 [COMPARE ALSO all passages referring to "there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth"... and "cast out into outer darkness"]

Mat 13:38
G1161 The field G68 is G2076 the world; G2889 G1161 the good G2570 seed G4690 are G3778 G1526 the children G5207 of the kingdom; G932 but G1161 the tares G2215 are G1526 the children G5207 of the wicked G4190 one;

Now, consider WHY this phrase is used in both of these passages (but with "differing" outcomes for those persons).

____________

[for the readers] Consider also:

--the disciples' question of Jesus in Matthew 24:3 [with His response covering TWO CHPTS] was BASED ON what He had ALREADY spoken to them about in Matthew 13:24,30,39,40,49-50 (re: "the end [singular] of the age [singular]"... when the ANGELS will "REAP");

It pertains to "the kingdom OF THE heavenS" [not UP IN Heaven!], i.e. the EARTHLY Millennial Kingdom age, aka "the age [singular] to come Matt12:32; and WHO it is who will ENTER it (only the SAVED / RIGHTEOUS / WISE / SHEEP / BELIEVERS will ENTER the MK age... and they will do so in their "mortal" bodies, never having LIFTED OFF the earth--They will ENTER the MK age upon His "RETURN" to the earth Rev19... what Lk12:36-37,38,40 describes as "when he will RETURN FROM the wedding..." i.e. as an ALREADY-WED "Bridegroom"... THEN "the meal [G347]"!)

[see also, re: "the Church which is His body" Eph1:20-23 WHEN (as to its existence)]

what Lk12:36-37,38,40 describes as "when he will RETURN FROM the wedding..." i.e. as an ALREADY-WED "Bridegroom"... THEN "the meal [G347]"!)
"the meal [G347]"... a Greek word used also in Matt8:11 and its parallel, speaking of the promised and prophesied EARTHLY Millennial Kingdom age (or at least its inauguration).

[note: Matt8:12 being one of the verses I spelled out for comparison, in the previous post, at top]

Not the same since one specifies the good seed while the other is clearly the bad seed because they get punished.

Does anyone know why at the rapture the saved are removed and the unsaved are left behind but in the parable of the tares it is the unsaved which are removed first with the saved left behind.
[Even though I gave my answer in my Post #17 - https://christianchat.com/threads/gather-the-wheat-into-my-barn.214980/post-5296413 ...]

... I cannot recall your stance on this particular issue:

--[if you don't mind refreshing my memory on your viewpoint on this] Do you believe that more people will [/will be able to] come to faith AFTER "our Rapture"? (or that no one can / will... iow, no further people will be saved following "our Rapture"?)

Because the pre tribulation rapture is not biblical.

The unsaved are taken away and the saved are left behind.

Mathew 24
37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Them who were taken away by the flood were not saved.

The parable tells you who are the tares (fake wheat). It is not what they did right. They were sown by the enemy - Satan -- as we see in the letters to the seven churches. But God says let them both grow together until the harvest. 25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way....30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

So in all of Christendom, you have genuine believers and false professors, but the false professors almost resemble genuine Christians. The harvest is two-fold and does not take place at the same time. A parable is a parable and should be interpreted in the light of other Scriptures. "First the tares" suggests that judgement comes before the Rapture, but it comes after. So at the Rapture the genuine Christians are "harvested" and taken to Heaven. Later on there is another harvest described in Revelation 14. This is when the tares are dealt with. A lot of people think Revelation 14 is about the Rapture when it is clearly about the wrath of God.
Alright

Mat 13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

That's the church.
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil:

whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭3:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭3:8‬ ‭

Hey.. for me it’s clear He was not talking about the Church for He said the field is the world. In what John He said "Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest".
He explains the parable a little later on n the same chapter lol

this is telling you what’s going to happen

“The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; and shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:41-42‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is showing more detail

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: and before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25:31-32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

this is showing more detail of the process of how they are seperated and thier fate

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: ( the furnace of fire in the prior parable )

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment:

but the righteous into life eternal.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25:34, 41,

the first isnt trying to show the order of things but as we continue into the epistles take what Jesus is saying there

“and to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; when he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe in that day.”
‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭1:7-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

to them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: ( children of then kingdom )

but unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil,( workers of iniquity ) of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭2:6-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

each section is adding to the understanding of the judgement from Jesus parables all the way to the end it’s describing this day of judgement

“And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; ( all nations gathered before him ) and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life:

and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭20:11-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

this is a small amount but the idea is they aren’t all teaching about a different judgement but the same judgement for all mankind like they are saying (first jew then gentile God treats everyone the same he’s no respect or of persons doesn’t play favorites )

I believe you are assuming the tares are removed but they are assembled. If both were removed the story is over.

“But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:26-30‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:40‬ ‭

awe have a concept that the wheat is going to be “ raptured “ before the end but it’s all going to happen when Jesus returns the same day on harvest day the end of the world

The harvesters want to do it when they see the tares growing among the wheat ( evil people among the good ) but the Lord tells them no wait until the end when everything is ripe then we will seperate the harvest bring the good onto the kingdom and toss the bad into the furnace to be destroyed.

There is no rapture there’s just the return of Jesus when he will harvest his people and destroy all wickedness

Oh but there is a rapture and resurrection at the last call of the 7th Trump. Unless you understand how the parable of the wheat and tares correspond to the reaping of the earth's harvest in Rev 14: 14-16 you will endlessly search.

This Blessed Day which is also the Day of the Lord is the beginning of the 7th day, the 1000 year reign of Christ. The Bowl or Vial judgments happens inside the Day of the Lord. This is why it is so hard to understand.

The Sheep/Goat Judgement is to determine who enters the Day of the Lord in the flesh. There is no rapture/resurrection at this event at end of the Tribulation.

From the Feast of Trumpets in year 2025 to Pentecost in year 2029 is exactly 1335 days as foretold by Daniel.

There are some who are removed before the seventh Trump.
Such as the two witnesses .Those two guys who torment and kill people are removed from the kingdom just before it becomes Christs.

At the end of the world this is goi g to happen to the wheat

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭4:16-17‬ ‭

the same day that happens , this happens to the tares

“and to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,( gathers the church living and dead ) in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; when he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe in that day.”
‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭1:7-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

thats harvest day the wheat caught up with the lord and the tares burned up on the fire

the church that’s alive still will be in earth th at day but this will happen to those alive still after the dead are raised up then

“in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:52‬ ‭KJV

there’s no pre trib rapture when Jesus returns at the end of the world , that’s harvest day for the wheat and tares that’s the whole point of the parable the wheat isn’t gathered before harvest , the wheat and tares are left to grow together until the harvesters ( angels ) are sent to gather them into thier groups

harvest day , judgement day the day Jesus returns from heaven and this world ends

No righteous souls left after the reaping of the earth in Rev 14 ( jews and gentiles ). Sheep and Goats are all unrighteous. Sheep are saved only by works by helping those fleeing the antichrist. And the sheep enter the kingdom with flesh and blood. Sheep and Goats are also all gentiles

“in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:52‬ ‭KJV

Like I pointed out before,The two witnesses are gathered first , before the last trump sounds.

Two witnesses gathered.

Revelation 11
12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.

Last trump sounds.

15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

Why were those two bad boys not gathered with the elect? They are gathered first before the last trump.

Mathew 24:31

And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

Two people standing in a field. One is taken and the other left.

Mathew 24
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Ezekiel 9

2 And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.
3 And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side;
4 And the Lord said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.
5 And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:
6 Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women
: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.

Guess who is left .
