Allow me to rephrase Gods' commandment as if the directive given were, "Do not take of and swallow the lie, for surely as soon as you do, it will infect you with a disease that will progress to your death."

Lies kill. And lies are a favorite tool that murderers employ. Even the most 'harmless' lie 'kills' somebody. For example, I think it would be safe to assume that those that lied to the gestapo, did not care much for the gestapo.

Jesus said the devil has been a liar from the beginning.

But as you've duly noted the serpent told the truth.

The answer is it the serpent in the garden was not satan in the garden, the serpent was an animal, it this simple

Well for me before man there was no time and we know soon (we pray and hope) it will like that again no time. Genesis is sometimes call the book of beginnings. From what I read what ever God creates is perfect. It is written "until sin was found in you" "You were without blame in your ways from the day you were made until sin was found in you” .

Death to us is this body does not live any more yet God said if you eat of this tree "but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for on the day that you eat from it you will certainly die.” Then its written "Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all mankind, because all sinned".

I think we duh can blame Satan when Cain killed his brother yet God didn't blame Satan. My 100cents...well if I say 2cents.. cheap hehe pfft.

Apostle John remembered what God's revealed in Proverbs 3:5
We all know that there are no other books which God's Words are written but The Holy Bible only
Therefore: The book referring by Apostle John is The Holy Bible in our time.
Then John wrote it with the same meaning in Proverbs 3:5
What John said is not in literal meaning.
REVELATION 5:1-5

No Man or Nobody in this world could explain the true meaning of the Word of God but there is who can Reveal to Us and that is Jesus Christ by Divine Revelation.

I am not a Devil's Advocate.
I believe in God that said although he is using man's words but different in meaning. Shall I say Man's Words but Heavenly Meaning.
ISAIAH 55:8-9
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

If we use our thoughts in reading the Words of God, then Devil is not a liar and Murderer. What come up is God is the Liar and the Murderer.

But if we humble ourselves (means not to use our own understanding in reading the words of God) God will send us A Divine Revelation and explain to us that the Devil is a Liar and a Murderer.

This is why God gave us the warning:
PROVERBS 3:5
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;

Look at the Jews in the New Testament.
They use their thoughts in listening Jesus words instead of humbling themselves.
They thought that Jesus is referring to Literal Physical Temple.
JOHN 2:19-21
19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
21 But he spake of the temple of his body.

Because the Jews leaned in their own understanding they believe Jesus is a Liar.
MATTHEW 27:40
40 And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.
