I'm trying to put you in the position of a first century Jew and see how they would have understood what is written. The key, to me, to understanding the book of Revelation is to understand how God uses language in the OT. If you understand this, then you can understand what God is saying in the NT.
First century Jewish christians knew and understood it was not the time of the end in 70 ad as you suggest.
It was never ment for antichrist Jews to understand anything .

Mathew 13
10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

Truth be known...
Everyone has been saying that it's the "end time" for the past 2,000 years.

So what are we to know with all certainty?

None of these people who claim to know really do. They may even believe themselves but they are still false prophets.

There's an end coming...and we really don't know when it is. So....best bet is to just be ready. Don't practice Gnosticism which is a form of simply licensing sin. Don't endorse the practice either.

Stay true to God....it's as simple as that. Don't play games with your faith. And no matter what you can be a pan-millenialist....where it will all pan out well for you.
You can always tell when someone is sleeping. They have no idea what going on .
Sleep on.
Shhhh, sorry to have disturbed your slumber.

Israel, the Nation and war is the biggest clue. 2 prophetic Biblical wars indicate when the world turns on Israel. If Israel does what it has announced with this Hamas War it could result into allies of Israel coming against it. We could be years away from the End or weeks and months pending on the reactions to Israel's end goal and their ambitions towards the other War they're involved in.

We truly are closer than ever before and may even be literally closer than we know. There's basically only the Revelation Prophecies left (outside some small ones). And they seem to be more and more of a probability to happen in some of our life time's. I think claiming the end is near has more truth to it than 1800 years ago, even 100 years ago.
There's one kingdom that doesn't turn against the beast from the sea.The nation that provides the false prophet to the beast to practice the authority of the beast on its behalf.

Now you know the evangelicals of the United states will not allow the United states to abandon the beast. They love the little feller and will give him a host.

Daniel.8:12
And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.

Everyone has been saying that it's the "end time" for the past 2,000 years.

God's Word talks about people who say this!

2 Peter 3:3-7
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

If you ca get them fresh, they are tasty

Cameron many prophecies have a dual meaning.
I agree. But all prophesy is ultimately referring to and fulfilled in Christ. And all prophesy must first be considered to have meaning to its original audience.
A good example is the promised deliverance of Israel recorded in Isaiah out of Babylon. It happened. But it was prefiguring the greater deliverance from sin in Christ. The final fulfillment was with Christ.
If the rapture is future and there was no first century rapture, all that is written to the first century saints wasn't applicable to the very people it was written to.

Netanyahu Plans Invasion of Rafah Despite ‘Red Line’ Set by Biden

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced plans for the country’s forces to invade Rafah in southern Gaza, despite U.S. President Joe Biden indicating such an action would cross “a red line.” During a Saturday MSNBC interview, Biden labeled an Israeli invasion of Rafah—currently a refuge for over a million Palestinians—as a “red line.”

HAHAHA well done Israel!
Set it up so this is the beginning of the end <3

But if you live a life of submission to God....then there's nothing to worry about.

But if you live a life of submission to God....then there's nothing to worry about.

If I'm living a life of submission to God, I would not be saying the Lord delays His coming and instead would be living as though He's going to return just at any moment.

I heard of one guy that asked "How do you know it's the last days?"
And the other guy tells him, "these are your last days one way or the other"

In other words, life is short and we should be living as though we are going to stand before the Lord any minutes now.

Oh....
Do not mischarachterize what I said.

I don't doubt God in the slightest bit.
Not even a micron's worth of doubt whatsoever.

But everyone else's discernment of the eschatology scriptures? Not even going to trust them if they say that the sky is blue outside when they begin talking about end times being in two years...I'd have to look for myself. And knowing their accuracy rates....it's probably raining or so so much smog that there is no chance of seeing the sky.

That's what I'm saying....I believe God. I do NOT believe you.

That's cool because I do NOT believe you either.

Life is short so we should all be living as though we are going to stand before the Lord any minute now.

You shouldn't....

I don't really teach theology. I teach hermeneutics.

How to actually interpret the scriptures using the sciences and arts instead of the flat reading that is so prolific on the board.
How much science and how much art is up to the reader.

Don't forget the gentiles who occupy Jerusalem for 1260 days. That is a key race of evidence your overlooking.

Revelation 11
2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

42 months=1260 days.

The months is for the others while the time is given in days for God's people.
