Both Adam and Eve had knowledge that God said they were not to eat from the forbidden tree. Regardless if God told her directly or not, she knew- scripture clearly tells us that. If it was something as important as being kicked out of the garden of Eden, losing their spiritual clothes, being separated from the presence of God, I would imagine God told both directly. Regardless, she knew, the result was the same- separated from God and death.
Gen 3: 2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ”
