Rose, not sure if you read my post but what I’m trying to say if that it’s impossible to have all the knowledge and wisdom about God in a 5 minute segment.
The segment is meant to initiate a spark for some, who will then take a journey which should lead them to The Bible.

These short moments are meant to grab people’s attention for maximum impact, like Paul in Greece.
He didn’t go there with a chainsaw and a flamethrower to destroy all their gods. No, he studied the Greeks and customized the message for maximum impact and boy what an impact he had!

Paul challenged their philosophy but he did not affirm their sin.

I know you’re saying this because you saw some imagery from planned parenthood or the clown hair people but the essence of that message is Change. Change into a new path To God.
This is what an unbeliever needs at first.

Where was there any message of change in those images?
"He gets us" tells me, you are good to go no matter who you are what you have done.

Well the “He gets us” part, is to show a divided and polarized world that Jesus can be a common unifier for most of the world.
This of course will have its side effects where people might be further divided into denominations.

But more denominations is better than more unbelievers.

Jesus the "ascended master" is unifies, he is unoffensive to the masses, that is why he is promoted, the real Christ Jesus not so much.

Indeed, i agree that these types of commercials or shows like The Chosen will further divide some existing Christians but in the meantime they have reached a larger audience to begin a slow transformation of change in their hearts.

I haven't seen them go past this round of commercials though. They did the same idea last year. I'm talking to people on secular sites and they are not understanding the message. They need to share the rest of the message.

The commercial was clearly not directed or intended for any unbelievers. It's directed at Christians on how to act as we are the ones who look at Jesus as the perfect example... I wouldn't be surprised if it was funded by atheists.

I agree that Jesus didn't teach to hate. Declaring sinful acts as "sins" isn't hate. Disagreeing isn't hate. Using our power to vote to vote in a manner that closest/most reflects our spiritual convictions isn't hate. While we should all be on board to "not hate", I don't necessarily agree with every example of what they think "hate" is. I personally think they should have used that time slot to send that message across the entire spectrum of people and not exclusively Christians... but it's not my money or commercial.

What does hate look like to them?

As i mentioned earlier, some unbelievers, as the original article from FoxNews says, will never change. They will always be angry at those who believe.
But the changes i've seen personally in regards to say The Chosen, have been real to a few of my friends at work who are unbelievers.
There is also the testimonies of young adults on the camera about The Chosen which say that people are affected in a positive way by the show.

This is very true, because any of these types of commercials or shows like The Chosen do indeed affect Christians into discussing details which are not in the Bible and are always finding flaws into a show which is a show, not the Bible itself.

However, if you look at the original article from the Fox News you will see that the ad was pushed by a billionaire Evangelical.
So, he's not an atheist.

Officially this was a result of deplorable Trump supporters and the 2nd ammendment. The reason we aren't seeing any facts to support that is because it takes time to make the facts fit the official narrative. So everyone take a breath, chill out until they can get the Facebook pages set up, the social media posts and get all the witnesses to line up.

There is an attitude among some Christians (?) that we have to make the gospel palatable and entertaining. Some churches in the UK are having parties and sporting events in church buildings. Many churches have forsaken preaching to focus on "worship". Twaddle, to use an old English expression. Jesus told us to preach the gospel. Paul said that he preached only Christ crucified.

I got saved because someone preached the fundamental gospel to me. There was no music, no emotion, just God's Word. The gospel is God's power to save. Telling people that they should be nice to each other is not the gospel, no matter how well it is presented. I got that "gospel" from the Beatles and Pink Floyd. "All you need is love". That won't cut it in the Kingdom of God.

I understand this and i am not a supporter of Rock and Roll churches either but i think that you're missing the journey part still.
This is about people who may not be believers at all, it's about softening of hearts before we get to the denominational part of Rock and Roll in some churches.
