It might sound silly, but really think about it.
You know all your strengths, weaknesses and you know what really goes on in your own mind. It's you but another person, if that makes sense...
Knowing all that would you date yourself?
Would you enjoy spending time with yourself? (if it was another being of course)
Would you trust this other you?
Let's have a discussion about this topic, what is everyone's thoughts?
Would I date a female version of myself? Absolutely! I think I would get along with a soulmate famously. Marriage experts universally found:
- Every way that you are alike your spouse is a credit in your marriage bank...
- And every difference is a debt.
And then they go on to demolish the notion that opposites attract beyond anything but the male/female body.
You can be a better couple when one is skilled at something that the other is not. Makes you more complete. That's a difference between 'nothing' and 'something'... that's very different than the difference between 'something' and 'something different', especially if they are opposing things.
I think most people like outgoing people if they make them more outgoing as well, and the same for faithful, joyful, funny, honest, adventurous, strong, etc; it's a way to be more alike, not different.
To answer the OP questions: "Would you trust this other you?" Yes, I would trust the other "me". Is there anything more important than that?
