The Israelis don't make offerings to God.They are making sacrifices to the king they have chosen.
They give their sons and daughters to Moloch(the king)
When the king of the north gives the Israeli government his armed forces, then that sacrifice will be abolished.
3.5 years.Not 3.5 thousand years.
A time,times,and a half
Daniel 12:6
One of them said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long will it be before these astonishing things are fulfilled?”
The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever, saying, “It will be for a time, times and half a time. When the power of the holy people has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.”
A time,times and a half
Daniel 7
25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
a time,times and a half.Not 2500 years.Not 3000 years.
Daniel is speaking directly and specifically to the daily sacrifices of the Temple,
not their offerings to Moloch; you will never convince me otherwise. He wrote chapters 11-12 in 559 B.C., the first year of Darius the Medi when the Temple stood, and the daily sacrifice was still offered.
Shilohsfoal, I agree that
time and times and dividing of times point to 1260 days, or 3 1/2 years. It's also spoken of in the Book of Revelation.
My question is, from verse 10 in Daniel 12, "Many shall be purified, and made white, and (refined)," is this supposed to happen during the 3 1/2 years of Great tribulation when there will be a war so great, the Lord himself will have to stop it? And it appears billions, not millions, will die?
The numbers 1290 and 1335 do not add up to 3 1/2 years.
My objection is that everything I've read and studied is speculative concerning the two numbers, 1290 and 1335. They do not fit into a 1260-day teaching. They are two distinct and very specific periods, one separate from the other. They add up to 2625. The daily sacrifice of the Temple was taken away in 598 B.C. by Nebuchadnezzar, a year after Daniel wrote his prophecy, which was in the first year of Darius the Mede. Also, remember that when a sentence ends in a period, verse 10-11, it's a whole new thought.
598 minus 1290 = 692 A.D., the year the Dome was finished. 691 A.D. minus 1335 years brings us to 2027. When I look around at what's happening in the Middle East between the Arab nations and Israel, a war is coming very soon, a war that will make Hitler's war on the world look like a backyard fight between neighbors.
I understand where you're coming from and what you're saying, and I respect that, but for now, I have to stick with my numbers. I appreciate your comments.
Can anyone else tell me when they believe the daily sacrifice was taken away according to your timeline?
