There are apparent differences between Paul’s Gospel and the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and most of John. In this period, Paul was persecuting Christians.

After his conversion, he focused on the finished work of the cross and a gospel of grace. He never spoke of having to keep the law or any form of legalism, nor did he teach the gospel of the kingdom.

Jesus sent the 12 apostles to the Jews, and they spoke repeatedly of the kingdom of God and Christ, as did the Lord. Paul taught primarily to the Gentiles and, to a lesser extent, the Jews. He spoke of the resurrection of the saints and the rapture of the faithful.

Paul’s letters were progressive works of learning. His earlier letters were milk, being spoon-fed to baby Christians. But, as the years passed, he revealed mysteries to the Gentile church, secrets hidden in eternity past but now revealed by the Holy Spirit, and only now did the church begin to mature, growing in knowledge and understanding.

After Paul passed away, John received more secrets and mysteries that God revealed to him in the book of Revelation. The four gospels spoke repeatedly of the kingdom of God, that Jesus was the long-awaited Messiah the Jews had been waiting for, and that He, as their King, was ready to bring in the kingdom. But the Jews rejected him and then killed him. Not all Jews were set aside, but the Lord did commission Paul to bring the gospel of salvation to the Gentiles.

Romans 11:1-2, “I (Paul) say then, Hath God cast away his (the Jews) people? God forbid. --- God hath not cast away his people which He foreknew.”

There has always been a remnant of faithful New Testament Jews, beginning with the twelve. The Christian church, consisting of believing Jews and Gentiles, is built upon this foundation.

Paul writes, Ephesians 2:21-22, “Now, therefore, you (Gentiles) are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints (Jews,) --- And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. In whom all the building fitly framed together (being joined together) groweth unto a holy temple (one body) in the Lord.”

1 Corinthians 3:10, Paul was called a wise master builder, “I (Paul) have laid the foundation, and another (others that follow) builds thereon.”

Another issue never found in the four gospels is the mention of “The body of Christ.” But in Paul’s later letters, he often refers to the body of Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:12-13-27, “For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.”

Verse 27, “Now you are the body of Christ, and members in particular.”

Ephesians 1:20-23-24, Jesus, raised by the Father, seated at His right hand, above all principality, power, might, dominion, and above every name, in this world, and the world to come. All things are now under His feet, and head of the church. The church (Jew and Gentile) is his body, the fullness of Jesus that fills all in all.

When that last Christian is saved, Jesus Christ Himself will be complete, one head, one body.

After the Lord comes from the wilderness, he goes to Nazareth, enters the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stands up to read. He would read from the book of Isaiah.

Isaiah 61:1-2, “The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised (oppressed). To preach the acceptable year of the LORD.”

The devil reigned everywhere triumphant, and no ray of hope appeared to the eye of reason, of any release.

Let’s seek out the essence of the word “gospel” and provide a concise definition, also derived from Paul’s understanding of the term. The word literally means “good message” or “glad tidings” in its New Testament Greek original. By transliteration into English, it becomes “evangelist” or “bearer of good tidings.”

Thayer’s Greek-English Lexicon summarizes the Christian Gospel (more or less derived from Paul) as follows: “It comprises the preaching of Jesus Christ as having suffered death on the cross to procure eternal salvation for men in the kingdom of God, but as restored to life and exalted to the right hand of God in heaven, thence to return in majesty to consummate the kingdom of God; so that it may be briefly defined as the glad tidings of salvation through Christ; the proclamation of the grace of God manifested and pledged in Christ; serving as common ground for the gospel, and it’s this common ground that must be examined and defined.

Paul concisely stated the events of his gospel in I Corinthians 15, where we find his gospel summarized under five different headings that he presented “as of first importance.”

1) Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures.

2) He was buried and raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures.

3) He sits at his Father’s right hand and will reign until his enemies become his footstool.

4) Paul speaks of the resurrection when the Lord will return to the earth and raise the souls who sleep and are raised to life with those who are alive in Christ, incorruptible, and immortal.

5) Then comes the end. Jesus will deliver the kingdom of God to the Father after destroying every rule, authority, and power.

Our rank, placement and functions differ in the Kingdom. Israel has its specific place and function. The Church has its specific place and function.

This is where all the confusion comes in......The differences in function and placement in the Kingdom.
Agree, no Confusion with that = Israel inherits earth, The Body rules in Heaven.
However:
Salvation is the same for all time.....Faith alone in Christ alone. John 3:16, Acts 16:31 past, present and future.

John 3:16~~“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.

Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

If a message of good news was Paul's message of good news that doesn't mean it was no one else's.

Not so. Jesus taught in His Earthly ministry that the work of the Father is to believe on the One whom the Father had sent (i.e. Jesus). The disciples may not have realised this in full until after the crucifixion or when they received the Holy Spirit, but this was Jesus' message. Outside of Jesus, God's requirement is perfect obedience to the law, but only God Himself can attain this - hence God's merciful provision of imputed righteousness through the death of Jesus His perfect Son.

Read Matthew 5, the Lord changes what the law stated and updated to new things.

Yes, the disciples had no understanding of the cross. They were under the thought that the Messiah would come and deliver them from their enemies, restore the kingdom of Israel, so the Jews could serve God without fear. The is good news for the Jews. This is the message Jesus and his disciples were preaching. It is called the gospel of the kingdom, the preaching of the kingdom of heaven. That message is different than Paul's message to the Gentile world.

I guess Jesus expounded on the law, but the gospel remained unchanged.

That's correct, but it's broken down into at least five parts.

1) Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures.

2) He was buried and raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures.

The "good news" to Abraham? Is this the "Gospel Of Grace" to him?:

How, exactly is that the same 'one' Gospel that Christ Gave Paul
In The Revelation Of The [ Secret "Hid In God" ] Mystery"?:

"(v 1) The Gospel [ Good News ]...By Which also ye Are Saved...​
...For I delivered unto you first of all that Which I also received,​
how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; And​
that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according​
to the Scriptures:" (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)​
What did I miss [ "at best, problematic"? ] by a Prayerful and
Careful "comparison of [ Two Different ] spiritual things" (1Co 2:13) ???
