More work never means more authority, that's ridiculous. Paul did rebuke Peter, and Peter was humble, not like the current pope, who thinks he is infallible. I never claimed Peter was infallible either, so no Paul did not overstep.
In Mathew 28 all disciples had authority to go out and make other disciples, but Peter was still chief, as evident in the verse I provided. Peter was generally first to speak and to punish and excommunicate people, so yes, he spoke with authority.
I don't see what being difficult to understand has anything to do with having authority.
Mathew 16:19 in light of Isiah 22 is what proves the line of succession - a king (Jesus) gave keys to the kingdom (heaven) to his chief stewart (Peter) that has the power to open and shut (bind and loose) and is passed down to his posterity (bishops).
That's a strawman, I don't support elevating Mary. I already provided dozens of verses that prove Peter was chief among the apostles. Jesus made Peter the chief and told him and only him to feed his sheep.
No, you use your faulty understanding of the Bible to justify your rebellion against God. All authority is sanctioned by God and rebelling against it is rebelling against God. What the government does also goes against what God's word says, but Romans 13:1 still commands us to obey their authority (whenever it doesn't go against God).

You, however, missed my point entirely - it doesn't matter how corrupt they are, just like it doesn't matter how corrupt the government of your country is, you still have to obey ALL laws that don't go against the word of God. When you rebel against authority (without a cause) you rebel against God.

Moot point. Pharisees also had heretical teaching, and yet Jesus told everyone to obey them within the context of God's word (Mathew 23:3). You have to do anything the authority tells you, unless it contradicts the word of God. How many times do I have to repeat it before you understand? Yes, you do have to reject anything ungodly that authority commands you to do, but other than that, you have to obey ALL authority.

You're just presupposing stuff baselessly. Have you even been to a Catholic church? Did they make you sign a waver commanding you to worship Mary? It is not your place to make these decisions. RCC has authority according to the Bible, and if more people actually joined and, they would eventually move away from their heresies, just like they keep moving towards liberalism - it's because many of their members become liberal. If more conservative Bible believers joined, they would have no choice but to adjust themselves and move away from their heresies. They are very greedy and money-hungry, so they will abandon anything that causes their members to protest with their wallets. I'm willing to bet they would abandon Jesus himself if enough people stopped tithing, so off coarse they would've had no problem abandoning their heresies.
