You should not be linking the eternal security of the believer to any false teaching or teacher. Nothing in the Bible encourage a person to sin after being saved.
And yet all the OSAS teachers keep claiming that if one lives in sin they shall still be saved.
This is exactly WHY Andy Stanley believes one can be gay and still be a Christian.... cause he is a purveyor of the false doctrines of eternal security.
Only those abiding IN Christ are secure... once one does sin, they are no longer in right standing with the Lord unless they repent... which is why the Lord put instructions in His Word about turning away from sin and confessing it in order to receive mercy after having sinning.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
None of this disproves the eternal security of the believer.
So you believe "christians" can be gay and still be in right standing with the Lord after they have been born again?
You do know the Lord published a list of things people can do that will cause them to not inherit the Kingdom of God and the Lord never said "... unless one is a believer then they will still be righteous even throw they are living in sin "
OSAS teachers such as Andy and Charlie Stanley are a stumbling block to many.... greasy grace changers encourages people to just go ahead and keep living in sin and then listen to the false teachers who continually tell them it's not possible for on to lose their salvation!

You post seems to be saying it's OK for one to be a "gay christian" as long as they aren't allowed to serve in ministry. God's Word teaches one cannot be gay and be in right standing with the Lord, contrary to popular OSAS false doctrine that is tickling the ears of so many.
I do not believe a lot of people that believe OSAS will follow them unless they are new to Christianity.
Why would it matter? OSAS teaches it's not possible for one to lose their salvation no matter how disgusting their sinful lifestyle may be. This is why Andy Stanley supports the funny people is because he is a purveyor of the false doctrines of OSAS. It's what he does.
There is a growing trend of adults with "child attractions" (child molesters) and soon the OSAS peoples will be coming out in support of "christian child molesters" claiming they too are still in right standing with the Lord and will go to Heaven as they continue in their sin.
Yet some can say "you/they believe that so they can sin all the want". Its been said something like that here and through out this site when talking about OSAS. Yet its a lie.
That's the thing... the OSAS peoples don't come right out and say that... but they teach exactly that!
They claim that it's not possible to loser one's salvation. Period!
People here this that are maybe struggling with some sin ion their lives, and decide... "why bother to fight it? The preachers are saying I can never ever lose my salvation" and so they keep living in sin thinking they are still in right standing with the Lord when they are not.
The OSAS message is not only not biblical, it's a stumbling block to young believers and is responsible for so many people we see falling away from the faith. Back in my partying days and a young man, I lived in an area that was saturated with baptist churches and they all taught OSAS... I partied with people doing all kinds of sin and they would tell you they were born again and on their way to Heaven cause their baptist preacher told them they were!
The devil told Adam and Eve that surely they would not die if they sinned against God after God said they would... in modern times the devil's message is alive and well even after the Lord tell us today we will die spiritually and be separated from Him if we sin:

but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
Jesus did not go to the Cross to make the lie the devil told Adam and Eve to become true!

Yeah, Charles Stanley claimed that ALL future sin was already forgiven so if one murders someone, it's already forgiven (he said this about all kinds of sins that God's Word says will cause people to not inherit His Kingdom.)
So I know have heard Andy Stanly said gay is a sin "it was a sin then and is now"
Then he engages in typical OSAS double speak by saying not matter what, those people will still to to Heaven... changing the grace of our Lord in to lawlessness.

When one turns away from the Lord and sins, they must forsake their sin and confess their sin to the Lord in order to be in right standing with the Lord once again according to His Word.
