I am confused. I have no idea what you are saying.
That Jesus is God in the flesh.
I am confused. I have no idea what you are saying.
The name Jesus means salvation. When you say God was manifest in the flesh, you may be following one translation. I am not sure what your translation is. I read the NASB.What about it? "God was manifest in the flesh" and "the Word [GOD] became flesh and dwelt among us". Which means that God the Son became a sinless and perfect Man. Even the name "Jesus" tells us that He is God.
I believe that it is a difference.you previously explained that you don't know anything about Greek.
and it was previously explained also to you that other languages do not use the same gramatical structure as English.
for example in English you would ask 'do you have turnips?' but in German you would phrase this as 'have you turnips?'
you wouldn't use any word for 'do' at all and the order of words is different.
so looking at the order of words in Greek isn't telling you anything at all when you don't know what it means that they are in that order.
But in any case "God was the Word" and "the Word was God" are both telling us the same thing - that Christ, the Word, is God.
Jesus is the Son of God.That Jesus is God in the flesh.
How long have you been seriously studying the Scriptures? What resources have you used and is there an individual or group that has helped you in gaining a better understanding?Jesus is the Son of God.
Also, I urge you to seriously consider the words of John 17:5.
I have been studying since I was saved about 38 years ago. I use BlueLetterBible. I have read the Chumash. No individual or group has helped me to gain a better understanding. I was influenced to believe that the Holy Spirit is God though. How long have you been seriously studying the Scriptures? Thank you. Independent study has its pitfalls. It has lead to the development of several cults.I have been studying since I was saved about 38 years ago. I use BlueLetterBible. The name Jesus means GOD IS OUR SALVATION. And John 1:14 is in every translation. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. Some have used "human" but it is the same idea. So be careful what you post. The name Jesus means salvation. When you say God was manifest in the flesh, you may be following one translation. I am not sure what your translation is. I read the NASB.
if i told you my name was mike, i played basketball on a men's team, i use the men's restroom standing up, my children call me Dad...would You think i am a male/man without me ever saying i am a man but going by the proofs i presented?
how can you affirm that i am a man by those clues, when, I "never" said i was a man?
if you can affirm that i am a man by the facts stated about me, without me saying that i am a man, how come you won't take the Clues from the Disciples/Apostles, other Writers, of the New Testament, about Jesus?
How do you consider John 17:5?Jesus is the Son of God.
Also, I urge you to seriously consider the words of John 17:5.
Yes it did. And I am not looking to start a cult. Thank you though.Thank you. Independent study has its pitfalls. It has lead to the development of several cults.
Did the copy of the Chumash you read have commentary?
I am careful what I post. The name Yeshua means salvation. And, I accept John 1:14 so no problem. The name Jesus means GOD IS OUR SALVATION. And John 1:14 is in every translation. By reading it and thinking about it. Is that what you are asking? How do you consider John 17:5?
I am not sure what to make of this.everyone knows there's Aramaic words in the Gospels because when they translated to Greek later on, they did not have Greek words and left the Aramaic. [ELI ELI LLAMA SABACHTHANI] the Greek cannot translate this but in English, it means {{MY GOD MY GOD WHY HAST THOU FORSAKEN ME}}.....[TALITHA] again, the Greek has no word, numbering system, or flow to this Aramaic WORD, but in English, it means {{LITTLE GIRL}} --> there's actually 11 more of these in the Gospels.
so the Aramaic is the Original.
and in the Aramaic, Jesus says:
Using the Translation known as the Aramaic Bible in Plain English.
Let's begin with the Gospel of Matthew:
But Yeshua immediately spoke with them and he said, “Take heart; I AM THE LIVING GOD. Do not be afraid.” Matthew 14:27
Now from the Gospel of Mark:
"For they all saw him and they were afraid and immediately he spoke with them and he said to them, “Take heart, I AM THE LIVING GOD; do not be afraid.” Mark 6:50
"But Yeshua said to him, “I AM THE LIVING GOD, and you shall behold The Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of Heaven.” Mark 14:62
And from Luke's Gospel:
"But all of them were saying, “You are therefore the Son of God?” Yeshua said to them, “You are saying that I AM THE LIVING GOD.” Luke 22:70
And finally, from the Gospel of John the Beloved:
"Yeshua said to her, “I AM THE LIVING GOD, I who am speaking with you.” John 4:26
"But Yeshua said to them, “I AM THE LIVING GOD, do not be afraid.” John 6:20
“I said to you that you shall die in your sins, for unless you shall believe that I AM THE LIVING GOD, you shall die in your sins.” John 8:24
"Yeshua said to them: “Timeless truth I speak to you: Before Abraham would exist, I AM THE LIVING GOD.” John 8:58
“Now I am telling you before it happens, that when it has occurred, you shall believe that I AM THE LIVING GOD.” John 13:19
"They were saying to him, “Yeshua the Nazarene.” Yeshua said to them, “I AM THE LIVING GOD.” But Yehuda the traitor was also standing with them. And when Yeshua said to them, “I AM THE LIVING GOD”, they went backward and fell to the ground." John 18:5-6
To those who would ask, "Does Jesus ever say He is God in the Bible?" He Himself says,
“I AM THE LIVING GOD.”
Why do you think this scripture proves that there is no Trinity?By reading it and thinking about it. Is that what you are asking?
John 17:5 NASB20 - "And now You, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world existed.
Jesus is the Son of God.
Also, I urge you to seriously consider the words of John 17:5.
just more proofs of what i told you last night that existed. thought i would show true BIBLE VERSES, rather than Church Fathers, Scholars, Historian viewpoint. like this is the real deal Matthew Chapter 14:I am not sure what to make of this.
