The name Jesus means salvation. When you say God was manifest in the flesh, you may be following one translation. I am not sure what your translation is. I read the NASB.
I believe that it is a difference.
The word Christ means anointed. Who was Jesus anointed by? God.
Jesus is the Son of God.
Also, I urge you to seriously consider the words of John 17:5.
How long have you been seriously studying the Scriptures? What resources have you used and is there an individual or group that has helped you in gaining a better understanding?
I have been studying since I was saved about 38 years ago. I use BlueLetterBible. I have read the Chumash. No individual or group has helped me to gain a better understanding. I was influenced to believe that the Holy Spirit is God though.
Thank you. Independent study has its pitfalls. It has lead to the development of several cults.
Did the copy of the Chumash you read have commentary?
The name Jesus means GOD IS OUR SALVATION. And John 1:14 is in every translation. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. Some have used "human" but it is the same idea. So be careful what you post.
everyone knows there's Aramaic words in the Gospels because when they translated to Greek later on, they did not have Greek words and left the Aramaic. [ELI ELI LLAMA SABACHTHANI] the Greek cannot translate this but in English, it means {{MY GOD MY GOD WHY HAST THOU FORSAKEN ME}}.....[TALITHA] again, the Greek has no word, numbering system, or flow to this Aramaic WORD, but in English, it means {{LITTLE GIRL}} --> there's actually 11 more of these in the Gospels.
so the Aramaic is the Original.

I am careful what I post. The name Yeshua means salvation. And, I accept John 1:14 so no problem.
By reading it and thinking about it. Is that what you are asking?
