The Scriptures that answer the question of the thread have been given. Hebrews 8 and 9 directly address the question. Romans 9 and 10 also help answer the question. Ephesians 2 describes the oneness of believers in Messiah. Galatians 6 refers to believers as the Israel of YAH. The question is answered in those passages and other associated verses.

I know that Galatians 6 does not refer to the Israel of YAH.

Galatians 6

12 As many as desire to make a good impression in the flesh compel you to be circumcised, just so they may not be persecuted for the cross of Messiah. 13 For even they who receive circumcision don’t keep the law themselves, but they desire to have you circumcised, so that they may boast in your flesh. 14 But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Adonai Yeshua the Messiah, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. 15 For in Messiah Yeshua neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation. 16 As many as walk by this rule, peace and mercy be on them, and on the Israel of EL(Theos, Elohim, YAH, God).

That is not what it says.

Galatians 6:16 NASB20 - And all who will follow this rule, peace and mercy [be] upon them, and upon the Israel of God.

I have now read those chapters. NASB20. Thank you. What question do you believe has been answered?

You wrote: "Without faith, grace is dead, " and I can say that this is false. You don't make God's grace work. God has grace and you have faith and together you are saved. Otherwise you are not yet saved.
Let me explain it like this…
What is the meaning of life?

Revelation 4
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”

We were created to please God.

Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

We were created to please God, but to please God we need faith..

James 2
“For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also

Ephesians 2
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Gods grace works in many ways… but we are saved by grace through faith, if you remove works, faith is dead, and if faith is dead by what shall grace save you through?

Revelation 4:11 NASB20 - "Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created."

You are saved by grace through faith. The comes works. I hope that this helps.

There are plenty of people who believe in Jesus, but do nothing as far as works, will they be saved? We are not judged by our faith or by grace.

From another thread I am starting a thread at a suggestion to do so.

I do want to be saved by God and Jesus, but I am not sure that it is by the new covenant.

Is there a difference between being saved and salvation, and the new covenant?

I believe that I am saved, and if I am, perhaps not by the new covenant, since it is for Israel and I am a Gentile.
John 14:6
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

The key is to understand that He is the ONLY WAY. Jesus IS the New Covenant. He fulfilled and replaced the Old with Himself and His very own precious blood. Now we simply accept His sacrifice and ask Him into our hearts to stay. Not only is that all we can do, but it is imperative that we never attempt to add or trust in anything more.

I understand that salvation is by grace through faith and not of works such that we cannot boast. I do not believe that Jesus is the new covenant. God said through the prophet Jeremiah that He would make a new covenant with Israel, and I believe that by sending His Son to earth He did just that. Yes, it is by the blood or death of Jesus that I am saved.

Hi. Thank you for your response.

I do eat kosher only.

I don't know what you mean by the Sting of the law. You mentioned a death penalty and I do not know what you mean by that. For, you said that it is linked to the Sting of the law that you have not explained.
The Sting of the Law is the penalty upon those who break the Law.. which is the second death.. That is being cast into the eternal lake of fire for eternity.. Jesus saves those who believe Him and trust Him from that eternal penalty..

1 Corinthians 15:
56 "The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law."

You are right that we are to love our neighbor as ourself. And this is expressed in some if not all of the other commands or commandments.

As for atonement, what do you think of the word atonement here? It is the only case where it shows up for Jesus.
Well the word Atonement occurs 81 times in my Bible..

In the OT a Ram which is a sheep was sacrificed to atone for ones trespass against the will of God for the person to be forgiven..

(Leviticus 6:6-7) "And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD, a ram without blemish out of the flock, with thy estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest: {7} And the priest shall make an atonement for him before the LORD: and it shall be forgiven him for any thing of all that he hath done in trespassing therein."

Jesus is called the Lamb of God.

(John 1:29) "¶ The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."

This was pointing to the fact that Jesus would be offered up as a sacrifice to atone for peoples sins.. Thus allowing God to justly forgive their transgressions..

(Romans 5:10-11) "For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. {11} And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement."

So your bible does not use the same word as my KJV Bible uses.. Mine says we received the Atonement.. While receiving the Atonement does lead to reconciliation.. We receive reconciliation because of our trust in the Atonement..

Romans 5:11 NASB20 - And not only [this,] but we also celebrate in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

Sincerely,

Jacob

If that is the correct word then you are correct.

I was talking with someone on another thread and he suggested that I make this thread. The Bible says to work out your salvation in fear and trembling. I want to make sure that I am saved.
You want to make sure that you are saved, but at the same time you do not want to know the truth about salvation, Christ, and the New Covenant. So now you must decide. Do I hold on to my erroneous views, or do I seek the truth and nothing but the truth.

I am a Gentile.

I know that the new covenant is for Israel. Jeremiah 31:33. Yirmiyahu 31:32.

Galatians 3:28
There is neither Jew nor Greek, (gentile) there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus

We were also told not to make such divisions.

Corinthians 1
10Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Romans 1:16 NASB20 - For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

Romans 2:9-10 NASB20 - [There will be] tribulation and distress for every soul of mankind who does evil, for the Jew first and also for the Greek, but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who does what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

Romans 10:12 NASB20 - For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same [Lord] is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;

Galatians 3:28 NASB20 - There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Colossians 3:11 NASB20 - [a renewal] in which there is no [distinction between] Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, [and] free, but Christ is all, and in all.

It does not have to do with divisions. For example, this has to be read that I am still a male.

We must rightly divide the word

You are a male because you are in the flesh.
But God is spirit, and we must worship Him in spirit. When one worships God in the spirit and is a believer in Christ, there is no male.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
