Imagine one who rejects that which has been handed down to us through the ages as God built his church and used men, preachers, to spread the gospel through out the world for more than 2000 years; but calls themself one of us.

You believe that the Father is God, but the Son is not. right?

No. It doesn't. I am a Christian. Many people who are Christians around the world get persecuted for saying that Jesus is not God. But I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and Deity, and that the Alpha and Omega in Revelation either refers to God or Jesus. It says, "I, Jesus...".

Yes and No. When you say it like that my response might be No. God is the Creator but Jesus is the Son of God. Some people believe that Jesus is the Creator. But, I don't.

John 17:5 NASB20 - "And now You, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world existed.

I believe that you are using human terms to say that Jesus is the Son of God and has the Spirit of God from before the world was or before the world existed, if He existed then. Only Jesus has the Deity of the Father. Many people have the Spirit of God dwelling in them, but they have sinned unlike Jesus. Why did the Spirit descend like or as a dove?

because He is the Spirit of God

The Spirit of God does not descend like as a dove on no other nowhere else in Scripture. Why not?
 
He said that out loud. Wouldn't that have been enough to let them know? Why wouldn't it have been just as well if a tongue of fire descended upon Jesus?
