Funny that you should mention it, as the ones that mysteriously die in accidents tend to (or at least, imply that NASA is a fraud). Hard for them to know Earth is flat, as the answer is always "you've got to go higher to see the curvature".

However, science requires that observation (flat Earth) be the default position, unless ball-Earth can be proved. And ball-Earth cannot be proved.

When I went down the flatearth rabbit hole a few years ago, one of the questions I found fascinating was, what is the sound of thunder echoing off of if not the firmament above us.

In flat earth, the firmament is God's 2nd heaven that the sun, moon and planets move in and the stars are attached to the top of it. It's like a cat's eye turned sideways. The top is a sphere and the bottom is the shape of a cat's narrowed pupil. God opened the 'pupil' to separate the waters above from those below and we live in the pupil.

So the theory is, the sound of thunder echoing is the sound bouncing off the inside of the pupil which is our ceiling.

I saw that clip on youtube but I don't think we should read too much into it, as the phrase "we didn't go there" was just Aldrin trying to find words to answer her question. Perhaps he should have said- "America didn't go there after the final Apollo mission because..."

Science is about testing and repeating experiments to prove what is true. If curvature can be seen by a few people up there, it can be measured by everyone down there. That it can't be measured shows the few people who claim to have been up there are lying.
