Acts 2 concerns the new covenant.

it did not replace the Abrahamic covenant, the Land covenant or the davidic covenant however.
what exactly is our new covenant then is it a promise based on a covenant now sealed in our hearts

The new covenant is founded on repentance of sins.

How can you repent of those sins if theres no law to convict you of those sins.

Jesus Christ said I'm under the law of the holy spirit.

The covenant I speak of, is God said he would write those laws on our hearts.

Where they the holy laws from Abrahamic covenant as in the ones that Jesus talked about when he said I'm under the law of the holy spirit.. as in the holy spirit finds it holy to honour marriage so the holy spirit wrote the laws on our hearts you shall not commit adultery. Etc and more holy laws like love God with all your heart which is every law included.

I was understanding the mount Sinai covenant held the ten commandment that went to each new covenant from there.

But what covenant are the children of the covenant under here

Acts 2:37-39

New International Version

37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”
38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

what promise covenant are the children under since they can't commit to it 😍
This is the new covenant in Jesus blood. The verses you quoted are an example of what Jesus said...I will build my church...

The law was given to moses..

But before moses. People know what sin was. They knew it because God wrote those laws on their hearts.

He still does that. As paul said, gentiles who do not have the law. By nature do things within the law

The law of moses was given to lead people to christ. But it could not save anyone. Thats why the new covenant is a better covenant.. because it saves.

the abrahamic covenant concerned a seed who would come who would bless all nations. And the fact that abraham would be the father of many nations.. and one of his descendents would be given a gift. That gift for all their generations..

The land covenant is that gift.. It had nothign to do with anyones salvation. So the new covenent is not related or replaced that (although some think it did)

the Davidic covenent is God promising David that one king would rule in his house and jerusalem.. That one man is Jesus, and will rule one day. That also has nothing to do with the new covenant.

If it is written on gentile non believing hearts. Would it not be written on our hearts also?

Do we really need the law to tell us what is sin> How do we know by nature what sin is.

remember a law is given to prove guilt so you can prosecute a law breaker. Were a law is not written, you can not prosecute.

ok Good question I was trying to get to the fact of knowing if the laws are wroten on Christians hearts.

I was wondering if those laws where transferred from the old testament.

Which would make us covenant people 😊

every command was repeated in the New Testament from the 10 except for the Sabbath.

no Sabbath keeping required for gentile believers.

and, the Mosaic Covenant was made with " the fathers of those who came out of egypt"

so, if your ancestors were not among the ones who crossed the red sea, then that covenant was not for you.

how do you know the Sabbath is not written on your heart 🤔

I mean do you ever get the feeling to rest in the lord 😊

but would there no longer be a need for a Sabbath when the lord is your rest..

And could that Sabbath be written on hearts to.

I'm interested im sure there's a part of the bible that says there's no longer a Sabbath but did that come after the laws where written on hearts.
So is the honour the Sabbath still written on hearts

So what I'm saying is.

People look at Jeremiah and see the laws will be written on hearts then they see a text in the New testament and it says there's no longer a Sabbath.

I mean isn't that applying to a particular era for everyone.

You know if we read the New testament and assume that it's done away with because it was written 2,000 years ago, why should that apply today because everybody who is born goes through the old testament to the New testament phase in some way yes

I celebrate the resurrection of Jesus on Sunday. I have never considered that the gathering to break the bread, is a day of rest.

Two different days, one is doing nothing all day, the other is rejoicing all day.

I have never seen any similarity between them.

the laws were written on our hearts before the covenant was given. so it transfered from our hearts as gentiles. Was given to the jews in written form (as a means to be a schoolmaster to lead to Christ) yet were still in the hearts of gentiles who did not have the law.

so again, I am not sure exactly what your trying to say

my next question is for anyone to reflect and take part, I hope to get some more evidence to support this, as I have found something already but Now im a little loosely goosey lol 🤔 quack quack.

From rainy day people to the nuns on the run I want to know where the covenant people are 😊

I can understand the lord writing the laws on the gentiles hearts part.

My instinct tells me Jesus himself wrote the commandments on the tablet, then He said it's not enough I'm going to write them commandments on the hearts of all people Jews and gentiles. Why just the gentiles

Then I read Jesus came to fulfill those laws, which would make him the Judge of all people on earth.
I suspect Jesus could now see the hearts of all people as a result of the commandments being on all hearts.

This is my best way to understand all this.

However I can't understand The commandments being transferred from gentile hearts some where else part you mention.

so here's the thing at what stage do new births children get the commandments wrote on there hearts if my suspicions are true.
Which I suspect they are.

Im thinking new birth children born today will get the commandments wrote on there hearts and I believe that this is befor they recieve Christ.

my question what covenant are children under at this stage 🤔 before Christ.

and what covenant are children promised to recieve in acts 2 baring in mind children can't commit to the new covenant.

I am totally confused here. this does not make sense to me

what do you mean when you say jesus wrote on the tablets. but thats not enough (the law was written on the hearts of all jew and gentile up until this time)

and I do not understand what you mean when you say transfered from gentile hearts to somewhere else????
