I appreciate what you have written and that has been my intention. And I do believe there is a righteous anger towards sin that glorifies God. One of my son's name is Phinehas after a man in the bible who slew another man because of his mockery of God. And the testimony that God gives of Phinehas is that he is as zealous for God's glory as God is for his own glory.
Having said that, it is a rare thing when someone is actually doing what they do to the glory of God. You know better your heart than I do. I just would rather God be glorified in His grace than in His judgment.

Like every normal person i live to keep my self alive to provide for my family I work sleep and do my best to keep Goodness close to my heart.

I believe in Good and the light to keep me safe and my family.

I believe by morals and in my spare time I love science history geology and exploration When I get to be with my wife and kid who are working down south I love to spend quality time.

When I'm sat in my truck on hours on end I chat here to pass the time away and try to learn the word when I'm not being whipped that is by theese beavers gnawing away with there gnashers and there knickers in the air.

I understand Christianity is about kindness and if I ignore a blind man or a beggar then I must not be Christian.

Apart from that all theese doctrines of bash this and bash that, I'm still waiting for the lord to provide a whip.

I live in hope that the world will be a better place for all one day.

When I open a discussion I get theese difference of opinions I've never heard of before and I ask my self what is normal what is truth, I pinch my self to see if I'm still real, and I know I'm ok.

Truth is not evil. Ever. The "delivery" methodology is of little consequence when it comes to confronting lies which ARE evil.

I would agree truth can never be evil.

The problem isn't in correcting error, but the manner in which it is done.

If you have children you know there is a place for a firm voice.

But I agree that when giving correction best not to demean the person.

The problem is most people are emotionally invested in their beliefs and sometimes it is part of their identity like speaking in tongues, so even if one tries to speak to the topic and not speak to the character people still feel attacked because of the emotional component.

I really think ultimately best not to belabor it, just walk away. You seem to adhere to that very well.

sadly, so many churches teach things that we hear and take as gospel truth. without studying and testing if they are true or not

this leads to interpreting the word to fit our belief system, instead of using the bible to determine our belief system.

which has lead to a multiple of beliefs in so much of scripture.. and all these different groups of churches teaching different things..

sadly we become men followers and not God followers. then many get mad if you try to share why you do not agree with them (i know. I used to be that way)

I stopped using the original KJV as have many people I know. I stopped using it when my dad gave me a NKJV scofield on my 18th birthday.. and I have not gone back. When my mother died. I got her KJV bible I keep on my shelf, A few times I have opened it up to read it. and am amazed that I could understand it at one time.. the language is so out there

If you have grown up with it and it is all you have ever used.. Its great,, use it, because you speak the language

if not. or your trying to get a new believer to read the bible. I would not give them a KJV anymore than I would give them a new living.. while one is so grossly misinterpreted. the other is in a language that most people can not understand so they would not be able to understand it.


By the way, we also have realized there is no perfect English Bible.. you can find mistakes in all of them. so you need to study to shew yourself approved whether you use the KJV the ASB the NIC the NKJV the NASB or whatever bible you use..

"Dynamite" is indeed related to "dýnamis", but only secondarily. "Dynamite" did not exist until Alfred Nobel's invention of the explosive substance. The word directly related to "dýnamis" is dynamic, which itself is the root for "dynamite" and which means "(of a process, relationship or system) always changing and making progress" or "(of a force or power) producing movement"*, not "explosive". Preachers and writers have incorrectly seized on "dynamite" because of the substance's sensational effects and the shock value of the comparison... in other words, "it preaches well". Sadly though, that leads people to an incorrect conclusion and confusion about the meaning of the text, as you have noted.

We had an English teacher in the 7th-8th grade that wanted us to learn Greek and Latin root words, because by knowing those, we can figure out the meaning of words we've never seen before, simply by knowing the root word.

I remember this one.... the root word for dynamite is "dyn" it's also the root word for many others, as has been mentioned.

-dyn- comes from Greek, where it has the meaning "power. '' This meaning is found in such words as: dynamic, dynamism, dynamite, dynamo, dynasty.

not necessarily. That is the problem. You might know the words, but probably don't understand the meaning/context of many of them.
That is the issue I have with the KJV.... it is in an archaic form of English. There are so many better translations that can actually be understood...
Like the scripture that said something about going to "divers places".... I knew an older man that used that to say you could not go to a bar or pub, because you were not supposed to go to a "dive"....
