Matthew 2:1-15 -- Outwitting Satan

1 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem 2 and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”
3 When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 When he had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born.

This is very disturbing to me. If you look at this story Herod believes that there was a sign in the heavens, He believes there is a baby born that was prophesied of by the prophets, and yet his response is not to repent but to kill thousands of babies. How sick and twisted are these world leaders. They are incapable of repentance, their conscience has been seared, this is why there is going to be judgement seat where some will be cast into hell. I used to think the world leaders were unbelievers based on their sinful life, but I have since learned they are freemasons, they are Satanists and they believe in the Bible, just like James said, only they tremble. The same is true today, they see the signs, they know this means that the day of the Lord is at hand, they know that the rapture is coming, but instead of repenting they are pushing stories about UFOs.

5 “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied, “for this is what the prophet has written: 6 “‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’”

According to the book of Revelation the church in Philadelphia has a little power, they are not great in strength, but they have been faithful to the Lord and He promises to keep them out of the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole earth. He also says that those of the synagogue of Satan will come and worship at their feet and know that God is truly in your midst. Among God’s people the church in Philadelphia is like the town of Bethlehem. Not a great city like Jerusalem where all the Bible experts and scholars are, but rather a town with shepherds and common people that was not greatly esteemed. But when the Lord returns and the faithful ones are raptured all will know that God was in their midst.

7 Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. 8 He sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him.”

He is treacherous and crooked like a snake. The arrogance of these men will be their downfall. He got to his position because of his treachery, his ability to deceive and lay traps for the sheep and those who don’t know the deep things of Satan. It has worked for him before, but he made one little mistake. He may be able to fool people, but He can’t fool God. What he has done here is to reveal how devious and evil his heart is.

9 After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.

This is a strange description for those of us who don’t pay much attention to the signs in the heavens. However, for those that do they can immediately understand this. The planets were called “wandering stars” because they were moving around the heavens. However, Earth goes around the Sun faster than Jupiter, the planet that denotes King Jesus (if you look at a picture of Jupiter it has stripes on it like the stripes by which we were healed when Jesus was scourged, and there is a big red dot in the side of Jupiter just like Jesus was pierced in the side with a spear, and it is the biggest planet). What this means is that Jupiter will appear to move backwards and even stand still at different times. By itself that could not be the star, but what also happens is that Jupiter will be in conjunction with other stars and planets. What that means is you see the two of them as one especially bright star. This is clearly a description of this process. That said, if you want to know more go to links concerning the "star of Bethlehem".

10 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. 11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. 12 And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.

These three treasures could signify God’s divine nature, the Holy Spirit that carries our prayers to God, and the effectiveness of the death of Jesus Christ the Son. What is quite interesting is that Mary and Joseph are obviously not wealthy. If you look at Mary’s prayer and the fact that Jesus was born in a manger that seems like a reasonable conclusion. These gifts though instantly provided what they needed to then flee to Egypt as they are about to be told. If we are children of God then God, our Father, will provide what we need when we need it. This is often our experience. Over the last three years I began putting money away into the bank every paycheck, it was the first time in my life for such a surplus and I had no idea what to do with it, but I had the peace to just put it in the bank despite it not getting any interest. Then when the mandates came I left my job rather than get the vaccine, my wife did as well and there in the bank was sufficient funds to move. God provided, and then I understood what this surplus had been for.

13 When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.”

I think this is very interesting to anyone who has ever been deceived and taken advantage of by some scam artist. Why is it that God warns Joseph and Mary but didn’t warn you? Let me tell you a story about my wife. A friend of hers wanted her to invest in real estate so she could get rich. Knowing that she was supposed to be under the headship of her husband she asked me to go listen to the pitch so I could give my approval. I met this woman and discovered enough to realize this was a scam. I told my wife it was a scam and to have nothing to do with her. However, that is not what she wanted to hear, so she called me an idiot and went ahead anyway and invested and lost all her money. In another instance I was sitting in a large family meeting with my wife’s family. They were discussing getting involved in an investment scheme that sounded like a ponzi scheme to me. I told them that if they invested in it they would lose all their money. I was shushed, they invested and they lost all their money. The issue is not that God doesn’t warn us, the issue is that we refuse to listen to His warnings.

14 So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, 15 where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called my son.”

Look at all these prophecies. If you had studied them at the time and knew them they would have led you to Jesus. Some knew that Jesus would be born in Bethlehem but didn’t bother going with the wise men to see Him? Others knew about the sign in the heaven that the Magi saw. They were taught by Daniel who based it on Numbers 24 and other key verses and prophecies. The Old Testament is a covenant that God’s people had with God. It is like a contract and every little word in that contract is significant. The Lord said if you love Him you will keep His word and do what He says. If you aren't doing what the Lord says and you aren't keeping the Lord's word then stop saying you love the Lord.

we know that every where it is spoken against.

Acts 28:22 But we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest: for as concerning this sect, we know that every where it is spoken against.

Think about that, we have heard this so often. For example, The Sound of Freedom. Why was that movie spoken against. There have been many movie reviewers who are not Christians, not MAGA, not Conspiracy theorists, but you have a movie that is breaking records while being spoken against. They want to see for themselves why and when they see it they can't understand why anyone would speak against this movie.

Think about the JFK and RFK conspiracists who are now being vindicated.

Think about all the conspiracy theories concerning the Pandemic and vaccine which are now being vindicated.

Think about the Hunter Biden plea deal and all the conspiracy theories about a two tiered justice system being vindicated.

The Lord has set the stage, during the tribulation Christians will "everywhere be spoken against" and people will want to hear from the Christians to see for themselves.

Think about Donald Trump, every time they indict him his poll numbers go up. It will be the same with the Christians.

O God, thou hast cast us off -- thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment

A psalm for the left behind

Psalm 60:1 O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again. 2 Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh. 3 Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.

There is the cup of blessing which the Lord blesses and that He will drink anew with us in the Kingdom at the time of the rapture. But for those left behind they get the wine of astonishment.

4 Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.

Those that obeyed the Lord and followed the Lord and feared the Lord and not man, to them they get a banner. The rapture is a banner indicating they were victorious.

A shadow of things to come

Let's look at the verses in the New Testament concerning the rapture and see if we can see all of them shadowed in the story about the 9th of Av.

2Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

This is a conclusion about Paul saying that if our earthly tabernacle dissolves we have a building in heaven. On the 9th of Av when Moses came down from Mt. Sinai and broke the ten commandments that was an example of all of Israel appearing before the judgement seat. The Levites received the priesthood, things good, the worshippers of Moloch received death, things bad. The only feasts this can refer to would be atonement.

Also the temple of God is "dissolved" twice while on earth and both times it is on the 9th of Av.

John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

This is quite similar to the story of the spies going into the good land to spy it out. When the Israelites enter they will have to defeat and inhabitants of the land. When we are raptured the fallen angels are cast out of heaven. The only feast this could apply to would be Moses going up the mountain on Shavuot, but it would indicate that the rapture comes later. He came down the mountain on the 9th of Av.

Revelation 3:10 Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth.

This is clearly expressed on this day. The Levites were faithful, they were kept from the hour of trial. Joshua and Caleb were faithful, they were kept from the curse. You don't see this in the Passover, there is no distinction, in fact it says that "a mixed multitude" left Egypt indicating there was no sifting. But this verse indicates there will be a distinction made between the believers. Some have kept the Lord's commandments and endured patiently, some haven't. Some will be kept from the hour of trial, some won't. This word cannot apply to any of the feasts other than Passover.

Mark 13:32 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

This may or may not be referring to the rapture. The context of this verse is that "heaven and earth will pass away" and that is not when the rapture takes place. Still, it is undeniable that there will be a lot of confusion, a lot of believers saying "the Lord delays His coming" or that "no one knows the day or hour". We see this in the story of the 9th of Av as well. The Moloch worshippers did not expect Moses to come down when He did. Also, when the curse was over no one died on the morning after the 9th. They thought they might of made a mistake and so slept in the graves again, and again until the full moon on the 15th when they realized the curse was over. This word definitely does not apply to Passover, Feast of unleavened bread, or Feast of Firstfruits. Some have tried to tie this word to Feast of Trumpets but that seems far fetched for me. Likewise, it does not apply to Atonement or Tablernacles. The only feast this might also apply to is Shavuot, with Trumpets being a big stretch.

Philippians 3:20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,

You could argue that this applies to Passover as they were leaving Egypt realizing their citizenship was not of Egypt. But they weren't awaiting a savior to come at that point, they were following Moses out. However when they were in the wilderness on the edge of the good land waiting for the spies to return, this would be the picture. The promise is that God is giving them that land, that is where their citizenship will be and they are eagerly awaiting Joshua to return and bring them in.

Romans 8:18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

The children of Israel went through a lot of trials in Egypt, but in the New Testament Paul refers to that as being when they were slaves of sin and under the rule of the kingdom of darkness. That is not a good description of this. But when they were in the wilderness they were also going through many trials and suffering, but as the nation of Israel, not as slaves, and that time cannot be compared to the full glory of the kingdom that was coming at the time of Solomon.

The first time that glory was revealed in Israel was on the 9th of Av when the Levites stood with Moses. The second time was also on the 9th of Av when Joshua and Caleb gave the good report.

1Corinthians 15:51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.

I am not including the verses is 1Thessalonians 4 because there it says "we who are still alive and are left" and so I think that is about the left behind. This is more general, and so I think this inclusive of all that are raptured.

The perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable. Why? Is this because every word of God must be fulfilled? Is this because the Lord promised to give us eternal life? This happens in a flash. This does not sound like the Passover, that happened in a day. They ate at night and they walked out in the day. This does not sound like Shavuot. This definitely does not sound like Atonement. You have to appear before the Lord concerning all the things done in your body both good and bad, that is not something that happens "in a flash".

The only thing I can compare this to is the 15th of Av. They awake out of the graves, probably at twilight and how long does it take for them to realize they are still alive? You could say "in a flash" they realized the curse was over.

Luke 17:34 I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left. 35 Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left.” 37 “Where, Lord?” they asked. He replied, “Where there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather.”

Again, we are looking for a shadow of this day and the only day that can possibly come to mind would be from 9th of Av to the 15th of Av. Two people were in one grave, one was taken, one was left. But even more this is talking about ministry, we have the gospel field and we have those who are in the word of God to feed the saints. They are "together" in one church or in the name of Jesus Christ. But one is taken as a close friend and the other is divorced.

The most interesting thing is they don't ask when, or who, they ask where. Jesus does not give them an address, instead He gives them a landmark. So when you see this landmark, you will know where you are in history. All the vultures are gathered together, that is where the dead body is. The nations of this earth are all like vultures and they all gather together at the UN and that is where the dead body is. Isn't it amazing that in a single night the UN decided to make Israel a nation.

So then is there a shadow of this day? Certainly not any of the seven feasts. You might think Atonement, but no one would dare be in the field or grinding grain on Atonement. In fact this cannot be a holy day or a sabbath day for that very reason. It also can't be the 9th of Av, that is a day of mourning and fasting. You would not be in the field or grinding grain. This could be the 15th of Av, a joyous day for getting married and no doubt for the close personal friends of the Lord that are taken this would be a joyous day.

Revelation 6:12 And I saw when he opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the whole moon became as blood; 13 and the stars of the heaven fell unto the earth, as a fig tree casteth her unripe figs when she is shaken of a great wind. 14 And the heaven was removed as a scroll when it is rolled up; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. 15 And the kings of the earth, and the princes, and the chief captains, and the rich, and the strong, and every bondman and freeman, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains; 16 and they say to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17 for the great day of their wrath is come; and who is able to stand?

This depicts the rapture taking place on a "whole" moon or full moon. Therefore it can only be one of two possible days: Passover or the 15th of Av. It can't be Passover. Pharaoh did not hide himself from the wrath of the lamb, instead he chased after them with this army. After the 15th of Av the children or Israel celebrated that the curse was over and then they entered the land and the whole land was quaking with fear because of them.

We have 9 New Testament verses describing the rapture. There is no holy day or great day that is a shadow of these nine verses other than the 9th of Av through the 15th of Av.

A shadow of things to come, part 2

Habakkuk 2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

There is no Holy day or Sabbath that you could say this of except for the 15th of Av. A full moon is considered an appointed day. Passover is a holy day that is on a full moon. However, unleavened bread, First fruits, Shavuot, Feast of Trumpets and Atonement are not on a Full moon.

You have three holy days on a full moon: Passover, 15th of Av, and the first day of Tabernacles. However, in only one case would it appear to tarry. It is bizarre to say that it will appear to tarry but it will not tarry. That can only refer to the 15th of Av.

When the 9th of Av came after the 40 years were up the Israelites still dug graves and lie in them because it was only 38 years from when God cursed them. They did not realize He had counted the two years prior to the curse as part of their penalty. When no one died they thought they had made a mistake and continued in the graves until the 15th. Only then did they realize the curse had ended. So you see it appeared to tarry but it didn't. The 15th of Av was a hidden day that they did not know. In addition it makes much more sense that the Feast of New Wine would be on the 15th rather than the 8th of Av. Imagine having a celebration followed by a national day of mourning. On the other hand imagine the biggest day of the year for weddings is also the Feast of New wine. This would be a day that everyone would be celebrating, eating, drinking, marrying and giving in marriage.

So let's go through the math. God says you need to count full Sabbath weeks, since Passover is on a Sabbath you would have to begin the count a week after Passover. Since Shavuot is at the start of 8th week from that you would again have to wait until the following week to have a full Sabbath. This means it would be 7+7+1+1 weeks from Passover, or 16 weeks. There are 4 weeks in a lunar month, so this would be exactly 4 months from Passover, or the 15th of Av.

The 15th of Av is a hidden feast day that is not mentioned in the Old Testament and only mentioned in the New Testament with the greek name of Pentecost. Many confuse this with Shavuot, it is most definitely not Shavuot, we have discussed that in great detail and proven from the Bible that Pentecost is not Shavuot but rather the Feast of new wine.

So think about it, the first celebration of Pentecost the Lord told the disciples to remain in Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit was poured out on them (proving that they were there on Shavuot and that Pentecost is not Shavuot and also reminding us of Habukkuk talking about this day saying "though it tarry").

A shadow of things to come, part 3

Isaiah 26:20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

Consider this word indignation.

Psalm 78:49 He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them.

This is a reference to Passover when the first born died.

Zephaniah 3:8 Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.

This is a reference to the seven year tribulation. We saw the shadow of this with the 15th of Av, after the celebration of that the children of Israel enter into the good land to dispossess the nations.

Once again we see that the rapture where we enter into the chambers and hide until the indignation is past is like the Passover, only different. At the Passover only the lamb of God takes away the sins of the world. But at the rapture we see God's people who were faithful and obedient to God humbling themselves even to the death of the cross. We see the dead in Christ rise first at the rapture whereas at Passover we see Jesus rise first. At Passover Jesus gives us His blood to drink as a cup of blessing and He says He won't drink of the fruit of the vine until He drinks it new with us. So these two events, Passover and Feast of New wine they fit together like two legos pieces, they are different but they clearly go together.

A shadow of things to come, part 4

Luke 21:29 And he spake to them a parable: Behold the fig tree, and all the trees: 30 when they now shoot forth, ye see it and know of your own selves that the summer is now nigh. 31 Even so ye also, when ye see these things coming to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh. 32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all things be accomplished. 33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

The church is the vine tree (John 15), Israel is the Olive tree. After seven days the dove returned with the olive branch in her mouth signifying the salvation of the Jewish nation. So then what does the fig tree signify? The first mention is when Adam and Eve covered themselves with Fig leaves after eating the forbidden fruit. If you were to suddenly realize you were naked would you run back to where you had a fig tree to get leaves or would you grab leaves from the tree you are standing under? No doubt this is a reference to Israel returning to in 1948 and then passing the law for all to return in 1950. All the trees refer to all the other nations that were formed at about the same time in and around the middle east. However, Jesus uses the fig tree instead of the olive tree to signify Israel, that is a big indication that they are in a sinful state. Now let us consider a fig tree, they planted this in 1948, the leaves sprouted forth in 1950, when we see the fruit of this tree that should be a very big sign to us. Recently they have been talking about changing the ten commandments with their new climate change laws, they have created the Abraham house where Judaism, Islam and Christianity all have houses of worship, and they are talking about using AI to write a new Bible. This is all fruit of the poisoned tree.

This is also relevant to the discussion about the 9th of Av because it is theorized that Adam and Eve sinned on the 9th of Av, and all the timelines going to 2030 are based on that date.

34 But take heed to yourselves, lest haply your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day come on you suddenly as a snare: 35 for so shall it come upon all them that dwell on the face of all the earth. 36 But watch ye at every season, making supplication, that ye may prevail to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Do we see a shadow of this? Go back to the 9th of Av when Moses broke the ten commandments. He came on them suddenly. They were overcharged with surfeiting and drunkenness. As you have done it will be done to you. That is how they treated God, so in return this is how He will treat the world and the Moloch worshippers.

Both of these parables referring to the rapture coming on the earth are seen in the 9th of Av. They do not describe Passover at all, the Israelites were well warned about that day and had to prepare for almost a week. They had to examine the lamb, put the blood on the door and borrow from the Egyptians. They were not caught suddenly by surprise. They were not drunken. The same is true of all the other Jewish holy days.

This tells us the situation in the world and the situation in the church. We will see the church with those who are drunken with the world and caught up with the cares of this world and we'll see the world will be like the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil filled with ripe fruit. The censorship, the fake news, the outright lies, the brazenness of it.

1Thessalonians 5:2 For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.

Here is another similarity between Jesus crucifixion and the tribulation. When Jesus was crucified a thief (Judas) came in the night and betrayed Him. He was watching, He was praying, but everyone else was asleep.

Likewise we are told that the situation will be the same with us.

Judas betrayed Jesus with a kiss and the Antichrist will betray the world by saying "peace and security".

But the shadow of this is when Joseph's brothers sold him for 20 pieces of silver. Judas sold Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. Together that works out to 2030.

Joseph is a type of Jesus, his name in Egyptian means "savior of the world". However, when his brothers come to Egypt after he is lifted up out of prison to become the ruler of Egypt he does the same thing to them. Jesus tells us that He will come as a thief. He secretly puts an idol into Benjamin's bag and frames him as a thief. This was a test, have they repented for what they did to Joseph or is this just who they are? Because they genuinely repent He is able to forgive them and reveal Himself to them.

Then of course the reason Babylon came and besieged Jerusalem the first time was because they saw all the treasures and wanted to steal them. They were a thief.

The way a thief comes in the night is to first scope the place out, see where the loot is and see how to get in. This is what the Babylonians did and this is what Judas did. They had inside men, who betrayed the Lord and His people. So in the same way we will have people, Satanists, Freemasons, and Jesuits who will scope out the Evangelical churches and rob them. Trump's campaign slogan for 2024 is "Trump 2024 Save America". Trump has built a temple to Baal, Trump tower is very clearly a temple to Baal. I can understand why people would vote for him, but you should not view him as a Christian. He was the one where the pandemic was released on his watch, he brought us the vaccine, he did not protect the country from election fraud if you believe the 2020 election was stolen, and he is a very divisive, polarizing figure. I get it that the Democrats are full on evil with many of their policies and I get why Evangelicals would vote for Trump given the choice, but do not be deceived, they are a thief in the night and Trump is a diversionary tactic. The US is moving to a digital currency, and already they are on the verge of implementing the mark of the beast. For all the crimes that have been revealed how many people have gone to jail? How many have been impeached? They made a big show that they were going to be tough on the budget negotiations, how did that go? The US dollar is being destroyed, we are on the verge of WW3, they are implementing one world currency and one world government, and 50% of the country thinks that Trump 2024 saves America?

A more effective way to speak concerning the rapture

In my experience what has been the most effective for me (I probably speak to at least a hundred people a month) is to refer to a recent news article.

For example there was a woman who was arrested for praying in the UK. She was on a public sidewalk, was not carrying any sign of any sort and was not praying out loud. The police asked her if she was praying, she said she might be and so they arrested her. I compared that to Daniel being arrested for praying. When people see the word of God being fulfilled right in front of their eyes it wakes them up.

Another example, I shared how Yuval Noah Harari suggested that AI can write a new Bible. I told people that the Bible says that the enemy will seek to change laws. We saw that recently when they smashed the ten commandments on Mount Sinai and presented the Climate Change ten commandments. I use this to explain how you need a hard copy of the Bible because in a minute they can change all the online Bibles.

Another example, I shared about the congressional UFO hearings and explained that the Bible told us that God would give people a great delusion because they loved a lie and hated the truth.

I shared about Agenda 2030 comparing this to the covenant that will be confirmed with the many on the Feast of Trumpets to start off the tribulation.

I shared about the statue that is 10 cubits high of King Charles called "savior of the world" and how they want to put that in the temple when it is rebuilt and that this is the "winged idol" which Daniel refers to,

People can't argue with a news story and if it happened in that week they can't dismiss you because "they heard it all before".

After you share something like that it hooks them in, then you tie it to the word of God it intrigues them (the Bible is telling us all these things two thousand years ago), and then you can conclude with "time is short" or "the Lord is about to return".

This is much more effective than giving some predicted rapture date because of your Bible study. That will not cause anyone to turn to the Lord, rather they will make a note of it and when the date falls through they will mock and ridicule. Instead of causing them to turn to the Lord you have hardened them even more against Christians and the gospel.

Who is able to war with him?

Revelation 13:4 and they worshipped the dragon, because he gave his authority unto the beast; and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? and who is able to war with him?

Revelation 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that cometh up out of the abyss shall make war with them, and overcome them, and kill them.

The Next Frontier for Warfighters Might Be Implants in Their Brains. Is the Pentagon Ready for the Consequences?

Early on, scientists realized that the same medical research that would allow them to make prosthetics respond to the brain might also be used to enhance how troops fight, such as special operators communicating on the battlefield without uttering a word, interacting with a drone, or maybe even helping eradicate the fear of entering a room filled with enemies and the post-traumatic stress that can follow a firefight.

If you can understand the signals within the brain -- a task entirely impossible before the advent of artificial intelligence, which allows the digestion of massive data sets, you might be able to alter them, or otherwise change the nature of the closed system the brain had been since humans developed oversized thinking lobes.

"Now, you think about the what-ifs. That was very clear. Collect the brain signals, get the robot arm, clear use case, show the science can be done," Ling told Military.com in a 2021 interview. "Now what's next? Well, what's next is where does your imagination take you?"

Ling described how early on the laboratory conducting the research connected one patient to a flight simulator instead of a robotic arm. Using just her brain, she was able to achieve liftoff on the screen.

"When you talk to her, and you ask her what she's doing, she'd go, 'Oh, I think I want to fly. I think about looking up, and the plane goes up,'" Ling detailed. "She's not thinking about moving a joystick or a rudder, she's thinking about flying, and the plane flew."

The potential medical applications of access to the brain for treating ailments are far-ranging, but pressure to compete with America's adversaries might tempt leaders with the next step: enhancement.

The fear of being surpassed by "near-peer" competitors -- Pentagon parlance for Russia and China -- is driving all kinds of technology pushes by the military, including hypersonics, artificial intelligence and bioenhancement.

Both China and Russia can move at an expedited pace when it comes to military research due to their authoritarian government structure, and both have different standards when it comes to ethical guidelines in medical testing.

"There's a very real set of scenarios where neurotechnology plays a role in our national security moving forward," Justin Sanchez, the former director of DARPA's biological technologies office, told Military.com in a 2020 interview. "We cannot lose sight of that. It has to be a priority for us."

In the 20 years since Ling began work on what scientists call brain-machine interface, the ability to understand and even alter the brain has progressed rapidly. What started as a discovery to heal the wounds of war kick-started research designed to make America's warfighters more efficient and more lethal in battle.

The Air Force is testing how hand-held devices and skull caps that use electrical current to stimulate the brain could help pilots learn more efficiently and get into aircraft cockpits faster. DARPA has also funded tests using electrical currents funneled through electrodes implanted in the brains of those suffering from epilepsy, piggybacking on a recognized treatment to see what else the currents could do.

Let's address the elephant in the room

Preppers

In post #9116 I have Stan Johnson who is a very big post trib rapture guy and he sells food, emp shields, and sends you to people who sell gold and silver.

In post #9117 I have Dr. Barry Awe who is a very big pre trib rapture guy who advertises tshirts that are billboards for Christ (though he doesn't sell them) and jokes about preppers thinking they can make it through the tribulation.

My understanding is that not all Christians will be raptured. You can argue that all those who aren't are not Christians, but I don't think that is a Biblical position. Instead I understand that 80% of those who are alive today and will ultimately be saved are going to go through the tribulation. So, if you are writing "rapture letters" it seems so much better to leave behind some silver and some food and other things that people might need to help them to be faithful. Obviously if they are left behind their faith is weak. Personally I hope and pray that I and my whole family will be raptured. However, I have no assurance that this will be the case.

Second of all, I do not assume to know all, Stan has very good reasons for believing the way he does and I agree that he has a testimony that he is serving the Lord. The same thing is true of Dr. Barry Awe. When I read the Bible I see a lot about being prudent, preparing for the evil day, and heeding God's warnings.

So then I have prepped and I have prayed and I have studied the word and it is my hope that I will be raptured pre tribulation and it is also my hope that everything I have done to prepare for the tribulation will help some to be saved during the tribulation and stand for the Lord when called to be a martyr.
