INSTANTAENOUS. That is what is presented in Scripture. A good example is Peter and John and the man they healed outside the temple. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God:
Nehemiah6,---The Disciples where infilled with the Holy Spirit at Pentecost-----to carry out the building the of the Church for Christ by winning souls and preforming Miracles ----
-
the indwelling of the Holy Spirit was given to the Disciples before they were infilled with power by Holy Spirit -----
you need to understand that the difference between the 2 ---the infilling is given to people for a specific task that God has given them to do ------the infilling gives you power to preform miracles --- heal instantly ---to cast out demons --speak in tongues -etc -
the indwelling is for Salvation ---you cannot preform instant healing with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit ----the Holy Spirit has the power to choose who gets this extra power --that is the infilling to do a certain task that God wants done ----and the Holy Spirit Decides ---and that is scriptural -------the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit
We humans who have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit are saved -----but we cannot heal ourselves or others just by having the indwelling of the Holy Spirit ---you need the infilling of the Holy Spirit -----to heal immediately ---the infilling was given at Pentecostal to the Disciples ----for God's purpose -----
John 20:19-23
New International Version
Jesus Appears to His Disciples
19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”
20 After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.
21 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”
22
And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.
People also ask
Did the disciples receive the Holy Spirit at Pentecost?
Scripture tells us
the disciples were given the Holy Spirit before the Day of Pentecost, and, they were told to remain in Jerusalem
to receive “a power” from the Holy Spirit.
For us to get healed we who are just indwelled with the Holy Spirit do not have the power to heal immediately ----we have the Salvation promise that healing is there for us ---if we so desire to plant the seed of healing-----when you don't plant the seed you can;t even begin to get the results of a harvest ---at least if you plant a seed you can learn from what your doing to fix any problems that are stopping your full harvest ----
the Word is the Seed-----you need to keep the weeds out so it doesn't choke your seed before you get your harvest -------
The Parable of the Sower is telling us how God's Kingdom Works ------by the Believer planting God's promised Seeds which will give a harvest -----if ----planted in good fertile inner soil ----and we see the process through keeping the weeds out so nothing stands in the way of getting the full harvest ----
Luke 8:4-18
And when a great crowd was gathering and people from town after town came to him, he said in a parable, “
A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell along the path and was trampled underfoot, and the birds of the air devoured it.
And some fell on the rock, and as it grew up, it withered away, because it had no moisture.
And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up with it and choked it.
And some fell into good soil and grew and yielded a hundredfold.” As he said these things, he called out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” ...

this is the meaning of the Parable ------
9 His disciples asked him what this parable meant. 10 He said, “The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that,
“‘though seeing, they may not see;
though hearing, they may not understand.’[
a]
11 “This is the meaning of the parable:
The seed is the word of God.
12 Those along the path
are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.
13 Those on the rocky ground
are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away.
14
The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature.
15 But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.
This Parable is the way we get God's promises manifested in this Physical realm --------Healing is a promise ----unless we are given the POWER BY THE HOLY SPIRIT to heal instantly ---which is the INFILLING of the Holy Spirit ---we have to follow the Parable of the Sower to get the right results and don't fall away -----persistence ---steadfast Faith get the desired harvest ------
