Hello guys. I have noticed that some Christian friends and acquaintances tilt their heads back slightly when walking. I asked one of my acquaintances, a taxi driver that is Christian who used to drive me to work if the head tilt reflects Christian spirituality, and confidence in God and ourselves, and he said "That is exactly what it is. Feeling yourself and who you are, and feeling it in a way that the soul, spirit and body feel it all in the same way at once".

This is wholesome. So, do you folks tilt your head slightly upward yourself? Poll is open for responses.

I wonder if most people are cognizant of their head ……I feel like a bobble head most of the time… due to what is going on inside rather than my tilt.

Although if we took the Rufus Moseley approach, we would all most likely be looking slightly upward.

If I remember this correctly, He said:

I named one foot glory and the other hallelujah …and each time I take a step it’s… glory - hallelujah … glory – hallelujah. And I walk down the street with my head held high, like I just bought this side and am getting ready to purchase the other side.

I'm usually scanning all around me while I walk. My head is on a swivel. Lots of things can happen if I walk without paying attention.

Psst… most of those things will still happen when you are paying attention. 😉

Same here bro, same here. Especially with people in front of me, or the quality of sidewalks in my state.

I'm a heavy downward tilt. Being a depressive started it. Add in an introvert trying to keep random people away, added more. Now years of health problems have worn on me physically and mentally, so I'm tilted quite down. And after my last health issue I think I'm now slouched a bit

That is sad. I hope everything gets better for you. I have a few friends that may have mild forms of depression, so changes in life can be a challenge for them. Best thing to do, is to ask for support from a friend, just as I support my few friends that I have.

I've had depression nearly all my life. Most of which I've dealt with on my own. I educated myself on it, and learned to spot the affects from it in my own life, pretty well.
As I've gotten older the frequent heavy bouts of it have eased off, but there's always that lingering of it that affects me daily, even interfering with my ability to function, in some ways.

I don't have friends. I have a gf in a ldr, and that's it. Where I live now, 6 months after moving here I vegan developing health issues. I've had multiple since, mostly keeping me housebound, or not able to easily meet people, hence my online presence.

Most of my health issues are permanent and/or repeating, and have actually lead to one another's existence. So no getting better here.

I do appreciate your response though. Still good to see people supporting others with mental health problems.

Darn, it seems like life rolled the snake eyes on you, instead of the highest numbers on the dice. I'll pray for you tonight, and if you want a friend, I can be your friend. We need better mental health support in our country, and tighter knit communities like they did back before 1950s suburbia, where everyone has to drive miles to get anywhere instead of bike or use pedestrian pathways. That way, people could meet each other better.

I keep my head level when walking, although I'm used to tilting my head upwards when talking with people because I'm only 5'0" tall and that's with shoes on lol

I am just under 5'4" (under 163 cm) tall, so I have to do that when talking to people if I am at a close distance from them. :)

Awesome bro. You seem like you would be a cool friend Subhumanoidal. Also, your username sounds so futuristic, like something from Star Trek.

Thanks.
Haha. Thanks. I was thinking more primordial when I made it 😂
I was under another name here, previously. I canceled that name when my faith blew up, and made this account as a sign of my turning against God. Recently I've decided to come back to God, but going very slowly about proceeding beyond that, for now. Going at my own pace, rather than jumping back in very fast.

Hmm. Well, at least you are turning back to God. It can be hard to go to church for me, as I have Netflix and television at my place. Someone needs to come up with a 30-40 minute church service for people with shorter attention spans with communion near the middle of the service, and one song at the beginning and one at the end.

I chose tilted downwards but it's level most of the time. I'm old and need to watch where I'm stepping so I don't fall. I like to run and when I run I have a hard time holding my head up because all my energy is going into the running.

Looking somewhat up seems unnatural to me. Can't say that I've witnesssed that myself.

Last time i tried going to church i showed up late every time to miss the praise and worship.
For me personally public worship is too much of a distraction and too much pressure. That desire to "look spiritual" keeps me from being focused.
Also it begins and ends on their clock, understandably. So I chose to make it a private thing. I did it when I felt moved to, not because of the scheduled time. And went as long or short as I felt to. And no distractions or pressure. More sincerity and focus.
Not knocking it for others who are able to get something out of it, but for me it was just an awkward time doing nothing but waiting till it was over.

Sounds like you want a fast food church.
Welcome to McChurches, can I take your order?
Yes I'd like a $1 sermon, two small sides of praise and worship and a Kids Communion Meal. That is all. 😂😂
Just teasing. 😇
