I saw two white-tailed bunny rabbits running across the front lawn as I was leaving for work yesterday. Normally, I only see one, so somebody must have recently made a friend. I love bunnies. Can a grown man say that?
YES! Say it! Shout it from the roof tops even
I am reminded that God hears our prayers, and doesn't forget...
Sometimes the answer comes much later in life than we wanted, sometimes it comes long after we forget we ever even asked, but He never forgets us.
When I was a little girl I used to always ask for a pet bunny, but unfortunately never got one (though I was given plenty of stuffed bunnies and could pretend they were pets, but that was never the same as holding and loving the real thing)
We had cats and dogs, (all of which I loved dearly) and as I go older sort of forgot about wanting a bunny (and as I got older the idea of a bunny stuck in a cage all day seemed much crueler to me than leaving a cat or dog home alone during the day)
Honestly I had forgotten all about that little girls deep longing for a rabbit until the other day when I was in my back room holding my new floppy eared friend, looking out the window at the 5 or 6 wild ones running about and had a thought as I felt like I was being given a great, big hug: "remember all those times you asked for a rabbit? Well, here you go"
I love their fluffy white butts
we have a couple adult rabbits in the yard that look like small cotton balls, but when they get up and run all you see is this great, big ball of fluffy white; they're so funny. The babies, not so much. When they run off, their butts look like little fluffy cotton balls, but that'll change soon.
