Does the Bible support the idea of a spinning ball earth flying through space, or is that a Satanic, Masonic lie?

I am glad you remembered; however, 1 Corinthians 15:35-41 does not say nor indicate in any way that 'a star has a seed'. I believe that you are misinterpreting what you are reading.
yes it does Garry.

And it also refers to each star being different in splendor which means you might not nesacsrily be fried on a particular star.

Verse 38 says point blank says to each seed he gives a body.

Then he quotes each body including a star.

But ok if you can't agree on that, which I find outstanding.

He quotes each star differs in splendor,

Could be exlainging the splendor of earth to.

Since earth has wonderful splendor.

Sure - but, that does not mean that the next-or-any time you see 'body' in a verse thereafter that there is a seed associated with it - you are merging the ideas being explained/illustrated in the different contexts of the statements being made.

'every seed has a body' does not automatically mean 'every body has a seed' also

no disrespect, but then you fall into very first verse when the lord calls people foolish for thinking a body doesn't have a seed.

It's ok friend you've got all the time to reflect.

I'm glad your questioning it tho.

says it right here friend.

36 How foolish! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. 37 When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed,

well Gary from start to finish I have only used banter in this thread.

But since you can't see my quote as banter,

All I can assume is this really means a lot to you.

I feal it does but with another persons thoughts being mentioned as suggesting we have the mark of the beast in a discussion, of what I thought was banter. Is just a bit foolish also.

But if your going to take offence for the word foolish, when Jesus also uses that term.

Then you need to lighten up.

I really did think all of you arguing the earth was flat was just a bit of banter.

But now I don't know what to make of it.

I guess I'll have to accept it's ok to be a flat earther if ya want to be.

Something you may have not noticed

Dome definition.

a rounded vault forming the roof of a building or structure

God said, “Let there be a dome in the middle of the water; let it divide the water from the water.” 7 God made the dome and divided the water under the dome from the water above the dome;

Genesis indicates the surface of the earth is both in the shape of a round roof both under the water and above the water.

which implies the bottom of the earth is the same shape as the top of the earth, a dome is also a half a sphere..

That God indicates is both under and above, making it a full sphere.

anyhow since the flat earth seems to be not about banter and something that is important to some people I'm not going to
discuss this further.

As my dragon friends say in the lions den.

I haven't read this whole thread so this may have been mentioned but it does say in Ecclesiastes that the sun follows its circuits.

yeah another great scientific point in the bible that spears scientists on ☺️.

The sun certainly does follow a circuit, it's been proven by scientists.

It's just a shame science is closed for proving the earth is a sphere.

Regards.

5 The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose.
6 The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits.

that's comes from argumentative conspiracy theorists marking people who don't believe as they do with the mark of the beast.

Yeah outstanding that one 👍
I do recall the verse that reads, "He who believes that the earth is flat shall be saved"... so maybe we're missing something.

In the Bible, 'planet' means 'wondering star'. That is enough for me to know what it means - a 'planet' is actually a star.
Consider for a moment the technical capability of the people who penned the Scriptures. Would they have been able to ascertain that a planet is fundamentally distinct in nature from a star? Probably not. Generally, God did not give 21st-century knowledge to the ancient peoples. They would have perceived a planet as a bright spot (‘star’) that moves differently than other bright slots do. If you want to believe that is because it is actually a star, that’s fine, but don’t expect others to join you.

It depends on who you believe inspired the bible. If God, then of course He knew how His creation worked. If man, then you have a bigger problem than just Heliocentric theory.

Yes, of course God knew how His creation worked, but that doesn't mean He imparted technical knowledge beyond the ancient writers' discovery. The Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit, but written by humans.

So you believe God dumbed down the scriptures for ancient writers? Or you believe ancient writers didn't properly understand God when He inspired them, and they scribed inaccurately?
