God is Reproducing His Family -- Himself Indeed, God IS reproducing Himself -- through His Son, Jesus Christ the Messiah! God the Father and the Logos made mankind "in their image," after their own "likeness" -- in effect, after their own "KIND" of being! That is their ultimate intention. But, for now, we are created out of the dust of the ground, physical, flesh and blood human beings, capable of death. We are now being "tested," to see if we love God with all our hearts and mind, and whether we are willing to OBEY His commandments and never go astray! God is going to continue the process of reproducing Himself, as the Fountain of Life, as the Source, expanding His Kingdom and multiplying His children, grand children, and great-great grandchildren, for all eternity.

Interestingly, the word for increase in Isaiah 9:7, marbiyth, begins with the Hebrew letter "mem." But this is the only word in the Hebrew Old Testament text that begins with a "mem" which violates the laws of Hebrew grammar -- that is, in this case the first letter of the word, the "mem," is a CLOSED MEM! In all other words where a "mem" is at the beginning or middle of a word, it is always an "open mem." According to rabbinical exegesis, the "mem" symbolizes the "womb" of a woman. Why then did God inspire this particular word to have a CLOSED MEM in its construction? This strange anomaly of Scripture tells us first of all, that the Messiah would be born of a VIRGIN -- A WOMAN WITH A "CLOSED WOMB"! The "increase" of God's Kingdom, then, would be accomplished MIRACULOUSLY -- supernaturally -- by God's divine POWER, the Holy Spirit (see Luke 1:30-35).

This unusual fact also tells us that ALL the "increase" in the Family and Kingdom of God would come through Christ, the Messiah! The increase of God's Kingdom is accomplished miraculously, by divine power -- acting upon the "closed mem." All the increase must come through Jesus Christ, the Messiah born of the human virgin. He is the "first begotten" and He is the "only begotten" of God in that special way (John 1:14; Col.1:15). Therefore, the "mem" is closed. However, through Him the family of God will continue to "increase" -- 23 FOREVER! The pattern has been set. The template has been perfected. And now it but remains for the rest of us to "get on board," and get with the process, and repent of our sins and short-comings, turn to God, accept Christ as our Saviour, and receive His Holy Spirit (Acts 2:28; 5:32).

And then we must overcome, and endure to the end, serving and obeying God and keeping His commandments, growing in love and the fruits of His Spirit (Gal.5:22-23), till the process is perfected, until we reach "ripeness" and spiritual "maturity" so we are ready to be "harvested" into God's Kingdom! Reproduction of the family of God both begins and ends IN CHRIST! The "mem" is closed, meaning not only was He born of a virgin, with a closed womb, but that none other will be born of God in exactly the same way He was -- begotten of the Spirit of God the Father in the womb of a woman (compare Isaiah 7:14 and Matthew 1:18-23).

All others must come to God through Him! He alone is the Saviour, whose name is YESHUA (Matt.1:20-21). "He shall save his people from their sins" (same verse). "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). Jesus said, "I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me, if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that more abundantly" (John 10:7-10). Jesus alone is Saviour and Redeemer. As Peter and John announced in the book of Acts, "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). Are you ready to get to know the one and only Messiah?

Love, Walter and Debbie

For with Him were always present the Word and Wisdom, the Son and the Spirit, by whom and in whom, freely and spontaneously, He made all things, to whom also He speaks, saying , “Let Us make man after Our image and likeness;” He taking from Himself the substance of the creatures [formed], and the pattern of things made, and the type of all the adornments in the world.
Ireneaus a.d. 120–202 Against Heresies Book IV Chapter XX
Ireneaus explains what the above quote means. The Father is a Spirit and His Son is full of the Father's Spirit. Making man in their image simply means filling them with the Father's Spirit. The creatures formed are Adam and Eve. They both received the Spirit of the Father. That is why they were able to communicate with God. The pattern of things made are the decendants of Adam and Eve that receive the Spirit of the Father and of the Son and will include people from all walks of life in human history. What do you think is meant by creating man after their image? This would also explain that not all man were created in the image of God. Cain was not. Adam and Eve were the first man and woman created in God's image. They were not necessarily the first man and woman. This would also give an answer to those who ask if Cain married his sister.

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭3:38‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; and hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; that they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: for in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭17:24-28, 30-31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭2:9-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:16-17, 28-30‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Truly God is creating his eternal family for his eternal home with them

“And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:3-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

All who receive the Father's Holy Spirit become part of the body of Christ, and become children of God just as Christ is the Son of God. We also receive the Spirit of Christ because both Spirits reside in our hearts. This Spirit was given to Christ when He went back to the Father to get glorified (filled with the Father's Spirit) so that Christ can distribute (baptism in the name of the Holy Spirit) it to those chosen by the Father (baptism in the name of the Father) who grants the repentance deep enough for the person to turn to the Father for forgiveness and to Christ (baptism in the name of the Son) to get his sins erased. When a person becomes the temple of the Holy Spirit, He becomes a new person (born again) with a new heart full of love for God and man. He becomes One with the Father and Son. His motivation changes from self to the desire to please God by getting to know Him and doing His will. When every thought and action is motivated by love for God and man, we are obeying the Spirit of the Law (God judges the heart). Those who depend on being accepted by obeying the Letter of the Law will be judged by the Law. Again, Adam and Eve were the first man and woman to receive the Father's Holy Spirit. Prophets and holy man of God in the old testament were able to communicate with God through His Holy Spirit and through dreams. Adam and Eve being able to communicate with God means that they were filled with the Father's Spirit. They are the parents of all who receive the Father's Spirit of life throughout human history because they were the first ones created in the image of God by receiving His Holy Spirit. This answers the question of who did Cain marry when He was kicked out. There were other humans who were not created in God's image.

Created in God's image can't possibly mean physical image. It has to do with something spiritual.

Think about how different man is from all the animals how man has thought and reason and morality and beasts are driven by the lusts of thier flesh the basic necessities for physical sirvival rather than a spiritual existence necassary for eternal life

it’s words , thought rwason choice morality freedom and dominion discernment ect that makes man reflect the image of God our ways and works and deeds we can also reflect the image of Satan in our ways and morality and choices and thought ect

“Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭3:7-8, 10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

aid we lie and cheat and steal and harm and are selfish we aren’t reflecting Gods image but satans

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:44‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The likeness and image of God “ is a reference to his children reflecting his morality and character and ways of goodness mercy and truth in the earth

abut we can also serve the devil on earth and shine his image to the world instead of Christs found in the gospel man is free like God to choose

Yet scriptire says he became the image of man on the flesh Jesus looked like us for a time though even when transfigured he still appeared as a man just a bright man shining linens and a face like the sun

a when he took form it was our form and when people afore saw him in prophecy on his throne he appeared tonthier eyes as someone like a son of man on a throne

when he is walking among us I believe he’s going to look like us but we’ll look like him glorified

No one knows how we will look except that we shall be just as He is, not He, rather, as He is.

God is Reproducing His Family -- Himself Indeed, God IS reproducing Himself -- through His Son, Jesus Christ the Messiah! God the Father and the Logos made mankind "in their image," after their own "likeness" -- in effect, after their own "KIND" of being!
hi, Walter and Debbie :)

i'm learning in my old age (finally!) to be more careful in use of language, and so in love i caution that we will never be a being of the same KIND as God. He is creating image bearers, it is true, but we'll never be the same kind of being God is. He is unique. we can look forward to having the same character in terms of holiness, and that's huge and wonderful!

thanks for reading :)
