Fundaamental,

don't let me persuade you of anything. i am attempting to present fact, logic, and reason. that means i am biased. but, it also means id die with this answer as my answer. entertain the fact that the way the earth spins and its placement in proximate to the sun and moon and other planets including stars. gravity, inertia, magneticism and electromagnetics, quantum physics...once you remove that < it would be impossible for them to even Exist. they would just vanish, disappear. that is your Foundations.

remove all of space and all of the Laws/Foundations disappear.

so, WHO, is sustaining Earth?

God, not some second rate Law!

ok well part of my mathematic degree also includes geometry,

But I don't want to say I'm brighter than you.

And this is not about proving who has a better intellect.

But a simple explanations is the lord said in the begining the lord created the heavens and the earth.

The two are separate.

Heaven referred to the stars in this meaning, our sun is a star.

But also heaven is defined as eternal.

I cant see God completely destroying is heaven.

Since heaven is defined as eternal then it stands to reason there would be some eternals aspects to the stars.

why would God create His Own Home same day as Earth and the Angels have time to Fall and get kicked out?

Clearly, God's Eternal Home is created before Genesis 1:1 happened!
so the Heavens in Genesis 1:1 mean Space down to our own Atmosphere.

earth is created from Something that is eternal to is it not ?. God

Wouldn't it stand to reason there would be something in the earth that is eternal that maintains the earth.) Such as all the elements of the foundations and some of those elements being indestructible.

this is not intended to be offensive, but it reminds me of something i discovered long time ago.
do you smoke hemp?
read your Bible stoned?

cv5,

to the information you have provided, very well done!

also, it's why i stick with the current version of the Torah/Tanakh.

Tradition shows us, that even when the Temple was destroyed in 70 AD and all in it stolen [Ark of the Covenant with the Torah/Tanakh sitting in the Holy of Hollies]...the Rabbi's had no worries because in EVERY JEWISH SYNAGOGUE sits a perfectly preserved copy of the Torah/Tanakh.

so we know the Torah/Tanakh we, at least that I am using, can be traced back to the Synagogues and Temple of 70 AD + all the way back to when Moses penned them.
Good. Please provide a link to exactly what you are using and I will take a look and see if it has been corrupted with Masoretic error.

God Created, but the Image of God He specifically Created, human, was designed to always be overseer. God, or His Image, is always intended to be in Control.

Hey "The Watchers,"

I don't know about other people here... I'm new, but one thing that I am beginning to learn as I get older, its that I hold onto the core things tight and I hold some of this periphery stuff loosely. I kind of wish there was an emoji option that was a little hill of beans to indicate that some of these things that we're arguing about don't amount to a hill of beans.

I might have my opinion about the age of the earth, but what difference does it make? Don't get me wrong, It's fine to talk about this stuff, it's just not worth the argument. IMO : )

The story of man = 6000 years
Earth = maybe longer

Genesis 1:1-3 KJV
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

“I suggest that what God created in the beginning, was not without form, void and dark.”

[2] And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
[3] And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Job 38:4-7 KJV
Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
[5] Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
[6] Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
[7] When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

The Archbishop Ussher/Masoretic proposition is.....utterly wrong.

The accurate LXX Septuagint must be used.

Archbishop Ussher: Flood of Noah ended 2348 BC......preposterous and incorrect.
Barry Setterfield using the LXX Septuagint: Abraham born 2322 BC......spot on and precisely correct.

Do you perceive a problem here......? Yes, there is a mere 26 years difference.

I am happy for you!

I tend to only respond when something comes along that doesn't match meaning to Scripture. And then I take the time to ask enough questions to help me understand. And if the answers are even better than what caught my attention, then it's about getting to the roots of how someone could view it their way.

you do realize mazoretic texts only refer to the Old Testaments of English Bibles with both OT/NT, and the yiddish Bibles created for Messianic Jews?

you won't find that in the Torah/Tanakh.

maz texts refer to God as :

8 When Elyon gave nations their heritage,
when He separated the sons of man,
He set boundaries for the people
by the number of sons of Elyon.
9 But Adonai’s portion is His people—
Jacob is the share of His inheritance.

or

8 The Most High assigned nations their lands;
he determined where peoples should live.
He assigned to each nation a heavenly being,
9 but Jacob's descendants he chose for himself.

but the Torah uses :

הוה = (to be)

that (to be), is Moses' Special Name, since Elohim, gave it to Him.

All that I need is a link to an online text.

Yeah, i was following along with what you introduced 13 pages ago.
ok well you've also had numerous other reasons as to why the earth could be older not just mine
But I'm not going to repeat them.

Your main point of reasoning for your bias has been your online source of information for the tora/tanakh translations
Could you provide a link for where your getting your translations.

And why would you dismiss new testament texts in favour of the Hebrew cannon.

If anything a lot of Christians feel the old testament leaves them with a lot more questions than the new testament.
