the heavens refers to a spiritual light
The foundations of the earth refers to a physical substance
God could easily create light from light in the blink of an eye seeing as he is light.
And also earth from a foundation.
But creating the foundation to last for as long as it has may well be a different process, that's all I'm saying, just making a suggestion.
The begining of earth being created was not the beginning of God, as God is forever.
The heavens can also relates to the stars that surround the earth.
But the heaven of God was allready there on day one no doubt which could include a load more stars, which produce steal copper lead nicol gold uranium silver, sapphires etc.
All of which could have been forged in fire for billions of years known as the foundations of the earth

and the rest of the chapters describe like Treasuries of gold, silver, platinum, fine gems and materials. Plus one section included rain, snow, ice, hail, sleet, wind.
If by chance, you have never read Enoch before, how did you format these ideas?

What happened to all the folks that lived and died before Jesus took the place of the sacrificial offerings? Were they not covered because of the offerings?

Enoch, the Book, is not in the Bible.
Parts of Enoch are Inspire by God, but the portions I quoted and you Affirmed are deemed more "Fairy Tale."
Now, given that I know the history of Enoch, it was considered one of the Oral Books between the First Temple Solomon built and the Second destroyed in 70 AD. They are the reasons why the other parts are Canon. Personally, I like it all. But i know only a portion is Inspired.

I know who Elisha was but Enoch only rang a bell when you posted it.
I recalled something about Enoch walking with a God for a long time. But that was it.

and inherit a seat of honor.
For the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s,
and on them he has set the world.
So we see again something in the earth being separate to the earth world
.The pillars could be made from diamonds which are known to be forever possible created in heaven too first befor the earth was created.
hang on a minute you've posted a passage from Enoch and me think it was in the bible.
You didn't even say it was the book of Enoch and now your saying I'm using deception for believing you wow.

I do believe that God created adult creatures that could reproduce from the start. However I would reconsider the theory that He created things that coincide with the evolutionary dating methods. Many pastors vere from biblical AND true science by teaching a compromise of integrating science falsely so called. I used to follow one.
The time theories of radiometric dating, fossils age measured by stratas, etc are all falsehoods. I did a research paper at WVU on radiometric dating methods. The entire field is based upon faulty presumptions. The last time I checked, the anthropology department displayed reproduction casts of human remains that were debunked as faulty or hoaxes by secular evolutionary colleges decades prior. The text book publishers and professors still teach them as facts though.

So I wasn't setting you up. I was trying to learn how you were quoting Enoch. You were quoting Enoch without knowing you were, is how I assume must have happened.
Some years ago, I spent two and a half years studying this very subject, however, before I sat down to do any studying any day, I spent many hours in prayer earlier in that day.
I didn't just look at Genesis chapters 1-3, but every Scripture in the Bible on that subject or had any relevance to it.
I came to the conclusion that the universe is not young, but very old, around 14 billions years, and the earth around 4.6 billion years old.
This is my personal opinion based on the prayer and studying that I did.

The point is the supposed "generic men/women" would be sinless, as sin came through Adam. Why then would they be subject to dying in the flood?

Both scripture clearly point to the foundations of the earth
Being a separate creation to the earth.
Samuel points toward the foundations being created in heaven.
And there's no way of knowing how old those foundations are.
Those foundation could well have been created in heaven and even and forged in fire for billions of years.
The scripture you posted about Enoch also points in the same direction.
However since that book is not in the bible which you knew befor posting it.
Enoch could not be used for validation.
However you said your quoting from Enoch at first.
You should have said the book of Enoch.
There's a person in the bible called Enoch who is described as walking with God, So who is he I can't find much on him.

But if Enoch and Samuel and job both indicate the same thing then surely Enoch must have some credibility.
There are things in this world God has not explained to us. If he thought it was critical for us to know these things he would have told them to us. However one of the issues being discussed is not a major point for discussion. God has already made known to us clearly what the answer is. God was particular to mention that when he finished creating certain things, the day would end and there would be darkness then light again, then he would create, then there would be darkness and light again. God is explaining the setting and rising of the sun. Although the explanation is more simplistic than the reality taking place , God has explained it to us in a way that a simple man can understand.
