The elders/pastors lay hands (in oneness with the church) on the heads (individually) of those who are newly saved and baptised. (The inward work is already done by the Holy Spirit) This is an outward testimony that God has added these souls to His Church.
The elders pray over each one of them, and mention one or more (Holy Bible) scriptures that God has put in their mouth, in regards to “the gift that is in” them, not actually knowing but by the Holy Spirit speaking through them. (Not Pentecostalism)
1 Timothy 4:14 KJV
Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
Revelation 1:3 KJV
Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
Revelation 19:10 KJV
And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
