I can't believe how hysterical people are getting over a simple tv show. But like I said, it was the same with the Shack. People were acting like they were part of the production crew. smh Don't understand it.

Who is getting hysterical? You have a tendency to over reaction, but you should not project that onto everyone else. Some are supportive of people being lead to Christ through this series, and we are being told we are standing with perverts because of it, and having all manner of sin levelled at us, falsely accused, the usual. LOL. And those who have been telling blatant lies refuse to cop to it, as per usual. A few are supportive of Dallas Jenkins, also. So far I have been giving him the benefit of any doubt, as he tries to manage the unmanageable with this media storm over a rainbow flag that seems to have been fuelled largely by Christians.

I think it is more like being triggered, needing a safe space, seeing opinions and words as hateful.

When someone or something you like is exposed and you cannot deal with the fact you have been fooled
tends to be the reaction, people often double down, however sometimes people wisen up, depends on if they can be objective and are willing to look at all sides of the issue. (Disclaimer: may or may not apply here, not sure)

I don't know about you or anyone else but I'm not upset. For me it's about a lot more than a "stupid TV show"; it's about truth. I suppose you're happy to go along to get along. If so that's fine for you. I'm not made that way.

I have been engaged in this conversation here and in other threads over a longer period time than this thread has been in existence, the count goes up, you are new to it and are unaware of things people said or how anyone has countered them. Don't know him, can't say either way. This is pride month and every company is pushing this agenda. Yes, Christians are upset over it. The WH put the pride flag in place of the American flag and transgenders exposed their "chests" in a WH celebration. So yes, this is a touchy subject, yes, people are upset and are pushing back. It's as simple as this, people will either continue to support the show or turn it off. And not one person in this thread can do one thing about it. So why all the nastiness?!

I understand what you are saying, but I do think the real concern is the flag on the set and the director's weak justification, not the person but they flag and what it represents.
Anyone who is working and living in the real world where woke is the agenda understands the significance and why it is very problematic for a show which proclaims it is showcasing the "authentic" Jesus which is crowd funded by Christians.

If you are going to take money from Christians there should be some line drawn concerning a symbol taken from scripture and used to promote a lifestyle in contradiction to scripture.
Many Christians feel betrayed because on some level they deserve a "safe space" from worldly influences.

Right, which was why I brought up Cracker Barrel, who are holding on by the skin of their teeth in my state at least, and Dollar Tree, Target, all trying to be woke and ignoring their biggest supporters. And I don't see anything that makes this case any different. People will speak one way or the other. They will either believe what the director is saying, or be offended and walk away. People are seeing they do have say and they are using their support or taking it away to make themselves heard. I have no interest in watching the show, but others may keep it on air. That's the great thing, we don't like in CC world, we all have freedom of choice, at least for now.

Well then you and I have the same experience with RA. According to RA being Pentecostal is akin to Satanism. Now he would probably deny saying that outright. But that was our first go round at CC. I don't see the one who was banned as coming back again. I would, in fact, be quite surprised.
