otherwise, it would then be by our works not Christ's. However, as we have been so informed by the Bible, we can't be saved by any of our works.
Scripture plainly tells us that faith is not works:

Romans 4:

2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.

3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.

5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Romans 4:3 tells us righteousness is imputed when a person believes.

Romans 4:4-5 tell us faith is not works.

Correct. We were not saved by our faith; we were saved because of Christ's faith(fulness)and obedience to the mission the Father gave to Him - we cannot become saved by anything that we may do (or not do). Salvation is given completely and solely as a gift from God. Everything that pertains to it including our faith accompanies it, otherwise, it would then be by our works not Christ's.
Thats correct, Salvation is 100% conditioned on Christs Obedience unto Death Rom 5:19

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

That obedience can be said to be His Faithfulness.

Yes, brightfame52 ... Messiah ... the Lord Jesus Christ ... is "Gods Only Elect".

all others are "elect" ... small "e".

You refer to the subgroup of humanity you deem as "elect" in the same manner you should refer only to the Lord Jesus Christ, thereby raising yourself (because you consider yourself as "elect") to the same level as the Lord Jesus Christ. Here is what you do, have done, and hopefully will not do again:

I said in Post 3502:

the "Elect of God" is the Lord Jesus Christ.

You replied in Post 3506

And those Chosen in Him before the foundation Eph 1:4

thereby raising "those Chosen in Him" to the same position as the Lord Jesus Christ. You even capitalized the word "Chosen" ... just as you capitalize the word "Elect" when referring to descendants of Adam. In doing so, you exalt humanity to the same position as the Lord Jesus Christ.

I have explained this to you before, and you reject the truth.

The Lord Jesus Christ has been given a name which is above every name ... not only in this world but also in that which is to come. Your "elect" folks will never occupy the same position as the Lord Jesus Christ, not in this world ... nor in that which is to come:

Ephesians 1:18-21 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come

newsflash, brightfame52 ... your erroneous dogma is not "the Gospel !"
.
My dogma is that Christs Death saved everyone He died for 1 Pet 2:24-25

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

Which dogma you deny, which is unbelief !

False Christ isn't Gods Only Elect !
yes, brightfame52, He is ...

Isaiah 42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect [adjective, masculine, singular], in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

the term "mine elect" is singular ... referring to Messiah alone ... the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ quoted Isaiah 42:1-5 in Matt 12:16-21:

Matthew 12:14-21 Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him. But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all; And charged them that they should not make him known: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles. He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets. A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory. And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.

The Lord Jesus Christ has been given a name which is above every name:

Philippians 2:

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

When are you going to bow your knee to the Lord Jesus Christ ???

My dogma is that Christs Death saved everyone He died for
John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

you are hostile to the Gospel !
nope ... your futile attempts to pass off your erroneous dogma as "the Gospel" fails when scrutinized under the lens of Scripture.

God's Word:

Romans 1:16-17 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it [the gospel of Christ] is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein [the gospel of Christ] is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Christs Election is as the Head of His Body
the Lord Jesus Christ is the Head over all things and He alone is preeminent:

Colossians 1:17-19 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell

the born again believer is not the Head ... the born again believer is a member of the body ... placed within the body of the Lord Jesus Christ as it has pleased the Father:

1 Corinthians 12:18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

And it has pleased the Father to place the Lord Jesus Christ as Head of the body ... the Father has highly exalted Him ... the Lord Jesus Christ has been given a name which is above every name ...

Philippians 2:9-11 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
