I know for me and my kids, seeing how people lived in that time and watching the stories come to life has made it more real to them. I find it strange that this aspect is being deemed "wrong".
What I find truly Hypocritical, many of the People, who are ripping on the Chosen, from the Conservative Christians, over some ad-libbing, still hold Extreme Precious Value to Mel Gibson's movie, the "Passion of the Christ."
That is full of CATHOLIC SCENES, like, where Mary is being tortured by Satan during the beating of Christ, and many other Catholic beliefs.

Seriously, some of these Tools, need to be beaten with a baseball bat!

No one who loves The Chosen will ever be convinced by arguments because they're already compromised. They've already turned away from listening to the truth; so debating them is a pointless waste of time. Even debating this gives it credence, like it's actually worth debating.

There again, why do I have to "LOVE" the Chosen, to debate for it, when your views alone, are enough to question?

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables." 2 Timothy 4:3-4

39 But the Lord said to him, “You Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and plate, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness.
46 Then Yeshua said, “Woe to you Torah lawyers as well, for you weigh the people down with burdens hard to carry, yet you yourselves will not touch the burdens with even a finger.

Never said you should not pray for them. I pray for them. But as far as them being part of the set and promoting their sin to everyone on the set. NO that is not right. It is not OK.

When the Church allows compromised Christian leaders to explain away sin, compromise truth, and sin with impunity, we exchange truth for lies. We become no better than idolaters, people whose credulous adoration of compromised leaders fulfill what Paul calls exchanging "the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man . . . exchanging the truth of God for a lie" (Romans 1:22, 25).
you are back tracking finding middle ground

The Passion of the Christ and The Gospel According to Matthew; now there are two great films. Say what you will about them, their primary purpose isn't to entertain or make people feel good, but to transmit the truth of the gospel.

If one good thing has come out of this, it's that now there's no doubt The Chosen, Inc. is a for-profit corporation, not a ministry at all. See video starting at 7:07.

I will literate something he does mention, it's TYPICALLY, little whiny cry babies [my term], who are balling their eyes out over this. You know, the kind of people, WHO need God more than others, because, they are such a "WUSS" and have been treated as such for most of their lives. Sometimes, when peeps are mistreated by the regular folk, they run and hide on the reservation.

People can intend things for evil and God still use them good.

I wondered the same. It seems some cannot see both sides or more than one side of an issue.
Acknowledging that this series is leading many to re-evaluate their views and even having some
come to a saving faith as a result seems like too much to ask as a reason to appreciate what this
show is accomplishing. One does not have to love the show in order to realize this.

Season one was on Netflix. Funny thing: when I started watching it the first time, I did not get very
far in, because when I saw it was not holding strictly to a Biblical narrative, I turned it off. But after
seeing what some were saying about it, I revisited it, and watched the rest of what was available,
first on Netflix (season one only), and then going to https://watch.angelstudios.com/ to view the rest.

But we as people do not need to support what is meant for evil.
We as a people should be led by the Spirit. And I never said anything about supporting evil. I'm not advocating selling Joseph into slavery. I'm advocating making lemonade.

I agree with him.
I know where I work, most of the men, have naked women all over their toolboxes, and i have a Bible.
Jenkins, said, he does not stand for Pride, believe in it, nor would support it, but as a General Company Policy, it's held like normal companies are, within the Law of the Land.

I never said you did say anything about supporting evil, my point is even if God can use something for good, whatever it may be, it does not mean we can still support it.
