repent is second person plural - in other words peter is speaking to everyone

be baptized is third person singular. so peter is not talking to everyone.

so this in itself is enough to show an error in the english text

I will only say that there is a good possibility that "water" in John 3:5 is speaking of baptism.

And if it is, then in teaching that it doesn't, you are deterring people from doing what might save them...

If it meant baptism, Jesus would have said whoever believes and is baptised will never perish, but has eternal life.

And he would have said whoever believes and is baptised is not condemned, Whoever does not believe, or whoever believes but does not get baptised is condemned already

A good possibility is a false concept. Because Jesus proves in what he said later it is not true at all

the word baptism in the greek does not mean water.. Water is one of the many things in which one can be baptized into. But it is not the meaning

Romans 6:1-4 teaches us that if we are baptized we will "walk in newness of life"; and 1 Peter 3:20-21 tells us that "baptism doth also now save us".

What part of these things don't you understand?

Romans 6 has nothing to do with water baptism. It is spirit baptism.

The spirit baptizes us into Christ, He death and his burial. no water involved
