Oh it does answer. Frankly, you are not saved if you think water saved you.
To say that the shed blood of Jesus is a generality is beyond belief and indicative of a person who both lacks respect and any sort of actual knowledge of salvation.
If you actually believe water has saved you, as you seem to indicate, you are not saved.
“For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.” (Leviticus 17:11)
“Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. “ (Romans 5:9)
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” (Ephesians 1:7)
“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” (Ephesians 2:13)
“Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. “ (Romans 5:9)
“Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.” (1 Peter 1:18-19)
“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” (I John 1:7)
“…and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood and has made us kings[ and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” (Revelation 1:5)
From the old to the new testament, the answer to salvation is found only in blood.
You have obviously not yet understood that you have no forgiveness of sin unless you accept God's solution to your sin problem and that, is the blood of Christ shed on your behalf.
Now if you continue to say you are saved by water, you are deliberately and willfully CHOOSING to deny what scripture plainly and mercifully teaches us. That would indicate that somewhere along the line you may have been been exposed to the truth, refused it and your heart has been hardened.
I do not particularly care if you so choose, but the thing that is evil that you and others do regarding the blood of Christ, ignoring scripture and in your pride substituting your own works as salvation, is leading new Christians into a cult that does not save and never will.
I do not consider water baptism a work, but rather obedience to what scripture indicates we should do....Jesus Himself was baptized in water. However, you insult the finished work of Christ on the cross...He said 'IT IS FINISHED'....with your lies concerning water regeneration. This, is not found in scripture.
I have no expectations that you will admit your error and concede to the false belief that water saves anyone. As you and others seem to be so fond of saying, 'your argument is not with me; it is with God.'

Hi Niki7,
I read through your thoughts on baptism and I saw that you do believe a person should be baptized after he is saved. Could you please give me the scriptures that give a purpose for being baptized once a person is saved? I would really appreciate it.
God bless you,
Wayne
