Salvation has only, and will only, be by grace through faith. The works spoken of are those that attend true salvation and are the result of the indwelling Spirit working in and changing the believer...Galat5:22-23.
Matthew 25 is concerning entrance into the earthly kingdom of Jesus, not eternal salvation.

So, what is your definition/meaning of Jesus' grace? What does grace mean? This is what it means to me.

Grace is divine help and strength that we receive through the atonement of Jesus Christ. Through grace, we are saved from sin and death. In addition, grace is an enabling power that strengthens us from day to day and helps us endure to the end. Effort is required on our part to receive the fulness of the Lord’s grace.

Yes, we are saved through Jesus' grace. And He gives us the criteria through which He will save us in the "Judgement of Nations".

If you disagree with my meaning/definition of ' Jesus' grace' tell me your definition.

Also, my defination of faith in Jesus is believing all that He taught and all that He taught us to do. That is true faith to me.

If you disagree with my meaning/definition of faith in Jesus, then please share your understanding of faith.
Grace is simply unmerited favor. In terms of salvation, it is an action on God's part to bring us into relationship with Himself based solely on His sovereign desire. That is, He is not responding to anything in us as the impetus for His action.
Faith is simply a vehicle whereby the grace is made known. That is why salvation must include the word of God...faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

The Christian faith does include all that Jesus taught as well as what is taught throughout the NT. But even well-seasoned Christians don't know all that is entailed. New converts know enough to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. They will spend a lifetime learning the faith.

The kingdom of God is wherever God rules. It was spoken of by Jesus and ushered in at Pentecost.

Yes, but the kingdom of heaven is the earthly kingdom when Jesus reigns 1,000 years in Jerusalem on the throne of David.

I get that this is how you understand it. I view it differently. But be careful, your explanation has fallen man relying on himself and not Christ for his salvation.

How? Matthew 25, the verses of discussion, are not about eternal salvation, but rather entrance into the earthly kingdom.

I see. But verse 46 seems to suggest otherwise.

IMO Yes-From the Abomination to end of bowl jUdgements?
I was referring to the final rebellion at the end of the Millennium. I was wondering how close it would be to the end of the Millennium.

Matthew 25 is concerning entrance into the earthly kingdom of Jesus, not eternal salvation.
You couldn't be more wrong in your view of Matthew 25. Jesus is making his final judgement on who goes to heaven and who gets damned for all eternity. Not speaking of any earthly kingdom!!!!!!!

Excerpt from Matthew 25 (It would be best if you read and studied all of Matthew 25, with the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit)

Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.............He will answer them, ‘Amen, I say to you, what you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not do for me.’ And these will go off to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

Jesus is speaking of eternal salvation or damnation. There's nothing in this reading that has to do with any earthly kingdom!

The Judgment of the Nations
31 “When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate them one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, 33 and he will place the sheep at his right hand, but the goats at the left. 34 Then the King will say to those at his right hand, ‘Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; 35 for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see thee hungry and feed thee, or thirsty and give thee drink? 38 And when did we see thee a stranger and welcome thee, or naked and clothe thee? 39 And when did we see thee sick or in prison and visit thee?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.’ 41 Then he will say to those at his left hand, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels; 42 for I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ 44 Then they also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see thee hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to thee?’ 45 Then he will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me.’ 46 And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
there’s a difference in what some say “ grace and faith is “

Gods grace saved us like this by teaching us to repent from the deeds of sin and to live upright lives while we wait for Jesus who did what he did to purge out the iniquity in all of us to some degree

the grace of God that saves

“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, ( repent )we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;(upright living )

looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and Saviour Jesus Christ;

who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.”
‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:11-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

you have perversion also that peaoplr teach about grace that’s not of God that says “ it doesn’t matter if you repent or not your saved it doesn’t matter what you do “ what that becomes is lasciviousness ( a moral liscense to sin freely without consequence )

“For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.”
‭‭Jude‬ ‭1:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

theres two types of grace mentioned in the Bible one is of God and it teaches us the truth about eternal life. It teaches us the truth about sin and death , the kingdom of God , it teaches us the truth about man and God and thoer relationship

Anytime someone removes repentance and obedience to the word of Christ Jesus

by our words and deeds it’s actually not grace through faith Gods grace teaches us those things and saves us

it’s that distortion of grace that tries to omit the part about repentance and righteousness

the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts,

we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;”

When jesus came and started teaching the people that is what grace is and where it came from it has the power to actually change sins dominion over us and set us free from its grasp upon man

the other grace that so many preach this unconditional word grace where you “don’t need to hear and believe what God our savior said about salvation in the gospel he sent to all creatures of the world and faith means never having to do anything God said to do “

thats not grace and faith it’s a lie of Satan who wants to get believers away from the grace and truth of God that saves souls from sin and death

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth.

And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:14, 16-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:31-32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

maid say your answer is not that anything changes but that people don’t ever learn about Gods grace in the Bible instead we take a word grace and try to create an alternative path than what God offered which is his grace that teaches us to repent and live right before it’s too late while we wait for Jesus return

Faith in Jesus is believing 'ALL' that He taught us and 'ALL' that He taught us to do. And, through/with the help of His grace we can do all that he taught us to do.

Yes brother in other words

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:13‬ ‭

remember though when a child is young what they are told to do and thoer responsabilities aren’t the same as when they are grown

what I mean is we grow into a fuller and better manifestation as we persevere we don’t just say “I believe and now we’re going to be perfect “ there’s a change that happens over lifetime from glory to glory and from faith to faith

The gospel is powerful and also gentle to us as we learn some we persevere and are made a little stronger little freer later we learn more ect God doesn’t overwhelm us he opens our understsnding up as we are able to grasp it and handle it

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭1:16-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That word “revealed “ is perfect as we hear and believe and learn and walk in the gospel it’s slowly being revealed more and more as we can handle it

John146 and oyster67 --- I found it enjoyable to engage in a knowledgeable conversation with you. TY. Now for the rest of the story.

The church will go thru a rapture/resurrection before the Tribulation.

Just as everyone who enters the Tribulation in the Seal Judgements are unrighteous sinners, but salvation by grace thru faith is still in effect.

Just as the Lord will give the church an escape before the Tribulation, He will do the same for those inside the Tribulation to escape the bowl judgements.

On the 1335th day of the Tribulation which the prophet Daniel calls the Blessed Day ( Dan 12:12 ), will be another rapture/resurrection. This will be the final reaping of the earth of the tribulation saints before the bowl judgements.

Rev 14:15 “Put in your sickle, and reap, for the hour to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is fully ripe.” 16 So he who sat upon the cloud swung his sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.

Now, The sixth day end at this point after 6000 years on the 1335th day, The timetable given to prophet Daniel for Israel and the antichrist is not the same timetable the Lord has for himself. More than 3 years of the Day of the Lord is inside the Tribulation.

The Day of the Lord begins at the 1335th day, that leaves 1185 days left for the Tribulation. Some of the few living who are left will be rewarded by becoming sheep and entrance to the kingdom is because of works.

Salvation by grace thru faith ends ends on the 1335th day.

There is no resurrection when the Lord returns at end of the Tribulation

mmm I was Catholic for the first 19 years of my life and I never heard anyone denying Jesus' 1000-year reign on earth.
The only Amillennial & Preterist views I've encountered are among Christians from small, splintered protestant groups.

People are constantly pontificating (he he) about Catholics on this site. It does wear thin. Bearly a thread goes by without someone blaming Catholics for something. Make that anything & everything. It can be quite entertaining when 2 are arguing and both are blaming Catholics for the other's proposed false beliefs.
I was a bigger Catholic than you see

Nobody spoke about the Millennium full stop

Nobody believed in it.

I do warn against Catholic doctrines but I am not a hater, I first heard the name of Jesus, heard the gospel readings, went to Catholic schools. Why would I hate them. moreover I believe many, many Catholics are saved even though they are steeped in Catholic doctrines.

It just was the Catholics, Eusebius in particular who decided to let the Millennial teaching go, i.e stop teaching it. Instead they promoted Augustines teachings which were Amillennial.

And you must be honest the Catholic Church is responsible for some pretty awful doctrines.

Yes. Today we know that the Church was raptured only seven years earlier and are newlyweds which shall return with Him at His Second Coming. According to your theory, the RCC put the Rapture 1000 years to early, and many today put the Rapture 7 years too late. We agree that Christ returns down from Heaven with His already glorified and married Church.
We do agree on that :).

Why dost thou make the boo boo over 7 years? because Amillennialism totally cuts the Jews outa the equations. They Jews are cut off forever. Amill teaching introduced the Replacement theology.

But if you put the Jews back into the picture, converted to Christ in the last days you can see that THEY are the ones who will reign ON EARTH with Christ while we the church Jew and Gentile after the great wedding and feast reign with Him in Heaven.

Peace bro.

Continuation of thread #55. The 1335th day of the tribulation will be Pentecost. Prophet Joel said Great and Terrible but Apostle Peter changed this scripture to say Great and Glorius concerning the Day of the Lord. For some it will be Terrible, for the righteous it will be Glorious.

Hi Cameron, If I may, can I ask you four questions:
1. What is Hope?
2. How do you get Hope?
3. How is faith like Hope?
4. How is faith different than hope?

Thanks and God bless you,
Wayne
