God's will is only for salvation not for holy living? Calvinists must pick and choose...
I explained that the verses you provided, amongst many other biblical verses, are for the edification of the saints. Saved man is to, desires to, and seeks to, live by the moral rules set forth by God albeit doing so imperfectly; on the other hand, one's salvation, is not dependent those rules nor to our failure to execute them.

Atheism is marked by lack of belief in any God or gods:

disbelief or lack of belief in the existence of God or gods.

As a non-believer, I never identified as an atheist.

Not even as an agnostic...
Why any god? If it is not the true God, then what is believed in doesn't exist. So how does believing in that which
doesn't exist not make someone an atheist too? For example, if someone believes that frogs are god, would that make them an
atheist or not?

I gave the dictionary definition of atheist... here are some others:

a person who disbelieves or lacks belief in the existence of God or gods.
(general search engine definition)

Atheism, in the broadest sense, is an absence of belief in the existence of deities. Less broadly,
atheism is a rejection of the belief that any deities exist. In an even narrower sense, atheism is
specifically the position that there are no deities. Atheism is contrasted with theism, which in its
most general form is the belief that at least one deity exists.
(wiki)

Atheism is not a disbelief in gods or a denial of gods; it is a lack of belief in gods.
(atheists.org)

a person who does not believe in the existence of a god or any gods:
one who subscribes to or advocates atheism
(merriam-webster.com)

someone who does not believe in any god or gods, or who believes that no god or gods exist
(Cambridge dictionary)

a person who denies or disbelieves the existence of a supreme being or beings.

Okay thanks, I'll ponder that.

If I don’t believe like he does, that makes me an atheist.

You are claiming all that believe that God has given man a free will are atheists.
Maybe - not sure - that's why I said I would ponder it. Don't you ever have to think through something?

Nope, the RCC Calvinist view puts God as the author of sin. No thank you.
Oh yeah, you say Gods will isnt always done in respect to God wills people to be saved but they wont be saved, then you mention men have a freewill. So mans freewill trumps Gods Sovereign will to save.

Well, would you not label as atheists those who perceive God as being corruptible man, or birds, or fourfooted beasts and creeping things? Or do they just happen to believe in the wrong "God person"(s), since, using your criteria, they believe that God (but not the true God) exists?
Sometimes the "wrong God person" can be the equivalent of "no God person".

[Rom 1:22-23 KJV]
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

[Psa 14:1 KJV]
1 [[To the chief Musician, [A Psalm] of David.]] The fool hath said in his heart, [There is] no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, [there is] none that doeth good.

Well, his claim was silly since atheists don't believe in God.

Are you going to redefine atheism for us now, too?
No, you have redefined it from its intended biblical purpose by superimposing man's wisdom upon it. The Bible is its own authority, man's dictionary is not - the Bible alone should be perceived as its sole dictionary. As you said, your reply was based upon a dictionary definition of a word, but one not found in the Bible. So, if you're arguing a non-biblical word by using a non-biblical source for its non-biblical validation, then technically, in a non-biblical setting alone, limited by those parameters, I guess you might be technically correct. However, that is not what matters. Instead, had you referred back to the Bible as you should have to find its truth and had not rushed to trust in man's wisdom, you would have found that according to the Bible, one can believe there is a god - but a god that is no god - one of this world - one of man's making - and due to that still be an atheist. The attributes, characteristics and glory perceived within their god is what makes that of them, because by that, in effect, they are saying there is no God.

[Rom 1:22-23 KJV]
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

[Rom 3:10-12 KJV]
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

[Psa 14:1 KJV]
1 [[To the chief Musician, [A Psalm] of David.]] The fool hath said in his heart, [There is] no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, [there is] none that doeth good.

That seems more like a perversion of God rather than no God, but it is an interesting question.

You didn't see that I included your post in my reply? How did you miss it?
Yes, I saw you put a lot of effort and many many words into your diatribe against me for saying
atheism is marked by lack of belief in any God or gods. I suspect you had an ulterior motive.
