My friend believes his mind is being taking somewhere by a spirit. But when it happens it feals real and it's actually happening to him.

I have a friend who is becoming increasingly vacant. I'm so worried.

He tells my best mate he keeps being taking out of his body, and it's been happening his whole life, he just hasn't worked it all out until now he says.

He says, he beliefs he is being afflicted by a spirit, the strange thing is when he goes vacant it can last many minutes, and when he Comes to, we say you've been vacant again, he always says I've just been somewhere.

Its real to him and what happens whilst he's away seems real, all of sudden he goes vacant, he comes to and says he's been somewhere, and never believes us when we tell hims you've been there the whole time,

Where so worried. We put it down to day dreaming, but now where unsure, he just will not have it.

Once he was missing for 4 hours last year,
I found him in the laundry room curled up in ball, I thought he had fallen asleep so I walked out to tell his sister, my best mate where he was, but just as I was about to tell her he came in, my best mate asked him where he had been, he said he had been on a journey, the place he said he went to was a farm, some 50 miles away. We know that now because we where driving one day last week, and he said wait this was this farm I went to last year when you guys wouldn't believe me, he described every thing about the building the gate the horse arena, we drove in and every thing was as he explained, the rooster on the roof, the sign on the gate which said the only way is up,

Some of the other things that's been happening is he's accusing people of things that have not happend, he will not have it,

He now believes that he is having his mind taking out of his body by a bad spirit that is stealing his mind and also appearing as people he loves, and doing bad things to him, each time this has happend he has 100 percent felt it was true and accuses us of all sorts. May I ask, is your friend a Christian? If he is or isn't, has he had anything to do with the occult, ouija board, talking to spirits or "ghosts"? Has he any medical condition you know of?

we have seen him talking to somebody who is not there,
As for being saved, unsure to be honest, but if you want to express something on that basis feel free, it's ok, as for the ouija board, he's never said, he definitely has not anything to do with an occult, he hates that sort of thing,

Where scared if this is really happening the Doctors won't believe him, and it will mess his life up.

There is a condition called ... oh my goodness, I cannot remember what it is called, but it is a mental health issue where the person just checks out and becomes non-responsive even though there is nothing ostensibly wrong, like they have not had a stroke nor are they having a seizure, although in fact it may be called some kind of a seizure, but it is not like epilepsy. Theres a type of epileptic attack disorder actually called none epileptic attack disorder, which is a type of epilepsy, but not seizure based, where by the persons gets twitches and jolts quite frequently and goes vacant. These are his symptoms. But there is no medication for this type of epilepsy, only counselling, as Doctors feel it's related to a traumatic event.

This would not apply to a saved Christian i feal, but maybe Job 1 could apply to a saved person. But I don't think Anyone has ever considered Job 1 on the bases it was all a dream, but Satan was given everything under his control, which could mean Satan stole Jobs mind. Because we see the his family never actually died.

But we don't know if my friend has been saved his whole life because he asked Jesus into his life 6 months ago, but he is still having similar issues, maybe not as severe. But still issues. But we don't feal it's mental illness because there's no way he could have known the exact layout of the farm 50 miles away.

I suspect that when someone hears the Lord's word and is called to God and convicted of their sins by the Holy Spirit and if they respond by believing that word with a godly sorrow and confess that Jesus is Lord sincerely, then they shall be save and delivered with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

To my understanding, the evil one was given license to attack only as a special allowance. He even went back to the Lord for permission to escalate his attack of Job.

Job states in Job 3:25 KJV "For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of has come unto me."
Fear is contrary to faith, so that Job opened himself up by his lack of faith. Which seems only natural when we consider how any of us love our kids and if they turn evil in what they do, its harder to believe for good while fearing the consequence of their behavior at the same time. Reminds me of the parent with the possessed child and Jesus told him to believe and he cried, Lord, I believe, help thou mine unbelief.

yes, will pray. there is an easy solution to this: become a born again Christian. Read 1st John chapter 4. it teaches how to recognize false spirits. anything can seem real if you allow it. there's an old statement: "if you tell a lie long enough, you'll begin to believe it's true"! well, if you believe in evil sprits, they' will seem true. any Christian can cast out any demonic spirit in the name of Jesus Christ. help your friend by suggesting a Christian pastor to assist. AND JESUS IS FREE, HE DOESN'T CHARGE ANYTHING TO HEAL!!!!! YEAH!!!

I understand that in many practices of exorcism performed by priests, great lengths are gone to purify water and salt to make holy water for exorcism or baptising water, so much so the salt has to be pure, blessed an so does the water, blessed and pure and only someone who is saved can do this. But is water pure theses days with pollution or the blesser not following guide lines.

I don't want to get off topic but noticed something I wanted to address. You said we know it wasn't real what happened to Job because we see he never lost his family. I would see it that God blessed him with a new family. It says in Job 42:12, So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning. He didn't have twice as many children this time, but it says his girls were the prettiest around.

I'm sorry about you friend. It does sound demonic to me, especially the way he accuses you all of things. Satan is the accuser. Yes I will pray for him.

The only thing holy in this world is scripture and the bodies of those indwelt by the Holy Spirit. There is nothing holy about water. Natural objects cannot be spiritual.
No matter how great a deceiver the evil one is, he cannot deceive the Lord, ever!

I would need to ask his sister about that, we've had some rows lately. It's difficult for me talk to him at the moment, but I'm not sure what difference it would make knowing every detail,

Yes I'll be praying for him. Sounds to me like a couple of things might be going on here. For one, he seems delusional, imaging things that aren't real; and second, he sounds like someone who is crying out for attention. It can be very difficult being a friend to someone like this because it's exhausting; but that's probably what he needs most. Maybe you could just talk to him when he brings up this stuff and get him to open up more. If he finds some friends he can trust that would probably be a big help.

As far as the farm, that's easily explainable: He may have been there before without telling you; someone may have told him about it; or, more probable, he saw pictures of it online.
