I must be an exception. the moment I became a born again Christian, I walked from everything bad, wrong or sinful. I didn't even try, it just happened. Also, decades ago, when I assisted in forming a new rock band which was very successful in the Northeast, I stopped smoking pot & drinking. Again, I didn't try to do it, I just stopped suddenly. this is no brag. We all have strengths & weaknesses but in our family we are known for deep determination. Bit I can't play pool, darts, tennis, foosball or hockey if you paid me a million dollars!!!! hahahahaaa

True story: when I realized this I was in high school. It prompted me to dig into the record of the historical church. I wanted to find what went wrong and where. But that's another story for a different thread...
I think you’re right, the vast majority of people who attend church don’t know Christ. In other words, the vast majority of Christians aren’t Christian. Pagans in the pulpit and in the pew.

I read in an old JW magazine sometime around 1969 and 1970 (either the
Watchtower or Awake. I can't remember which) that Jesus could've failed,
he could've sinned. But considering his genetics, so to speak, I really don't
think he was 100% innocent due to personal resolve, rather, due to the divine
nature he inherited from his Father.
● Col 2:9 . . It is in him that all the fullness of the divine quality dwells
bodily.
The Greek word translated "divine quality" is theóteetos which means:
divinity
Seeing as how theóteetos is modified by the Greek definite article teés then
what we're looking at here in Col 2:9 isn't nondescript divinity, rather "the"
divinity. In other words: we're looking at all the fullness of Jehovah's
divinity. So then Jesus' divine qualities aren't merely like God's, they are
God's. Is it any mystery then how he was so successful?

It wouldn't surprise you to know that there are entire cultures built around Christian/religious ideas that have no value in the kingdom of God. This is the "form without power" outcome. In the U.S. an amalgamation of politics and religion has always existed, really without people realizing it. At its inception, the U.S. rejected the form of rule established by a king. Not just the king, but the form of rule. Consequently churches have integrated democratic principles within their milieu, the type of rule that is perhaps most unlike the rule of a king.
The church has changed its focus from discipleship to evangelism. Making converts instead of disciples. So there are many false professors among the true possessors.
Judgement always begins in the house of God for this reason. When God is working and not men, He first sifts the church, then multiplies it.
Because a lot of so-called Christians never loved the truth to begin with; so God has simply turned them over to their own delusions.
"But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived." 2 Timothy 3:13
You, I believe are old enough to remember the 70s and 80s Church services and the attention to what's being Preached, and the response to sound preaching.
Today doesn't understand how it was when those Revivals were happening. We were pushing JWs, Mormons off the streets because we were going home to home inviting people to Revival.
And now that God hasn't really moved since the people became satisfied, the JWs and Mormons are overrunning the knocking on door to door gig because if we wanted God to move we who know would be leading it.
But instead, it's being discussed like it can't be fixed..
Trinitarian says, "Jesus is equal in power to God the Father.
Jesus says, God the Father is greater.
Jesus says, "He can do nothing on his own.
Trinitarian says, "Jesus is equal to God the Father in knowledge.
Jesus said, "Only the Father know the day and hour of Jesus' return.
Trinitarian says, "Jesus is fully God and fully man.
Paul (or whoever the author of Hebrews) says, Jesus was fully human in every way!

For this reason he had to be made like them,[fn] fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.

Yes, trinitarian Christians destroy Christianity. It's the most contradictory doctrine in Christianity. Thousands were tortured and murdered over this demonic doctrine. Close to 50% of Christians now believe Jesus is NOT God. My heart is destroyed over this diabolical man-made demon devised Trinity doctrine where one Christian condemns the other. The ironic thing is this doctrine comes from a Church many Evangelical Protestants label as, "The Whore of Babylon!"
If Jesus was God that makes him a fraud and the cross a hoax!
We know that God cannot be tempted and cannot sin. IF Jesus WAS God, that means he's a fraud because he could not have been tempted to sin anyway making him a complete fraud and the cross a complete hoax!

So, you don't believe Jesus is God, but are a Christian based off your faith in the Father?
Trinity doesn't save or condemn anybody. Jesus is never called "God the son". I believe Jesus is divine but NOT God! Anyone who believes in Jesus' virgin birth life, miracles, crucifixion, burial, resurrection, and ascension - is a Christian!
It's impossible for Jesus to be God or better yet - equal to God the Father. Bible says God is ONE - NOT 3 in1. Bible says God cannot be a man. Jesus said he's NOT equal to the father. I believe Jesus and the bible. Who do you believe?
John 8:24...if ye believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins...
The trinity itself isn't a salvation issue, but understanding who Jesus really is actually is.
You're mixing up function for level of greatness.
Each member of the Trinity has different functions, but all are equal to each other.
The words "I am" in John 8:24 or any other verse, simply mean Jesus existed before Abraham. It does NOT imply a full co-equal deity!
Jesus is 100% man. The word 'FIRSTBORN' implies Jesus was created and had a beginning. God the Father is the Supreme being and One True God. The Spirit of God is the power of God manifested by the Seven Spirits of God.
There is a contra-distinction between the spirit of God and the holy spirit which was promised to believers as the advocate, enabler, and comforter. The holy spirit is an extra measure of the spirit of Jesus or of an angelic being.
In every instance where the word 'firstborn' is used, whether it's about the firstborn among the brethren, or the firstborn over all creation, or the firstborn from among the dead, or the firstborn into the world - or anything else - it always implies a beginning! NOT ONCE does it imply ETERNAL. The Textus Receptus uses the terminology, "BEFORE-most-BROUGHT-FORTH."
I take him at his word that he's the Christ - the anointed of God and the Father is greater.
He was the Christ - the Messiah. He was divine in that he came from the Father and had an uncommon measure of the Fathers Holy Spirit. That's how he overcame. Even so, at times, he needed to be empowered and encouraged by an angel to overcome. (Luke 22) IF Jesus was also God, why would he need any empowerment at all from an angel?
There is no trinity so there aren't different functions of 'IT". The different 'functions' come from the 7 spirits of God AKA God's OWN Spirit.
